Today my DD called to say my her grandmother-in-law passed away, and seeing as she was in a nursing home near me, and my daughter lives in the Ottawa valley, they are coming to stay with me for a few days. Looking forward to seeing my little grandson!
Is this your DD and DGS in your avatar shot? Enjoy them, even though it's for a sad reason.
And my desk area, is an organized mess too, but I know where everything is! I need to get into a purge mode. If I'm at my Mom's and the DH wants something, I can tell him exactly where to go, er look! hahaha
Jennifer, no, the one who called me is not the one in the avi with me, but seeing as my two girls are married to brothers, the one in the avatar will also be coming this way, but probably not as long as she lives only 50 miles away and her baby is only three months old, and the one who is here now is 9 months old.

What a wonderful idea to send some good cheer to the staff at the Marion LT Facility. This may just do the trick for those Grumblebumps! I'll get a card out tomorrow, when I mail Sara's card.
I have a card ready to go to the staff.
I wrote a message on a sticky note, and suggested that, after all the staff had seen it, they could share with a patient in need of some TLC.

OMGoodness Dorothy . . . what a brilliant idea! I love it!

wow!!! great idea...a double RAK....sheer genius...
I got such a nice thank you card from Sharon....thanking me for a thank you card I had sent to her...what a nice thing to do...as if she has time on her hands to send thank yous! Geeze!
First, I need to apologize for being so negligent in my postings! Although its not an excuse, its been a very challenging year with my dads health issues, work stress and my own health stresses. All that being said, life does go on!
Unfortunately, I still dont have any good news about Gypsy. The week before last, there was a meeting regarding the Human Rights Tribunal. I have not heard any details as Sharon had to sign a confidentiality agreement regarding this meeting. The one thing I do know is that he did not get his wheelchair back and that it will be going to court in six to 12 months!
I could blow the roof off with my personal feelings on this but I wont!! As you can imagine, Gypsy needs more TLC than ever before! He is running out of fight and hope and is extremely discouraged and who can blame him?!
Canada Day is coming up (July 1st) and although a Canada Day card isnt necessary, I thought it might be a good time to put out a reminder that if you want to make one for Canada Day or send any card from your stash, Gypsy would greatly appreciate it. Sharon still talks to him almost every night and it would be great for her to hear him try to describe the cards he has received. Any scripture you want to include would be totally appropriate also.
As always, no pressure. Also, if you have a second card for Sol, that would be much appreciated! Sols birthday is on Canada Day! If you are able to send a card (or cards) thats wonderful. Whether you can or not, some prayers for both would be appreciated.
Hopefully both gentlemen have gotten the cards I sent, over a week ago. They should have arrived in time for Canada Day (yesterday) and Sol's birthday (also yesterday).
Thanks everyone! I just checked in with Sharon to see if Gypsy said anything about the cards. They're not in touch with Sol anymore, so I won't hear anything about him. I'm sure he's received them all and appreciates ALL the beautiful thoughts and prayers that go with them! I have no phone and no computer right now (am checking in from work right now) so have been out of touch! Will keep you posted!
Any time the thought hits you to send to Gypsy will be greatly appreciated! His battle continues . . .
Sharon has spoken to Gypsy and he LOVED, loved, loved the beautiful cards he received! He tries to describe them to Sharon on the phone, and she always gets to see them when she visits. Thank you all again for your dedication and love in supporting him (them).
I just found out that Gypsy lost a friend due to Cancer. She was a friend who was in the same facility he is in and he has so few friends in there, that her loss will be felt in a huge way. Sharon was consoling him last night for quite awhile. He has just had so many blows, one after the other! He somehow made it to the hospital to visit her - he was so determined to say goodbye in his own way. When Sharon asked how he got there, he said I just kept asking people for help! I am so grateful on his behalf for the beautiful people that helped him! If you happen to have a card in your stash, here's another opportunity to support him. As always, only do what you can - it is always appreciated. Gypsy and Sharon have their prayer time every night so scripture is definitely appropriate! Thanks so much

Jennifer, I don't hear reports on specific cards that were received but I assume yours arrived! Thanks so much for thinking of both of them! hugs, Charlene
Hello ladies....My thoughts & prayers goes out to everyone that you are sending cards off too. I can't wait to come back & play in this challenge, I miss it so much. We sign the papers & do the walk through tomorrow for the house so hopefully I'll get my stamping/sewing room back in action soon.
I know it's been a long time since I communicated! Where does the time go?!
Thanks to everyone who continues to send cards to Gypsy and Sol. Gypsy's birthday is coming up ( November 20 ) so if you have a birthday card in your stash or need an excuse to make one . . . I know he would appreciate it!
Something I have been meaning to update you on . . . There was a meeting awhile back, that unfortunately, I'm not allowed to know the details of. Suffice to say, Gypsy is now 2 years without his motorized wheelchair!
The next phase of the process is in May 2014 and awhile back, Sharon was inundated with paperwork for this Human Rights Tribunal court appearance. She and many others had been praying for help and answers and results. One of the answers to the prayers, came in the form of a lawyer. Sharon called someone who couldn't help, but they in turn gave her this woman's name. The files and everything were handed over to this woman, who is as passionate about winning as Sharon was in helping Gypsy! It truly was an answered prayer because Sharon was overwhelmed with the task! So, Gypsy has a lawyer who is helping him! It is a big win even though he is still without his chair!
I am trying to focus on this win and that more help will come his way!
So, that's a very quick update!
Again, thanks to all who continue to think of Gypsy and Sol, who continue to pray for them and when you can, send cards or messages of hope!
