A big thank you to all the Teapotters who sent me sympathy cards for the loss of my mother. I was in Oklahoma and had forgotten my splitcoaststampers pass word so I could not log in to thank you for the beautiful cards I saw in the gallery. I got home last eve and got my mail this a.m. WOW so many and each so beautiful and I thank you for the thoughts and prayers. Another big wow..while in Oklahoma less than a week after my Mom's funeral, I was walking in the cross walk at Wal-Mart and a car struck me and ran over my right leg and foot. I have been laid up a bit from that as well. So glad to be home and off to the Dr. in a few minutes. Thanks again for all the love!

Kayla's teaparty Dec 2013. I recently saw Kayla's mother and she gave me this great update. Kayla is still cancer free. She keeps her tea party cards close to her all the time and when she is having a bad day, she takes them out and they make her feel better. She feels so blessed to have had a teaparty and receive all the wonderful cards and messages that she received. Once again, just a reminder that our cards do have meaning and can make a difference in someone's life. Never underestimate the value of your cards or the kind jester of caring. Karen (Falconburg) asked me to update you guys. She still keeps her cards where she can see them. Last week she was diagnosed CANCER FREE!!!. she has a few chemo treatments left but everything looks good. She has lost over 45 pounds and is still waiting for her hair to grow back. Right now it is about 1" on top and she wears a wig when she goes out - which she hates. We are so blessed with the recent news. Thank you all for sending encouragement when she needed it most. Just letting y'all know that the officer we sent (Dr. Who) cards to has been progressing very well in rehab and has been discharged from rehab in CO and will continue therapy closer to home. He is able to now speak in partial sentences, and take few steps with walker. I also know that the Dr. Who cards traveled to CO with him.

Another update:

The nurse who lost her leg due to post op complications is on a prosthesis, back at work partial days, and is back at the gym. She even ran a mile on her prosthesis about a month ago.


And another:

The boy whose town was celebrating Christmas early has now passed about 2 weeks ago. He had the best Christmas ever and had his cards displayed proudly all over the house.

I received a wonderful thank you card from Ronnie and his wife Darlene. To all of those who sent him Get well wishes (from his burn accident) this is what his card said:

Jan, thank you for the card you sent, but also thank you for all of your friends from ALL OVER. All the cards were beautiful and it was great for Ron he couldn't believe people would send him cards. Hope you are doing OK. We will come see you soon. Love Ron and Darlene.
