MMTPT151 ~ DESIGNER DODGE BALLS, THEY ARE ALL THE NEW RAGE
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #151
Designer Dodge Balls, they are all the new rage!
Available in pink, purple, and a wonderful new sage!
They are perfectly balanced to improve your aim,
And carefully constructed, guaranteed not to maim!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Button, Button, Who's Got The Button? Quite a collection on this fun teapot! But that's not what we're talking about today. We talking about the fact that 42,000 new High School graduates have recently entered the workforce! Hey, its not easy to figure out what you are gonna do after all that High School fun! The ultimate scenario would be to continue to have fun with your friends but make money at the same time! Big money! How hard could it be? We are about to find out!
2. Dodgeball Donna, she's the one in the sauna! The athlete of the group! But professional Dodgeball? Is there such a thing? Hmm......and selling saunas? Nope! Donna loves her time spent in the sauna, she doesn't wanna mix work with pleasure! No way!
Molly T. Moyer, the Lawsuit Lawyer! The brainiac of group! She pretty much got through High School by the end of 6th grade! She's already been to college and passed the bar! But a girl still wants to have fun, so she's come back to celebrate with her friends and accept her high school diploma!
Deanna the Designer, her things are much finer! The clothes horse of the group! I don't think she has worn the same outfilt twice from kindergarten all the way through High School. Did you see her rhinestone studded cap and gown with shoes to match?
They have a plan, Stan! (He's the school janitor!) Designer Dodgeballs! They can't believe that no one else has come up with this idea! They are gonna get rich! Dodge Ball Donna was right! Dodge balls could use a little makeover, they are that goofy sorta reddish color with those ugly little bumps on them! The only thing they have going for them is that they are round, a very cool shape! She will be such a success in charge of product testing! And Deanna, the Designer? Well, who better to be in charge of design and company purchasing! She's even offered to integrate some of her *already worn* designer baubbles into some fun new designs! And Molly T. Moyer? What if one of their Desginer Dodge Balls causes injury to a person when they get nailed, or if someone trips on a bauble that came off a ball, or if something flies through the air and puts an eye out, or if a bauble on a ball ruins the surface of the newly refinished gym floor or... Wait a minute! Quit thinking about that depressing stuff! Molly T. Moyer, the Lawsuit Lawyer will handle all that!
3. The only place they are lacking is in the Adversiting/Marketing Department! Hey Deanna! What about Chad? Chad Inventafad! You know that geek that has been asking you out every weekend for the last 12 years of school? He might be a little nerdy but he's the King of Marketing Plans and Slogans! Enter Chad Inventafad, it's all about the ad! He came up with the most incredible company slogan that will sell the look, the performance and the safety of our new product! And you know Chad, that goofy lad! He has always claimed the way to big money is to invent-a-fad, ride the wave, then sell the concept just as it's peaking! Huge, big money to be had, says Chad!

4. Okay, so this thing is off and running! Who'da thunk that they could not keep up with production? They haven't even reached the peak yet and they are working night and day trying to fill orders! They can't even relax in the sauna, go shopping or read The New York Law Journal! Bring Designer Dodge Balls and lots of them! You name it, anything goes! You don't have to worry about whether or not your embellishments are dangerous or not! They don't have time to be worrying about law suits, they just gotta get these orders filled! They have already collected the money!! Just bring Designer Dodge Balls! Lots of them! Everyone knows, anything goes!
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Bring round cards (Dodge Balls, silly!) And embellish them designer style! No worries about embellishment lawsuits, we will be long gone to our next teaparty before the papers are served! Whoot!
Oh, and you have to come in the back door of the gym if you bring a card with corners! And its smelly back there! Sorry, but the girls are drawing the line here, cuz Dodge Ball Donna says our Designer Dodge Balls still have to bounce, that's what counts!
TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION #MMTPT151:
This week's destination is Stuart, Florida. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Sandy, a friend of a friend of fellow teapotter Charlene (Cookiebaker) who is currently undergoing chemo for her second bout with breast cancer. For more information about Sandy as well as the address to send you card, please visit Post #232 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT151 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater! If you dont' want to cheat, I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it sometimes during the weekend before the next Tuesday!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
I not big into shaped cards, but of course, would do whatever you asked for one of our deserving recipients, Cindy! : ) This WAS a button....three of four doodads ago! I thought your teapot was so cute!
I tried something new for this (yes Cindy, it's a "technique" and I know you don't do them!). I didn't photograph it very will, but you'll get the idea. My card.
On time two weeks in a row! Unfortunately Sandy is going to have to wait because of the Postal strike that is going on. I will mail it as soon as I can.
Hi there my fellow teapotters!! Haven't been around for a few weeks and I missed all of you lovely ladies. I see I came back just in time for a game of Dodgeball. This could be interesting! I chose to go the vintage route with my circle card......and this was my first time making a circle card too! But I did put lots of bling on it!
Heres mine...I know I'm late, but better late than never. I think I have a good excuse. I was busy on my birthday...actually I woke up, didnt even think about it being my birthday until my son send me a text asking how it felt to be old. Gotta love the kids.
Teehee, loads of people asked what I was cooking. I was making a box of pasta before it expired. That's how come I had so much time to post comments- in between stirrings ;)
I stamped a background stamp on a PP. Not sure about the name of the stamp- all it says is product code 54001. It's made in Canada, and the brand is Harmonie. It's a pretty huge stamp: 8 1/2" long and 5 1/2" wide. I lay it on a flat surface, ink up the stamp, put the paper I want to stamp over it and go over it with a brayer. The scrapbook store owner suggested this method, and it honestly is, I think, the only one that would work for such a huge stamp! Am so glad I did buy the stamp, instead of leaving it because it seemed like too much effort. I use it frequently and people love it. It really is very like a zentangle, actually! the card is already inside a closed envelope, but I promise I'll take a better pic for the next TPT!
Here's my card for this week's challenge! Woohoo I'm caught up! (I think) LOL
Thanks once again for the change to encourage someone Cindy.
