Hi Everyone! So sorry to be absent from the challenge(s) lately, my hubby is in a rehab/nursing home recovering from surgery for a high-grade brain tumor on 03/09/22.
We are not sure of the pathology yet, but it appears to be a high grade glioblastoma (FYI- this is his fifth cancer over the past twenty years). It was quite a shock since he was doing so well in the past couple years since his bladder/prostate cancer surgery :-) We are praying for a miracle, but are thankful to know that my hubby accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1996.
Since they were only able to remove part of the tumor, it has affected his speech, ability to walk, decision making, etc. He most likely will never regain the speech/decision making abilities, but he is getting a bit stronger each day and can stand (with assistance) as well as take a few steps. We are praying that he will get stronger and plan to bring him home late next week :-)
Due to his situation, I have not been able to create as much as I used to, I created this card for the new #172 Card Concept Easter Blessings Challenge using images, etc. that I had in my stash ready to go. I used the Bunny Retreat image that was already heat embossed and colored along with an embossed background panel and older dsp. SC177_TCC172 Bunny Retreat
Hugs and thanks to all of you who are continuing to play along!
Julie, I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I know that life can be difficult, but we just need to continue to trust in the Lord and his plan for all of us. I shall keep you and your family in my prayers.
Here is a card I made using more things from my stash.

Here are some cards I made today using up some old stuff and breaking out brand new supplies (or new to me, since I buy a lot of used stuff from Ebay), as well as using up paper scraps:

Reason: updating
Hi Everyone! I am sharing a card that I designed a while ago using SC407 for the layout and several stamps, dies and paper from my stash.
Sorry to be away from SCS for a while, my hubby was diagnosed with a glioblastoma on March 9th and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24th. The memorial service is on May 22nd and I am working on the details - transferring our old photos to digital, creating a slideshow, etc.
I am so thankful that you have been participating in the challenge thread here at SCS. I hope to be able to be more active after the end of May....
