Thanks Jayne! My hubby has a rare type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma and had two years of chemo/immunotherapy and seemed to be doing well until they found a small tumor in his bladder on his last CT scan.
We are praying that they found it early and it is benign :-)
Thanks for your sweet compliment (I have been told I look young for my age as does my hubby- one blessing among many ) :-)
Julie I also hope that it is benign. Going through chemo/immunotherapy is an ordeal in itself. I will keep putting out positive thoughts.
Take care and lots of hugs from Oz jx

This one comes under the category "or things that haven't seen any love for too long."
I was cleaning and came across a box that had a bunch of previously stamped backgrounds and some gold edges DSP panels that I had leftover from a 2009 Christmas card. Looking around a bit more, I came over some sentiment circles from another Christmas card - I believe from last year or 2016. I always have lots of white die-cut circles laying around, so all I needed to do was cut a new card base and start playing. I will be making a few more of these with some more of these leftovers soon.
I've made a few cards this past week taking part in th VSN challenges. Some stamp sets had never been opened so it was good to finally break the seal...and in one case, break the Stamp lol. Happy safe Easter everyone

Yep, this is about the 3rd clear stamp I've broken ever since I took up stamping  It was the fairy one. I pulled it off the sheet and placed it in my misti and thought she looks strange and only has half a body. Looked at the image and thought doh...I have a dud set...but when I looked, the other half was still on the sheet LOL. Good job you can line stamps up and it still stamped ok.
I saw a trick on Jennifer McGuire's videos once where she cuts stamps up, particularly sentiments and I did that once but stuffed that up. My middle name is clumsy
I've also had 2 CTMH stamp sets where a stamp in each set broke the first time I used them. I spoke with my demonstrator but she just rolled her eyes at me....I would have thought they would have replaced them but I still use them.
Happy Easter Sunday my friend jx

I've made a lot more cards this week. I will copy my post for them once I have completed it...with the exception of 2, all cards were created using stamp sets/dies and other stash that I've had for a while. It's been a fun challenge. Happy day

Hi Everyone! Here is a card using a stamp that I bought in November but never inked up yet (Rhododendron from Technique Tuesday) plus a verse sentiment from Verve that has not seen ink recently
Also, my hubby, Dave had his surgery on Monday. Thanks for all of your prayers, the surgery went well (although we had to go back to the ER Mon eve for 6 hours to have the catheter flushed- another story :-)) but they did give him the BCG treatment thru the cath on Tues am before removing it (to Dave's delight!)... We have a follow-up in a few weeks and will know more about what stage of cancer, etc. Thanks again for praying!!
Julie so glad to read that your hubby's surgery went well. Hoping that the next stage is good news.
Have a fabulous day everyone.

I made cards for VSN for this challenge, but didn't post here. I am in the middle of packing my craft room for our move, but had to made graduation cards for our grandsons. I used from a stash of die cut graduates that I have had over a year. F4A424 DD9ABC7G Graduate Nathan sm by smadson - at Splitcoaststampers
Julie thinking of you...how is your hubby going? Hope all good.
Have fun everyone...I'm off to create...scrap...hopefully make lots.

Happy Wednesday everyone...here's a card I made for Sharon's S2S18H challenge this week and only just managed to post. Everything used has been in my stash for a while so it was good to finally use some of it.

This card brings old and new together. The designer paper is SU! from I believe 2009 and the stamps are current and brand new from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps:
Hi Everyone! Our computer crashed this week so I am a bit behind on commenting but so thrilled to see that you are using some of your "unloved" stash!!
An update on my hubby- he has an aggressive form of bladder cancer but we believe that they caught it in a very early stage. He will have to have 6 weeks of chemo inserted thru a catheter and once that is finished, we are not sure if he will have to have another cystoscopy or not... Thanks again for praying- we are so thankful that they caught it early on his routine cat scan for his non-Hodgkins lymphoma :-)
Happy Tuesday everyone...hope you have plans for a nice day when you awake.
Today the sun is shining again....and so far a good day and better than yesterday.
Julie I wish your husband all the best with his treatment and hope that he doesn't have to endure too much pain. It is good news that they caught it early. All the very best to you both...(((hugs)))
I made 2 cards yesterday evening trying out the Black Ice Technique....one came out ok, the other not so ok but it was a fun technique to try. Everything used was out of my stash.

