Thank you Shelly, for that helpful information. As I mentioned, I am not a Catholic. My daily walking partner is, and we often have discussions about our faith, but we don't very often talk about the church, other than when she tell me she is the cantor on Sunday, or something like that.
Well, it's finally March. Spring is getting closer. It's actually above freezing today. I got off the bus this morning to watch my grandson skate at the outdoor icepad. It's sort of sad to see him struggling, but he is improving. When I turned around, I saw an adult woman was skating just like Neil. Made me feel better.

Ina, I did pm Jan for clarification. Also our keyword for all our challenges will be the same in 2022. TSBT722.
I decided that because there aren’t that many of us. Then in 2023 it will be TSBT723, and so forth.
You can give me input if you think it s/b different. But 22 is the year following SCS guidelines for keywords. If we do it different every month then it would be TSBT0222, TSBT70322, etc. but I was just keeping it simple! Same keyword all year. Input?
Whatever works is fine with me. As long as we all use the same keyword.
i had checked Jan's gallery for her card, and was confused as to whether it was the fold or the spring theme she mentioned in the card description. Either way, her card is gorgeous.

Jan, I just commented on your beautiful, "spring" card! I think it's the perfect challenge! I am so ready for spring and think a lot of others are too. Thank you for the challenge!

Okay, you have your challenge! Make it about Spring! Use keyword: TSBT722
if you want to use the big round table in the back of the bus, you will have more room.
got it...Spring card.....off to cut out more snowflakes.....still remembering the snow that came april 30 and May 1 in I think---'16 or so...and gave us 14 inches before leaving town...schools had to call snow days in May......trees were broken off so much that the city crews had to call in help from other towns.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
Looks like most people got off tge bus this weekend. Are y'all sightseeing? I took the opportunity this weekend to virtually attend a fundraiser for Ukriane. Lots of great local artists and businesses. My DD donated a beautiful framed print. She's a photographer. Mine was the winning bid! Can't wait to replace my own artwork with hers on my living room wall.

Ina, how nice you were able to donate and purchase your daughter’s print! And for such a good cause.
Jill, I am glad to hear you are doing challenges again. I will be in my craft room today after I take my DH to the eye doctor. I can’t do much walking, as I am in a boot for my tendentious. So might as well craft! LOL. I can’t drive unless I take it off. Does anyone else want to drive the bus while I wear my boot? The doctor said for 3 weeks. It is so awkward and makes other parts of my foot hurt! LOL. Can’t win, sometimes!
Well I will if we are driving in Spain , although I’m used to driving on right but I do hate your freeways where you can overtake and undertake, scares me so much.
It is SNOWING!!!! supposed to do so off and on all day..........just saying....hope the bus has mud and snow tires on.......I'm jumping off to bake some banana bread when I return from haircut.......so will fill the bus with the warm aroma......

Sharon, I am so sorry about your tendonitis. I sort of know by experience, what you are dealing with. Is it in your foot, or around or above your ankle? I didn't get a boot. I got fitted for orthotics, and it took weeks to get them made, and then a few more weeks to tweek the fit. I wear them every day.
I can drive the bus in a snow storm. I had practise just over a week ago. Drove through white out conditions for about 25 miles. At one point, I totally stopped the car because I had no idea which side of the road I was on. Thankfully, the 5 cars behind me did not get impatient.
Don't be discouraged ladies. Spring is on the way!

Ins we will trust you to drive in the snow, sounds horrendous, it was always my dread driving to work in the snow as it was up hill all the way, only a couple of miles , trying not to skid coming home downhill,
Sharon ..so sorry to hear about your tendonitis. Hope you quicken than they expect you to...
Ina, I can't imagine driving in thos conditions. I hate to drive... I'm a big chicken behind the wheel...I was quite fortunate in my last job...I only lived one mile from my job. On snowy days soemtimes I walked to work instead instead of driving in the snow.
I can't believe what I did tonight while making a card for the Christmas challenge. I was mostly done with the cadr and went to glue the final pieces when I realize that I had the card so it would open from the left side and not the right side. It's not the first time that I have done that...but after all the cards that I have made... You would think I wouldn't do something that stupid anymore.. My husband was sitting in the room with me while I was making my card, and he watched it fly across the room.

