You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
The Rest of the Story:
1: I know y'all have heard that Laughter can ease the pain of multiple things. I haven't ever seen a script written for fun and games but sometimes I think we should. You know: Fun and frivolity; take 2 times daily until sides hurt and then decrease doseage as needed until pain no longer exists. There, I think that would be a script anyone would like to get.
2: I'm going to tell you a true story today. Sometimes they have a miniscule bit of truth but this is by the book. I know cuz I was there to witness it.
3: In the Nursing Home you can find a wide variety of folks with a wide variety of illness and decline. Some are aware of their surroundings and some aren't. Some are happy and some are downright mean. Some are easy to care for and some just don't care. Well, in this NH there was a little man named Hervey who was an old farmer about 96 yrs old and all of his family had passed on ahead of him and he didn't see the reason of his still being here with us and he wasn't at all happy about it. Every day Hervey told us to just leave him alone and maybe he could go faster. Hervey never had a nice word to say to anyone or about anything. The food was awful, the coffee was cold, the sheets were wrinkled and so are your hose lady. On and on it went all day and every day..
4: Hervey would stay in his room and stare out the window at the same thing day in and day out if we would let him. Well, one payday our cook came in to pick up papers and check and had to bring her granddaughter with her. Now Lizzie (names have been changed) was the cutest, chubbiest, roundest faced little dumpling you ever saw. She wasn't able to walk much yet but Woweeee could that girl scoot and crawl. If you sat her down for more than a second, she was off like a flash of lightning scooting and crawling everywhere. Now it really wasn't that hard to find her because she also giggled constantly. She touched your face and giggled. She held your nose and giggled. She played with your hair and giggled. And WHOOOEEEE did she ever giggle if she touched a man's beard. Well, this particular day, Lizzie made her great escape right around lunch so everyone was busy feeding folks and didn't notice that she was headed right for ol' Hervey's chair. She pulled herself up onto his legs and sat there playing with his mile long beard and letting out peal after peal of laughter. Pretty soon, we all heard the strangest sound and turned around to see Hervey was actually LAUGHING!!
5: Let me tell y'all, we were all stunned and no one said a word and when Grandma tried to get Lizzie to leave; Hervey told her to mind her own business, they were gettin along just fine!
6: Yes, laughter really does help

Thanks for making cards for Leah! She has received a few cards already as the result of a previous post and was absolutely thrilled! I know she'll just love getting more happy mail. She's currently going through chemo so the timing is perfect. Thanks again for thinking of her.
