I suddenly had the idea to use this card for my son's 50th Birthday card, it's not until July but I was on a roll. the Jolees stickers I've had for about ten years, he's a big American Football fan and has supported the Washington Redskins since he was about 7 years old, I changed the number on the shirt to 50, I know they aren't the true colours of their strip but never mind!! oh sorry I know they have changed their name too!!
Yay, Jan! That will make a great card for a 50th. It will set up great for display, too.
I have to be gone for awhile today. Haircut, post office, etc. maybe while we are parked, some of you have to do some shopping at this shopping center?. They may even have a craft shop or a coffee shop for Rebekah. Enjoy. Get to know each other while I am gone.
Jan, that is a great idea for a card that will be hand delivered. Might be difficult to mail, unless you mail it as a parcel. I'm all for checking out the shops. I'm looking for a royal blue cardigan, and perhaps a new sundress and bathing suit. We are going to the beach, aren't we?

Are we all aboard? I think probably Gracie got off while we were stopped. She has a plane to catch to Maui. So here we go……are you leaning back in those comfy chairs and relaxing?
So, my hair is cut, my nails done, and I also went to .Aldies for my peppermint tea, and dollar tree for some double sided tape, rhinestones, butterflies die cuts and other items. Oh, and it is 1.25 now, not a dollar! Also hit the post office twice. Mailed packages, then when I came home addressed valentines for grandkids (at college) and went back and mailed those.
Sharon, You had a very busy day...I mainly did housework. I hoped to get some crafting done...but it didn't happen. Hopefully it will tomorrow. Yesterday, I got to go to my second favorite shopping store...Going to a bookstore (used book store) I have two addictions. Crafting and book reading..

We had the cable man here pulling cables under the road and onto the box in the villa for most of the day, after finishing my card I pottered in the garden, sorting out the strawberry patch, we didn’t get to go on our Wednesday lunch date so we are going today, lunch on the seafront .
I am thinking both Jayne and Gracie got off the bus when we stopped. They both will be gone for awhile.
Jan and Jill, it sounds like you were busy, too. Jan , hope you had a great lunch date. Jill, I like to read, too. I read on Libby e-books from our library. Love that, because the minute I finish one , I can get another! Even late at night or whatever! Nothing ever past due that way either, it just takes it off when due. But usually I am done and return early. I can get the audio ones, too.
kind of quiet on our bus. Maybe people are napping, I will just quietly drive, while you nap….
Sharon yep I’m off the bus for a few days. Playing golf today. I’ll catch you all in a few days. There’s a lovely breeze here at present and I’m enjoying it whilst I can. Have fun.

I’m back Sharon,
we had a lovely lunch, we walk along the seafront and around the marina before lunch, it was really busy, always surprises us as we go out early normally when there’s no on around.
I had pork tenderloin with salad and fries, steve had rib in BBQ sauce, we had a drink and then Alvaro bought out Colombian patties for us to try, he had been telling us about them the other morning, I’m not sure what the filling was as you could taste potato and I’m guessing some kind of fish as they came with tartare sauce and a hot chilli sauce, they were kind of like a fried tortilla, I didn’t try the hot sauce because steve did and he said it was super hot, our meal was so tasty the pork was so tender, I couldn’t finish the fries their was so much food..
we came home the scenic way as I call it along the coast road and then we had a cup of tea and spent the rest of the afternoon reading.
OK, I think I need a tutorial for dummies....I have made 3 of the cards as described in the tutorial but can't seem to get them to be FLAT. Is there a secret trick to doing the little flap and keeping everything flat?

Pansy, Did you watch the video, I couldn’t understand a thing just reading the instructions then I watched the video and it made sense, I kept stopping it at each step though !
Pansy, Yes, I had to watch step by step several times! Mine does fold flat for mailing. And, it was difficult for me, because I am flat out fun fold challenged! One time, Ina had to send me a sample of a fold so I could figure it out! Remember, Ina?
Jan , your day sounds wonderful. I guess you are having nicer weather in Spain than we are having over here for the most part!
another Friday! Where do the days go so quickly? CarrollAnn, will you hav your little one all week-end?
Hi Shelly! Welcome! I signed you up for September as June was taken.
has anyone checked out todays Mix-ability challenge today? It is to case a card from our own gallery in 2012. Fun!
Well--it took two more tries but I did it....I now have two flat folding cards ...just need to decorate and photograph and then will post.....that happens later tonight after my sick grandson is picked up by his parents. He ran a temp yesterday and so couldn't go to school and he has to be fever free for 24 hours to go back...His didn't break until after midnight last night so he had another day with grandma.....