I made this for Sharon and her hubby....some of the stamps used have been sitting in my stash for the past year so it was good to finally break the seal.

Both of the stamps used on my card are oldies, the punch is almost ten years, the ribbons are over five years old, and the patterned paper is three years old. Nothing used in making this card is a new or recently purchased item! Here is my card: Sharing in Your Sorrow!
Julie...I've been AWOL since knee replacement March 20th! I am so sorry to hear about your husband...I do hope things are going ever so much better for both of you! I surely understand the bone-on-bone business with the knees. I had the left knee done last April 25 (2017)! It was a slow recovery as I let it go for so long (over 10 years) that my muscles had deteriorated from not being able to keep active. Much physical therapy was needed. My current knee replacement is recovering much faster as it was in somewhat better shape a year ago. The need to put such a load on it, while recovering with the left, obviously made it deteriorate to needing surgery by the end of December, which surprised my surgeon greatly...then its a long wait for an open surgery date, and March 20th was the earliest! He thought I'd have at least two years before needing the right done. It is a slow recovery and lots of therapy workouts with a professional and at home, but I'm looking forward to walking, enjoying shopping, and riding a bicycle in another two months, hopefully! :-)
I'm praying for both you and your husband and hoping you can get the help you need so you can be back to stronger and better knees!

I love the concept of this challenge! I dug out some very old designer paper and cardstock, some Stickles I've had forever and a stamp set that hadn't seen ink yet.

Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers! My hubby, Dave is doing as well as possible. He has had two treatments and had a reaction with this last treatment- an infection and rash/hives. He is now on an antibotic for the infection and is feeling better.
Charlene, thanks for sharing about your knee surgeries. I am sorry to hear that you had recent surgery but am thankful that you are healing well :-) I am concerned about my muscle deterioration in both of my legs since I have not been able to exercise for several years due to the extreme pain and grinding bones. I generally keep my legs elevated during the day to relieve the pain and swelling.
I spoke to the surgeon about doing both at the same time (I am also very overweight), he said that they could do that but it would be a 3-day hospital stay vs overnight. Also, the PT lasts longer as well.
My concern is the PT since they want to come to the house the first week and also having to go several times a week for weeks afterward. My hubby would have to take me since we do not have any family nor close friends that live close to us and I do not have enough strength in either leg to bear additional weight plus also have ankle issues....
Also, since we were originally trying to sell our weekend home, we brought all of the furniture. etc. back to our current "little" house and we barely have room to move around. We are waiting for the OK from the doctors for Dave to be able to lift any amount of weight to move some of the furniture back to the weekend home :-)
We were trying to get Dave "fixed up" first before I have surgery :-) I know that my quality of life would be better if I could have both knees replaced but also finances are an issue (since we have to pay so much out of pocket for me- Dave is old enough for Medicare but I have 5 yrs before Medicare would "kick" in) :-)
Hugs and thanks again for the insight! I will be praying for your full recovery!
Happy Tuesday everyone...spring has come back here again this week...perfect weather today.
Julie wishing you and your hubby all the best. Thank goodness we have private health cover here...it costs a lot but I don't think is as expensive as in the US and we have used it a lot the past few years. Hope you both have speedy recoveries. Take care

I'm entering my Mom's Mother's Day card. I used my Lattice Spellbinder rectangle die as a frame for my daffodils, which had not seen the Big Shot for at least two years, and I used my My Favorite Things double fishtail die that I purchase about two years ago, but had never even opened the package!
Got another card made with some brand new "old" stuff...the patterned dsp - "Tasty Treats," the "Crazy About You" stamp set, and the "Hello You" thinlit dies. So good to use never-been-used stuff gathering dust! Here is my card: Mother's Day for Grandbaby's Mom!
