I would like to thank everyone that made and posted a card for last week's alphabet challenge. I think we all had to really think about that one. hehe. I bet you are wondering who is the recipiant of last week's "J" cards?? Well the recipient is:
StampMontana
Congrats Montana!!!! Please pm the address to where you would like the cards to be mailed to. And thank you for joining us.
Okay ladies, are you ready for this week's letter? This one made me think.....so here it is....this week's letter is "N".
If you are new to the alphabet challenge this is how it works. In the beginning I put all the letters of the alphabet onto a piece of paper and placed them in a bowl. Each Wednesday I draw a letter from the bowl. The challenge is for you to make a card using an item that begins with the letter that was drawn.
Then you post the card in this forum so we can leave you love. Plus your name will go into the drawing to find out who is going to be the receiver of the cards made. If your name is drawn you can have the cards sent to you or where ever you wish. Please note in order to have your name in the drawing you must post your card in the forum. Also note, it is NOT mandatory that you send your card to anyone.
Also, please keep in mind that the challenge is to use an item that begins with the letter, not something in general. For example: if the letter is "B" do not use "Blue" as your item. You can use a button, buckle, bow, etc...
If you have any questions feel free to ask them here in the forum or you can pm me. The most important rule is to HAVE FUN!!!!!
I can't believe I won the drawing again. I think my name should be left out of the drawing next week. Let someone else have a chance! I say mail your cards to someone that you know needs some happy mail---someone who needs a message from a friend.
The letter N is going to be a little bit tough. I am thinking about it. I think I have it narrowed down to 2 possibilities with what I might have to use.
I just wanted to let you know that I did mail you the "Q" card. I was a little slow in getting it to the P.O. but I mailed it about 4 days ago, so I hope you will receive it in a few more days!
No problem..I'm used to it taking a few weeks to get here in the Great WHite North LOL

G'morning ladies. Yes the letter N made me think too. If someone needs to use the same item I did that is fine to do. Oh and ladies, I am super super sad. I started having an allergic reaction again. I noticed I was itching some but didn't pay attention to it. However, when I sat to watch tv my brother pointed out that I have welts again. Guess what I was doing yesterday that I also did the day I broke out with the welts before??? Embossing I go see the doctor at 10:15 this morning. Not Dr. Doofus tho, my family doctor. I just hope I don't get as sick as I was the last time. That was horrible. But I think if I make it to the docs without getting sick to my tummy he will probably give me the same shots he did last time and what not. So hopefully I caught it early enough this time. What am I going to do?? Allergic to embossing powder?? or ink??? Oh and it started on my feet this time...which means I must have gotten it on the floor. Which with as much as I was embossing would not have been hard to do.
I am so sorry to hear you are having allergic reaction again. I pray this goes away quickly. Did you get all traces of the hair product cleaned out of your shower and bathroom from before?
Only 2 more days until May begins! We had snow on the mountains last night, down quite low. I guess it was rain in the valley. All cloudy and cool today. I am thankful that we didn't have bad weather like in the south. My heart and prayers go out to those that are suffering from the extreme weather there.
Hello ladies, I am fine. Doc thinks it was just a re reaction type thing. Ya know...a little left over from before. So thank God it's not my embossing stuff. So...I am leaving tomorrow to go see grandson. And I did meet my new granddaughter. She is a doll. So..I hope everyone has a great day!! I will be back on later. Hugggs.
Dani,
I am thinking about you and praying you are getting some relief from your allergic reaction.
I hope we see you back here soon. Take care.
Hi Montana, thank you. I honestly don't know what's going on. This morning I was doing better. Tonight, I now have welts on my arms and feet. I don't get it. I am using the same soap and laundry soap so...oh well....this too shall pass, right??
JCI I am amazed at what I got done so far today. My sleep meds have had me on Aussie time (day/night mixed up) and today I managed to get up at 10AM!!!! Yeah!!! I need to do this week's letter and get laundry done but will continue to AVOID doing the rest of the chores till tomorrow. LOL
I think the cat stole my mojo...my DS says the card I made for the letter N...well the cat could do a better job. UUUGHHH I so totally agree. Back to the drawing board for me.
Hey ladies.......I couldn't think of anything for the last two letter challenges.....and now the letter 'N'!! I'll do my best to see what I can come up with cause I really like to play. I'm up at the cabing this weekend so I don't have any card making stuff with me....so I'll have to see what I can come up with on Monday. Later!!
Hey Suzy what are the water levels like where you are? I know there is lots of flooding and worries the crops won't go in on time. Inquiring minds want to know.
I hereby revoke my French-Canadian status. I totally did not even think of NOEL until now. I will try and find one of my stamps and get working. (gives herself the whack to the back of the head) LOL