Hi ladies,
I did hope off the bus for the weekend. I had a baby shower Saturday for a young man that I have known for many years and his wife, and has not had an easy time getting pregnant. He is 36 or 37.
After that, I went to a cooking class with DD1, hubby hung out at home with her dog : )
Sunday, I woke up sick and spent a good deal of the day in bed. My stomach- I was thinking if was food allergies, but lingered another day, so must have a touch of a stomach bug. I did get a couple of loads of bed sheets washed, and also scanned in family pictures of my dad's and sent out a link to siblings. In addition to Dad's pics, I had a few pictures from a couple of his sisters (our Aunts) so a few new ones for all to see.
Today, I was able to Zoom and create cards. I really enjoy these days! Thanks Ina for driving the bus!
Sharon- speedy healing and I hope the pain is decreasing in your foot with rest.
Pansy- I would think May is late for snow for you- guess I should look at where you live on a map!
Jill, I've accidentally made a card or two that open from the left instead of the right. I remember one was a Christmas card, too. But I just laughed and mailed it to a card maker friend because I knew she would get a giggle out of it!
One of the other ones I just cut the front off and glued it to another base. No one was the wiser.
If that happens on the bus, I bet we can all share our oops moments!
I’ve done that a few times, put an image or layer on the wrong way round, I also just cut the front off and glued it to another base.
just had a shock, we asked for a quote for our annual travel insurance, £1265 , that does include covid cover and my husbands heart problems but before covid it was£800.
well we either pay the price or we don’t travel to SF to see the family, I say pay who knows what will happen, we haven’t been for nearly three years because of covid.

Yep--very late but it happens....the snow yesterday melted by 2 pm but now the weather guessers are calling for 3 inches starting late tonight and into tomorrow. Good day to stay home and craft I think....though I will spend part of the day planning menus for next week. It will be spring break for my school boys and they will spend the days with me. So that means food-----and snacks. When they come for days in a row I try to plan food activities that they can prepare. I firmly believe in all children learning to plan and cook for themselves and at 9 and 6+ they are old enough to do lots of things.....then add in the fact that one is hard to feed as he won't try new foods and doesn't eat beef unless it is cooked in the smoker(Idon't have one). He won't eat hambuger in any form and I am surprised he doesn't have feathers because chicken is his "eat out" food.

Jan, and Teri...sorry that happened to you too. But I was glad to hear that I'm not the only one that does these kind of things...smile
I did what you both said...Just cut off the front and put it on another base.
I used to have a card group come to my house once and week... (I so miss it) Covid ruined that. The one lady that came wanted to make a birthday card for my hubby , and she did the same thing...she just wrote something funny inside the card...and gave it to him that way.
He loved the card.

Ina , it is on the right bottom side of my right foot between the heel and middle . .I was surprised it was a tendon issue, I thought the bunion on big toe was causing it. She said no, 2 separate issues. My left foot is feeling bad now , I think because of hobbling along in boot. I think today I am giving it all a rest! No boot, no walking, just rest. Thanks for driving, Ina.
First of all, the bus driver had an oops today too. Good thing it was during crafting time, not driving time. Making two cards for the teapot challenge of yesterday. I already had the floral paper adhered to the card, then coloured the bird image........total different shade of blue from the flowers. I went with it anyway. But I daresay that the recipient won't notice.
Sorry Jan, that the insurance went up. But I agree, pay up and go see those grandsons. After all, think of the money you saved by not going the last few years. There were 3 trips I did not take........1 to the Netherlands, and 2 to Texas. So the money I saved, I have been spending on a night in a hotel, every time I visit my daughters family. That way, I don't have to drive home in the dark in the winter.

Ina we were lucky we got the money back for the flights, we have saved a fortune, flights are expensive and we drive to England first and that’s another thousand but as steve says, it’s only money, haha, we are going just waiting to see what’s happening before we book, lots of things their end are up in the air at the moment.
sad you missed your visits too, mind you at least many of the restrictions in Europe are ending so traveling will be easy when you decide to come over to our part of the world.
I meant to say I had to read the travel insurance policy , all 38 pages of it, mind you after we had to claim when Steve had his bypass in SF I know the importance of it!
Well, the weather guessers were correct...Started snowing again around 7 last night and is still lightly snowing as I type. About 3-4 inches on my yard and driveway. Supposed to stop for a few hours and start up again tonight. At least the wind is low speed so in town at least it isn't blowing...Out on the farmland could be a different story.
Sharon,,,ouch on the tendonitis.....when feet hurt the entire body seems to hurt...take care of yourself.
Jan31--curious as to where you live that you can drive to England.....sounds like fun maybe---I'd probably be a dozen accidents due to not understanding the road rules and the different signs... I drove myself to Wyoming several times in the past 10 years for photography workshops. And I drove myself and a then 12 year old grandson on a vacation to South Dakota where it was the height of tourist season and finding motels was not easy......We were gone a week and a bit --he wants me to take him again but I told him he has to earn his driver's license first so he can help with the driving.
Have a sick one here with me today so we are taking it easy....
