Hi Everyone!! This card was designed for the May 2016 MISSION- Cards for A Cause - Rose's Fund for Animals and I used several pieces of DSP that have been retired for years (Afternoon Tea and Bella Birds- Stampin' Up!) along with some die cuts that I had cut and were in my stash for quite a while :-)
And I also bought some LOTV stamps last month, but haven't used them yet. But the good news, is they drew my name and I won a gift certificate for the amount I spent! But now have to use them. I really think if my DH would let me I could spend 24 hours a day in my craft room. I get down there and hours go by, and I don't even realize it!
I see you already saw it, Julie! Thank you for your encouragement! You are so sweet!
Sharon, love both of your cards!! I am trying not to purchase stamps as well, but they keep calling my name!! Is it an addiction or a passion.....or are they the same? I did order some new Stampin' Up! product with my demo pre-order and, of course, I add to buy the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and am finally collecting the Mini Distress Ink Sets (I have most of the stains but wanted the ink pads as well). Now to save up for all of the re-inkers- I am sure that these mini pads will dry out quicker than a larger pad.
I am with you, I could spend most of my hours in my stamping area (which I actually do since I moved most of my stamping "stuff" to the dining room and it also serves as my Bible Study area, office, etc.). ....we never used our dining room table anyway and we do not have company over at all. Hubby is in direct site in our living area (where he can watch TV), my "girls" (kitties) are with me in the "stamping studio" area and are all one happy family :-)
Looking forward to seeing your new creations with your LOTV stamps as well- hugs and know that you are not alone :-)
Here are two more cards made with the SU! EF I have never used. I haven't gotten anything from SU! since way before Christmas, so don't know how long I have had it. And even the Nativity Silhouette hasn't been used for a while, an old set. Also I used this stamp pad that I used to love to use all the time and forgot about. Enchanted evening by Encore , an ultimate metalic. I have had it since 1999, and can you believe it is still juicy! I could have embossed with it. I used to all the time.

Sharon- they are gorgeous!! Amazing that the Encore ink is still juicy and even so that you could emboss with it!! I have bought refills for all of my SU! inks as well as the Encore metallic inks (have not re-inked my metallic pads yet and now my concern now is that the refills will go bad before the ink on the pads need to be refilled- lol!)...I guess it was better to be safe than sorry....
Thanks for sharing these cards- you have inspired me to get started on my Christmas cards (I have been working on the Rose's Fund cards for the May Cards for A Cause) :-)
Here is a card for this week's Free For All Challenge along with a few others- I have not inked this image until today for this card and have owned this stamp for at least a year or more (I love the I/O Nautical scenes and I recall this one was on sale when I purchased it)
Hi Everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend and possibly finding time to create:-)
Here is a card using green seed beads from Stampin' Up! that I have owned for years and never used....plus I think this is my first official shaker card that I designed (I did create a few before from a SU! kit)- I do not recall ever doing a shaker card before this one....not too difficult just had a bit of a problem with the foam adhesive having stickiness on the sides so the beads sometimes stick to the frame (I think I will try the fun foam next time) :-)
I have been stamping like crazy this week for the May 2016 MISSION- Cards for A Cause and am trying to use stamps/paper that I have not "loved" in a while (of course, my entire collection almost qualifies :-))
Thanks again for all of your encouragement- so thankful that I am not alone in this love for our craft!! Hugs and have a blessed weekend, my friends!
A quick CAS card I made for this week and also for this week's challenge #88 over at Addicted to CAS cards. I had never used this die set from SU and have had the cardstock for at least 5 years and never opened the package. Midnight Peace by gosh2fly - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Hi Everyone!! I created this One Layer CAS Mixed Media card using two Our Daily Bread Design stamps (the sentiment from How Sweet the Sound had never been inked yet)
I used a stamp set I've had or a long, long time! The Cat's Pajamas (TCP) Field of Pinwheels saw ink for the first time! Don't know what took me so long to use it! Also, used TCP Pinwheel die and grass die for the first time....got them the same time as the stamp set! Here's what I created:
Thanks Ladies for sharing your creations with all of us- they are gorgeous!!
Here is a Mixed Media card using a new stamp but a flattened bottlecap (that I embellished with a stamped image and Crystal Effects). I have owned these bottle caps from years (from SU!) and you flatten them with the Big Shot to put on your cards- this is the first time I flattened one and used it (I thought it would be a great embellishment for the new background stamp from Artistic Outpost :-))
Wow, I've had this stamp set at least 10 or 11 years and this is probably the second time I've inked an image from it! I remember when it came out and I just had to have it!
Two Christmas cards using Welcome Christmas set and the Sleigh ride Edglets Die. I don't know if i have used either. I think I got them last year... don't know.
And a confession. I went to a local stamp and craft store yesterday and a lady who works there is a SU! demo, was selling older retired Su! sets. I bought two, and some letters and numbers. Crazy, I know! And besides that I bought a new AI set, Girlfriends Picture Perfect! Someone had sent me an image of it, and I have wanted it ever since. Shame on Sharon, shame on Sharon!
No shame Sharon!! Sounds like you found some great deals and even though we are using stamps that have not seen "love" in a while, I know that I am still adding to my collection as well....too many cute new stamps- lol!!
Yes, I can Jan! I found the MISSION- Cards for A Cause this year here at Splitcoaststampers that can use many of my cards that I have been "collecting" :-)
I have decided at this time not to sell my cards since once I start selling and making this a business, then it will be stressful for me versus relaxing :-)
I hope all of you have a great Memorial weekend! May we never forget those who have fought for our freedom....hugs and have a blessed weekend, my friends!
I just want to say, that I use all the cards I make. I have made 59 cards so far this year, not counting the Christmas cards. I have sent 70 cards out, (so I am using stash, too.)
Sometimes, I run out of sympathy and thinking of you cards. Those are what I use mostly.
Ok, here is another card using a die I have had for several months and never used: S for Sympathy
Hi again!! I created a One Layer/No Layer Vintage Collage card using some Graphic45 Stamps (the fruit image from Botanical Tea had never been inked yet)
Hi Everyone! I had a very "inky" weekend and still have several cards to post- this one uses the floral image from Butterfly Basics that had not seen ink in approx. 8 months (still a current SU! set) :-)
