So we are waiting for next year right? ( I have 4 or 5 packs of those sisal wreaths) you know the ones that are like 3/4" thick, so not flat but totally cute... I actually used one on the tag I made for an IC sample last night and its got me thinking I need to figure out some other way to use them as I do think they are cute and I have not really put them on cards because, I know they would just get smooshed and or break the postal machines.. so, one thing I am trying to do is use my hoarded treasures on gift tags as they usually end up hand delivered or boxed if mailed.
I used a bunch of supplies to make a travel pocket scrapbook for a gift today. They are project life type cards. I wrapped it and forgot to take pictures. .

I am trying to be better at doing my samples for challenge teams in advance, and so. I have actually made 2 Christmas cards so far today. (one goes live tomorrow) both used a lot of stash things along with one new tool on the one that made it into the gallery. I have a suspicion that a lot of my cards will fall into the "Christmas" section. but, a lot of what I do is more along the lines of Puttering, I am currently chopping up scraps with dies. to have the bits and pieces be easier to just grab and use.

I will again continue my tradition of trying to use up my tote of items that sits on my desk. Oh, how this tote seems to have a never-ending bottom of items to use up. LOL! This year I am also going to try to use up several designer paper pads. My family seems to buy me more and more paper pads, and I found that I am not getting to the end of those. So, my gallery will be filled with a few papers that I have pulled aside to try and use up. Last year I was able to finish up 5 paper pads and one on the very last day of the year. I am going to try to meet that again this year and will be posting links to cards when I am using those paper pads I am trying to use up.
I'm in. I've pretty much quit buying paper and embellies because I have tons of stuff and trying to use it.. Joining in with UseIt's mostly a matter of remembering to tag it when I post it.
Here is my first upload of 2026! I used my older stamp pads from SU! Yes I still have retired Yo-Yo Yellow and Almost Amethyst. I think it was in their first ever colors! LOL They are still good and I thankfully have the refills. Now, just to remember to use them! I never bought any other colored inks, except for the TH oxides. I still use SU! ink pads. I will say the earlier pads don't go dry as quickly as the newer pads. I quit buying ink pads a long time ago because I have so many.
Sharon, I own those colors in cubes. I bought a box of subtle cubes and brights cubes. These were the first SU inks I ever bought and probably the first colored inks. This was back when my sister was a demo and I would build my own show spending the total needed for a hostess set. I am sure we do nit have ink refills for these. I have one for tempting turquoise as I really like that color.
One of my crafting goals for the year is to post one card to this thread every week. Here's the first one of the year! The mermaid and the fish are new, but everything else is older items from my stash.
Lisa and Sharon,
I am a huge fan of Tempting Turquoise, too. I just finished up my open package of cardstock, and I have a new unopened package left! I think I still have some ink refill left. I wish SU would bring some of those old colors back for a visit. I love all the old Brights colors.
I agree, Arlene, on the bright colors. I think I have two full packs of tempting turquoise and an open pack. It matches Gina K Designs turquoise sea, which is why I bought the cardstock. I was out of my Gina K cardstock and this was easier and a bit cheaper to get. My sister has been a demo off and on for years and I use to pay her directly with her discount. New changes with SU have made that impossible. However, I own a lot of SU cardstock.
I used some really old papers for this one, including one I'd never even cut, and I'm so glad I did. WT1088 Exercise buddies by stampingwriter at Splitcoaststampers
ALSO-- VSN is coming up at the end of the month. I always find that VSN is a good way to use old supplies (probably because I turn to the tried and true when facing a time deadline.) Hopeyou can join us!
Here is a card using an old SU! Set, fibers and a gel print from my drawer. Can’t remember when I have had my gel plate out, so that is old stash, too! I didn’t even remember I had any fibers left! Thought I got rid of all of them! LOL
Here are two! I realized today that I was using Bazzill cardstock that I had purchased at Tuesday Morning! How long have they been gone? 3 or 5 years? a while!