A lot of chatter! Heartsong Jan, I had noticed that, too. I like Ina’s idea, calling the one from Spain, Senora Jan. and you Heartsong Jan.
Pansy, I am glad you had success. I found out I have to watch the videos, for this challenge and when I tried to do the Split circles this week for the technique challenge. I did it wrong three times before watching the video and still had a tough time! LOL.
Good morning! Sunny and cold here. 17 degrees. I want to craft today, it need to clean and neaten up my craft room first. I can’t craft in a mess and every time I craft I make another mess!
I have a scrapbook live zoom to attend at 11:00. Alice Boll. She scraps and does a giveaway.
Maybe that will make me craft today!
I am wearing my winter coat as I get on the bus this morning. At 2 a.m., when I awoke it was 32°, but now, at noon it is 16°F, and still dropping. We had quite a bit of snow, as it came down all day yesterday. But my neighbours' 16 year old grandson blew it off the driveway before I got out to measure it. I had a sleep in, as I was awake a few hours during the night, and we had not made plans to walk.

Hi ladies, I’m back and I’ve brought some heat with me. It’s been 37 degrees Celsius today and will be 38 and possibly 40 by the weekend. We had better crank the aircon up. CarrollAnn every time my son went to stay with his dad and stepmom I felt lost but knew it had to be done. Unfortunately his dad didn’t always show so he didn’t go that often for a few years. Hugs.
Sharon, I may not get to my card use yet. Do we get fined if we are late and don’t get it done in the month it’s posted? I would hate to have to pay extra for being late. Can I request a late pass please?
Did the driver turn up yet?

Welcome back on the bus, Jayne! Oh, Jayne, we don’t need that much heat! I just converted to Fahrenheit! 38/100! It is going to be 60s for a few days here, then back cooler. But for a few days I can get out and walk! The pond across the street from us is still iced over from our cold and snow the last week or so!
CarrollAnn, I hope you had fun watching the game and that your team won. We watched but weren’t really for anyone. At least it wasn’t one sided this year. I really was reading while it was on, but kept track of everything. We don’t watch halftime, though. We turned it back after that. We also watched golf, and it went into a playoff, so we were going back and forth for awhile between the two. LOL
We have a great Twisted Sister gallery so far. I was going to mention that I plan on same keyword for all of 2022. Then we will have a different one for 2023. Does that sound ok?
Jayne, to answer questions: surprise, I am the bus driver! LOL
and no late fee for doing challenge late.
Oh, guess what! The technique challenge for this week is a Twisted fold; sounds like a challenge for this group, doesn’t it?
Have a great Monday!
Hey, Sharon, my team won! Yay! When I was much younger, my first exposure to football was going to a Rams game at the Los Angeles Collosseum. The Rams were originally a Los Angeles team. Anyway, we ate burritos and chips and dips. It was good but I sure miss my son!

How old is your son Carol Ann?
It's been quite awhile, but I do remember the back and forth between parents, when my kids were young (age 8, 11, and 13). Luckily, we lived only a few miles apart. I worked every other weekend, and sometimes more, so I always got them on my weekends off. Once my son turned 16, he lived with his dad most of the time, as he could walk into town from there, and did not have much suprvision. By the time he was 17, he moved into the city, and before he turned 20 he was in Texas, where he remains to this day. I have not seen him since Aug. 2019. Hevwill be driving up to Canada this May. I am so looking forward to that. BTW, he is 48 now. The girls live closer, so I see them regularly, with 5 kids under 10 between them. Lots of grandma fun.

Talking weather. We did our 1/2 hour prayer walk at 7:30 this morning, in temps of -9°F, with a windchill of -18°. It was a 5 layers of clothing morning. Tomorrow it will start inching up a bit warmer.
I saw that twisted card challenge this morning Sharon. Maybe I will try it this week.
I don't know a thing about football. For me, it is hockey in winter and baseball in the summer. Never played either one, but I am a good spectator.

My ex and I adopted 3 out of foster care in California years ago. He is the youngest. He's 27 now but has some mental health issues due to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. He did graduate from high school in 2013. He helped me with foster care but didn't work elsewhere for sone time. He's been with me and that's it. He has some anger issues which got to be too much for me. I'm retired now. He is 27 and should be on disability but was declined. I love him to pieces and hope his dad can help him. His step mom is nice and wants to try to help too. It's so far away from Nevada to Georgia and a 3 hour time difference. It's hard letting go. I hope you will get to see your son.

CarrollAnn, I bet it was nice to have him with you despite the issues. I know you must miss him a lot. Will be be praying for there to be some resolution, and especially that he will be able to return and be with you, again. Three hour time difference! I can’t even keep the one hour difference between here and our DD in Georgia.
It is good we are getting to know each other on this bus. Did I tell you all Happy Valentines Day? My DH proposed on Valentine’s Day, so we do celebrate! I made him a card and we are going to a special Valentine’s Day dinner tonight.
