MMTPT363 ~ July 14, 2015~ Your Project's Got Glitches, It's Needing More Stitches!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #323
Your Project's Got Glitches, It's Needing More Stitches!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Queenie the bee is so full of energy...she buzzes from here to there at breakneck speed, always the first in to start a new project. Pollinating an orchard or garden, starting up a spelling or geography bee, it seems that she is always on the go!
2. Queenie may be there first, but she is never there to the last. She has a habit of starting things and not following through to the finish. Whether it is boredom or BADD (Bee Attention Deficit Disorder) Queenie just never seems to be able to finish a project...she leaves that to the drones all around her.
3. Queenie heard about some orphaned bee larvae who needed the basics of survival. She decided that a quilting bee was in order to keep the young'uns warm. In characteristic style, she cut out 42,000 shapes and began to piece them when lo and behold saw a pretty patch of petunias and moved on to them...forgetting to instruct the drones in the pattern that she had chosen. Mesmerized but perplexed by the dizzying display of shapes, the drones just buzzed about, unable to execute Queenie's unexplained plan.
4. Those poor little larvae! How will the next generation of bees ever survive? Stop buzzing and flying, those threads all need tieing. Your project's got glitches, it's needing more stitches!
5. I think you know where this is going, Teapotters...we need to help those drones with this quilting bee! Let's try to bee still and help those baby bees with our quilting.
Here is a wordless but energetic bit of musical inspiration for you:

My story goes like this: here's little bee, coming to help with the yet to be completed hive, stitched together with orange ribbon. She's brought her trusty friend Ms. Ladybug, and a chicken for backup. As for my card, I used a honeycomb ef for my background, added some dc hexies, sewn with orange ribbon, and added a handmade bee, made of two graduated sizes of black beads, and some yellow orange embroidery floss. Here's Bee Happy!
