Thank you Julie for starting the thread again this year. I am still trying to use that tote of items on my craft table. In the middle of last year my MIL had a friend move to Michigan. She was a quilter and paper crafter and she decided to give up paper crafting. My MIL brought home a huge box of supplies and now I am in the process of clearing out those items that were added to the tote.
Here are two cards I have made with my tote items:
Thanks for the ref from the bvc22 group @Julie Gearinger ! This is the story of my artful card-making life the last two years of lockdown: use up my existing supplies!! I won't go back and edit all my gallery keywords, but I'm all for this use and reuse vibe :-P
Here's my first card for USEIT2022. Dusted off an old Taylored Expressions mini set to make this cute surfing card inspired by the Wide World of Sports theme from VSN. Surf's Up
Created a birthday card for my youngest daughter - dug out punches that haven't been used in many years. Hope the pearls stay attached as they too have been languishing in my stash for a very long time. ABC16G7 Glama-Llama Birthday by Isaiah40:31 at Splitcoaststampers

Thank you Julie for starting the 2022 thread! I really enjoy the Use It challenge as it continually reminds me not to forgot those old and often dusty items in my tool/ elements stash!
I have just posted my final card to the December 2021 thread, but note it here, as well, because I assume 2021 is now pretty much closed.

This was a birthday card for my husband's brother.
My OLD item(s): 2018 punch (Tailored Tag) and 2019 stamp/ die set (Friends Like You/ Friendly Silhouettes). It was good to pull these out after two years and re-use them!
It's been some time since I've linked from my gallery, so we'll see if I do it right. I finally dug into some of my very, very old embellishments and made a card or two. This is one that uses a large printed chipboard piece. Rah! by kazeka at Splitcoaststampers
I am playing some "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking with a few current ones as well!
My OLD item(s): 2016 stamp (Honeycomb Happiness), Stamp Write markers, Scalloped Scallops punch. My OLD/NEW items: Perfectly Artistic dsp, Duck Tape Rainbow Glitter, Savvy Die: Thank You Cursive. I just opened these and used them for the first time.

Hi Carlene,
Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on my gallery cards. How fun to see notifications and then to see that you took a look! I'd forgotten all about most of those.
Karen
I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking. This is an anniversary card for my youngest daughter and her husband for the USE IT Challenge--2022/ January.
My OLD item(s): Leftovers from cards I made way back in 2009 stored when my sister closed her scrapbook store! I've love this collection of papers and the Papertrey leaf/ acorn stamps/ dies belonged to my sister. I love them so made a little stash to keep for future use!. Also, got a stash of BoBunny Double Dot from Sis when the store closed...it was one of my favorites back then to use as backgrounds and card insides! Figured it was time to pull out stuff I found and use it since fall was my intended theme!
My son has been under the weather for over a week, and I made him a zany get well card to cheer him up.
OLD item: 2012-2014 SU DSP paper stack. OLD/NEW item: my little turtle digital image...computer image file for quite a while...first time I've inked him up!
I forget this challenge exists and am glad to find it again, because I’m definitely trying to use up a LOT of scraps (so many boxes with scraps languishing so long that I have decided I’m going to dump everything that started the year in the boxes into the recycling next December and move on from there! So time to use or lose!) plus too many stamps that haven’t seen ink in years, and I still like many of my older ones and want to use them!
so here are my first USEITs for 2022…I mentioned what I counted for this challenge in the last paragraph of the descriptions.

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, doing some catching up as well. This is an end of January birthday card for a friend.
Items used: OLD: seam binding ribbon from stash; retired corner punch. NEW/OLD: "Celebrate" die, which I've had for over six months...opened package and used for the first time.
