Stalker Challenge STEE03...on a new day! (11/6/07)
Okay, I decided to try the Every Day Event challenge on a Tuesday. Hope you guys see this!
On Sunday morning, before church, a friend of mine sent her son to my house with a TON of stamping supplies...just oodles of stamps, papers, punches, brass stencils, templates.... Talk about a windfall!! I don't stamp on the weekends and I certainly don't have time to stamp a card before church if I want to get there on time! hehe. But I did have a lovely thank you card in my stash. So I could give it to her as I thanked her profusely when I saw her an hour or so later!
Your challenge is to design a thank you card so that you have one on hand for when ever the occasion comes up! And since it is November, most of us are thinking of our blessings already. So if you want to make 2 and send out one now to someone you care about...all the better!
Can anyone play? I have been waiting and waiting ever so patiently for the color challenge to come up, and found this thread. I don't have a stalker title, but would like to play......please......please......pretty please.

Anyone can play. All we ask is that you remember to put STEE03 in the keywords and comment on the other cards. Welcome aboard!
Am so glad I was wondering about and found this challenge.....need to do Faith's color challenge from yesterday too......thanks for posting these additional challenges....don't always have time, but nice to know that they are here if time allows........love making thank you cards ahead.....will gladly do so as soon as I make it to the workshop....thanks Dawn and whoever decided to develop these additional challenges......

Great challenge Dawn. Will see what I can do. We are in our third week of a teachers strike and I haven't had much time to stamp. DS just asked "Mom, what are we going to do today?" Innocent enough I know, but darn it all, I want to stamp!!!!!!!!!
I was chatting with KellyH last night about doing cracked glass with the Provencal set.......I just love how it came out. And I'm embarassed to admit that I don't think this stamp had ever seen ink.
I loved imastampin's offering for this challenge and in my comments to her I mentioned a new technique I had learned. I have no time today but decided I would literallyl throw together a card in hopes you could see this technique.
This uses a brass template. You use light colors first and then place a piece of window screen (at least that's what I used..you can pay more and get some other thing that looks the same, works the same) between the template and your card. Then with a stiff brush, brush on a darker shade of color with chalk ink. Brush from the template off onto the card so you don't get a glob of color on the card. Carefully life the template and remove the screen and it looks like you have created a piece of Aida cloth used for counted cross stitching.
I only had a spring template so I guess this doesn't exactly match the season but my heart was in it...just not my clock.
as I was uploading today's sketch challenge card, I realized that it works for the EE challenge too! So it's been edited, don't know how long until it shows...but here is my sketchy color case. I was thrown for a loop with the *new* day, so by the time I found out about this challenge, I was unable to stamp!

Oh Dawn, I'm embarassed to say I've only just found this challenge!!!! But what a beauty!!! I have been meaning to make a few thank you cards that I can post to my Hostesses a few days after their workshop to confirm their closing sales etc - as I haven't had my first workshop yet, I haven't needed any, but with my 1st one coming up in less than two weeks, this challenge has come along at a very opportune time!!! Fantastic!!!!