Crafter it's pretty incredible around here. There are roads flooded and closed all over the province. It's like a maze trying to drive around in the country because of all the water. There's water flowing over some of the highways around here and in a community just 30 minutes away they were sand bagging water to keep it from going over one of the roads close to that community so the town wouldn't get flooded. It doesn't matter where you drive you can see water running like crazy through culverts and under bridges. The good thing though is the water levels have come down quite a bit over the last week so hopefully it continues so the farmers can get into their fields in the next couple of weeks.
I heard it was that bad. My God. It mus t be crazy. It's funny for years I have always sought a house on high ground but never lived in a flood prone area. Though this has served me well with the huge volumes of water we've been getting. Keep your head above water!!! I pray to God it goes away soon.
Hello ladies, Suzy and FM, please be safe. I fear floods so much. We had one here last year, our lake drained out completely. It was unreal. There is a place call Tommy Barletts here. He puts on an awesome water show, he lost out big. They have since refilled the lake but wow, what a mess that was.
Also, just a reminder, we get a new letter tomorrow. So, if you are having a problem with the letter N and would like some help feel free to ask. Maybe we can throw some ideas to one another.
G'morning ladies. Wow Montana is on the ball today. Can you thro some of your mojo my way please. lol....Ladies, I have a busy day today so I am going to post this week's letter and then make my card after I get back from the doctor's office. I don't want to hold y'all up. So......without any further delay; this week's letter is:
D
The winner of last week's N cards is:
StampMontana
Way to go Montana!!!!
Ladies, if you are going to send your "N" card to Montana, please pm me for her address.
If you are new to the alphabet challenge, thank you for joining us. Please go to the first post for instructions on how this challenge works. And then jump on in and have fun with us!!!
I was so excited to find out the new letter for the week, but I was out for quite a long time today--shopping, so I didn't get started on anything yet. Maybe I will tomorrow after work. I have quite a few ideas for letter D.
I think it is great that both of Dani's challenges are getting some new participants!
Thank you Montana. I am glad they are getting new comers as well. FM, what are you going duh over?? Well ladies, I do have my "D" card done. And here it is:
Your card is great, but I have had my name drawn so many times lately, I am beginning to feel a little guilty! I think it would be wonderful for you to add it to your cards for the troops! I know that they will really appreciate it and it will help them know how much we appreciate them!!

I spent Friday night and most of Saturday crafting with a very good friend of mine this past weekend and I can't believe I'm actually ahead of the game this week! This is a card I made this past weekend and it fits perfectly for this weeks letter D!
Love your card. I have a list of 11 possibilities that I have stamps for that would fit this letter, but drill is not one of them. I think we are going to have quite a few diffrent ideas for this letter. I wish I could start my card right now, but I need to get off of here and go to bed. I have to be at work EARLY in the morning!
I can't wait til tomorrow afternoon!
Goodnight.

If you would like to send your card to Lynn for the troops, that would be nice, too! You could save a little on mailing the card to a Canadian address.
I love both your cards and may be borrowing some ideas from these when I make Christmas cards later this year.

Jeri, no need to feel guilty. You won fair and sqaure. The only time I would do a re-draw is if your name gets drawn three times in a row. However, that isn't the case so....no need to feel guilty. Also, I already sent my card out....sorry. One more thing...I started a new swap. Come and check it out. Just CLICK HERE.
BTW Hi Jeri, FM, Suzy. I hope y'all are doing well.
good morning ladies. Today will be spent spring cleaning the master bath then off to make cards for a swap. Believe it or not I fell asleep at one o'clock yesterday afternoon and didn't wake up until three o'clock this morning. Finally!!!! I must say...it felt good, however, I was upset that I wasted a day sleepin. I don't normally sleep during the day. I guess not getting rest at night caught up with me.
