MMTPT291~February 25~ New York City is the place to be
Welcome to Teapot Tuesday MMTPT291 and the sisterhood of the traveling teaparty for February 25, 2014
New York City is the place to be for fun times, culture, or tea.
We're overdue for an exciting time. I've selected a place that's oh so sublime. So sit back and relax; it's time to dine. Get ready for some good food and wine. We'll sup tonight at the renowned Sardi's. Our reservations at 8:00; so don't be tardy. Look at all the caricatures on the wall. I'll bet you can't name them all!
Wednesday's route takes us through Times Square. Steer clear of the Naked Cowboy because he's always bare. No matter the season or inclement weather he's playing his guitar in the altogether. We're heading to the Russian Tea Room, it is so pretty. Where else would teapotters go in New York City?
Then it's onto the Circle Line for a panoramic view of an iconic skyline. How many of our ancestors came through Ellis Island hailing from mountains, coasts, lowlands or highlands? It's here they came in hopes of a good life leaving behind family, famine or strife.
On Thursday up to Rockefeller Plaza we go to wish Jimmy Fallon good luck on the Tonight Show. It's back being broadcast from 30 Rock, we've got tickets, ignore the line stretching around the block.
On Friday the Museum of Natural History is our activity we'll see dinosaurs, treasures and lots of antiquities. The museum is so vast with so much to see it's certainly worth the donated fee. Saving time would be smart so for lunch we'll stop at a hot dog cart.
Tonight we'll take in a Broadway show, it will be nice to sit, since we've been on the go. Afterwards, we'll head to the Carnegie Deli that growling you hear is coming from my belly. I know what will hit the spot, a potato knish, piping hot. Then, a delectable slice of Junior's cheesecake, the ingredients are all natural, never fake. It is so rich and creamy, a real delight, forget the 42,000 calories in every bite.
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION: Bring something that reminds you of New York City. Good food, Fashion, culture, the Arts, Lady Liberty, skylines, the list is endless.
Everybody gets my favorite; a black and white cookie this week.

I picked a bad week to be away....I would love to have gone to New York. At least I will get to enjoy all of your wonderful cards. Have a great Teaparty, I'll be back next week.

I will be doing this also this week but I am going to be fashionably late as always. Had to take my son to do a speech screening test today so did not get time to work on mine.

Thanks for the fun Tickle challenge! I chose "New York Fashion Week" for the theme of my card. It was FUN to make and I hope the Teapotter who receives it will be pleased. I'll be browsing the gallery tonight or tomorrow. Cant wait to see the cards everyone made!
Was gone over this past weekend and didn't get signed up to tickle anyone. Looks like a fun challenge. Sorry I missed out. Will be back to play next week!!!
Great cards everyone.

Well, this is a week late and much more than a dollar short! Being a country girl, I think of big cities as sophisticated, but I also think of New York city as The Big Apple. The photo shows was original thought.
Here is the link to the card I ended up with. It will be in the mail today. The Big Apple by yellowrose46 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
