My son let me borrow a double electric blanket so my bedroom being 62f was OK. In the living room with 2 layers of thermal clothing and looking for my scarf! Last night it felt like the walls were push8ng in with the winds at 80 kph. It is probably worst with how high I am and no barriers. The neighbor in 1003 will be hot! Why cause all the heat from my place will push to hers. That is the way in tall buildings.
Merry Xmas. Have a good one. We had a wonderful day.

I was a good day, even though my place is still cold. This 2as a trial run meal. We are trying to figure out what works for us. I got a stuffed turkey breast Loaf. Took over 3 hours to cook because of the stuffing in the middle, I think. It turned out good. It would have been better if I had the right broth but that is OK. I got a gravy mix packet and all the herbs I put on the Loaf really helped the gravy have a good flavor. Did mashed potatoes, forgot to add the garlic to it. Grumpy completely forgot to make salad but that was OK too! I was not able to find a good dark fruitcake so grumpy bought a panettone I think it is called. Then I made notes to put in my planner for next year. Oh I got an 8 pack of Roger's chocolates, from Vancouver. To go with it. He got me all caught up with the socializing he has been doing. He left around 7pm to look for boxing day sales on camping equipment. All is right in our world.
Hope everyone is staying warm, eating good food and enjoying the company of others!
Yup my place is still cold. In the hall they are blowing cold air and the barrier I bought for the bottom of the door is working well. My son and I are gonna make me a headboard. My bed is against an external north wall. This mixed foam mattress gets hard in the cold, not like the traditional mattress at all. Everyone is doing well in all his visiting.. I guess he is up to 10 now. Today he will be with the boys, it is a day off work.
Me I am gonna put on my layers and think of what I can cook in my oven to heat the place up! Lol
I have been mulling over an idea. How would you ladies feel about amalgamating two challenge threads? The twisted sisters bus tour was started up again this year, led by our Sharon. It started strong, but participation has decreased, as it also has on this thread. Are you interested in joining them? After all, I don't think any of us are tallying our spending and ourcard production any more
are we? There would be one challenge per month. Your thoughts, ladies?

What is twisted sisters? I think I've seen it somewhere but wasn't sure what it was or if it was open to new participants. Kind of like the moooovers and shakers. The name puzzles me and I could never find out what it was about. I'm willing to move. I'm kind of twisted.....🤪

Kathy, here is a link to the TSBT thread. Twisted Sisters Bus Tour #7 (Helmets required) New one by smadson at Splitcoaststampers
That is, twisted sisters bus tour. Anyone is welcome to join them, and I, for one, am twisted enough. Jan, Jayne, Sharon and I are already there. We've had some cool challenges this past year. It would mean stopping the S2S thread, which I feel sort of bad about, because it's been going quite awhile and I was not the one who started it. Kelly headed this up before me, but I don't even think she started it.

No! If we are roomies there will never be any chocolate to find! Lol
So do I just join the other thread?
that's what I did...I just posted there so now it comes up in my subscriptions.
Yeah, about the chocolate! LOL. I would share if you catch me before it's gone, but don't wait too long. You know, I looked on Walmart online to see if they could have any cherry cordial kisses. The only ones I found on there were $28 a bag!!!! I love them, but not that much! And I sent a message to Hershey to see if they consider making them all year round! I doubt I'll hear back but it was worth a try!

Yup can't get them here! I got an 8 pack of chocolates for grumpy and I. We shared them equally so I wouldn't devour them in one sitting. Oh I also had him hide them at his place.
My place smells like my version of chili. I make everything and take what I want. Then I add kidney beans and more chili flakes for grumpy. He stopped by after work and was falling asleep in his bowl! So he is off home with the remainder of the chili. Oh he was good enough to figure out where the courier left my parcel this time.
OK off to find the 9ther thread. I will continue to post here till new year.
Lynn, I've seen some positive welcoming posts on the twisted sisters thread. So come on over and say hello to everyone. The bad girls generally gravitate towards the back of the bus. I spend a lot of time there.
Kathy, if you have cherry cordial kisses, you will be wise to sit beside me, as I really, really do NOT like them.

Woo-hoo. Grumpy found me a good price on a new TV. Why do I need a new TV? I can't read any of the writing on the TV anymore. Of course the TV is too far away for me to wear my glasses. I always use subtitles on the TV because sometimes I can't hear or understand what they say. I think the one I have now is a 32 inch.
New year will be quiet for me. I have been setting up my planner for next year. I have been creating stickers to remind me to do self care. I am weaning myself off of prevacid but the heartburn has been an issue. It seems that being on an acid killer for so long means my body isn't producing the acid i need any more. I hope i can get this resovled soon!

Woo-hoo my new TV is here.. from 34 inch to 50! It is all setup and ready to go. I do lose the ability to use my DVD player. That is OK. The hat rack for grumpy just arrived so he is off home to do that.
Oh guess what! It is 10 c outside right now??
