The Rest of the Story:
Once upon a time in a land far away lived the beautiful Princess Phoebe who loved animals of all kinds. She loved to sing with the birds and run with the deer in the woods behind the family's castle. One day, running by the lake trying to find the foxes new den, she came upon a small grayish mass of wet feathers that let out a weak cheep. She wrapped the small creature in her scarf and ran to the castle kitchen where she yelled for Old Maggie the castle cook. Old Maggie was also known by the village people as a medicine woman and together they dried the wee bundle and warmed it by the kitchen fire. Every day Princess Phoebe ran to the kitchen when she first got up to check on her wee charge, and again after lessons were through for the day. She would sit for hours singing to the wee bird and feeding it drops of liquid off the tip of her fingers.
Soon the bird was back on it's feet and following Princess Phoebe all around the castle much to the amusement of the cooks and the castle knights. However Princess Phoebe's sisters and the Queen were not so pleased as birds tend to leave a mess everywhere they go. So the Queen decreed that it was time for the chick to be put out with the rest of the castle flock. Princess Phoebe dutifully took the chick out and introduced her to the rest of the birds and scolded her when she tried to follow her back into the castle.
It wasn't long before the chick which had been named Beauty for the way it carried itself, realized that she wasn't like any of the other birds in the flock and her feathers were slowly turning a beautiful fluffy white. The other birds realized that she wasn't like them either and soon started pestering her constantly and even trying to pluck out her beautiful white plummage. Beauty often took refuge in the castle kitchen or it's enclosed gardens and there began having feelings of being at home amongst the flowers. She realized she must belong with a different flock near pretty flowers and a water pool to swim in.
Beauty started waddling down toward the lake one day and kept on going looking for the garden she knew she belonged in. Along the way she spotted many animals of wild and interesting types but none that looked like her and no garden of flowers like the kindly cook had tended back at the castle; so she kept on walking......and walking....and walking.....
Challenge translation:
We need to help Beauty find her garden. So bring a garden of flowers to roam in, a lake to swim in, a rock to sun on, etc. whatever you think would make a grand place for Beauty to end her journey at.

MMTPT233~Destination Station:
This week our destination is Pearland, Texas. If you would like a destination for your card, how about sending it to Martha. Martha has been brought to our attention by our very own Mothermark who is her loving niece.

This is my second attempt at a card this week. First attempt looked like something a first grader would have created. We had miserable weather the last couple of days so it was nice having a project to do. Here is my CARD.
HELP! I seem to have forgotten how to link a card from my gallery to this thread. I have a Mac and if anyone is familiar with process involved could you please send me a PM with the instructions. Thx so much.
Elizabeth
[QUOTE=philsmom;19943610][FONT=Arial][SIZE=3][COLOR=blue]No swans, but a hummer having a snack while waiting to welcome Beauty to the garden.
Fran, just keep in mind, the bigger the bird, the bigger the poops! Same with a dog too! I don't have a dog, but if I did, it would be a small one, no Great Dane for me!
I love hummers and noticed the female has just started collecting cotton for her nest, I wonder where it will be! They are still doing their mating ritual.
OMG! Thank you all! Martha's gallery is wonderful and she will be so thrilled to receive some happy mail at this time! You teapotters are da bomb! Love you guys....and thank you from the bottom of me heart!!!
I did not have a chance to make a new card for Martha this week on the Tea Potter's Challenge. So I dug into the old stash and found a lovely card to send.

Hey Elizabeth! I am back in this thread too! Giggle! To say thank you all again! Thank You All Again! Wowza...what beautiful cards are going my Aunt's way, you guys rock!
I am happy to be joining the teaparty again this week. Here is my card, which is a card made to stand up for display. It will be on the way to Martha today.
I did a card for the challenge - late, late, late. It is on my blog, but I am having trouble uploading to SCS for some reason - not sure if it is the new editing software I am using, operator error, or the challenge police (LOL). My card is in the mail pile now and should be off to Martha tomorrow. Hugz!
