You know, Lynn, grumpy doesn't look so grumpy! LOL
Ooooo fed ex just dropped off two packages from walmart. That's the only online shopping I do because I can use a gift card, so I just reload my gift card when I need to. I had my card hacked one time but I had never used it online. You should see the box they sent me that has a calendar in it. The box is huge for just a flat calendar!
Grumpy is mad at me! We were talking about me cleaning up but i have been yuck for a long time. Today was a pleasant day so..yup. i had a cart in my dining room with stuff. I asked my son if his friends want it but he does. Lol so since the garbage truck woke me up, i know the bins are empty. Got rid of 2 small appliances that barely work and cleaned off the cart. I texted grumpy that the cart was ready to pick up and he was completely confused. Oops it's Friday and he is out and about. Then he was mad i didn't wait. Then again i have been waiting 2 yearx for him to take down the drapes in my bedroom. What is a mom to do?
Oh thank you for the reminder Kathy. I need to look for calendars

The Dollar Tree store has 2 year planners, finally! I'm nearing the end of my last 2 year planners so I needed one for appointments for next year. Picked one up two days ago. I need to calendars, but I wait for Walmart to put their new ones out. I Like the ones with the wires and big blocks to write appointments on.
I do one year. But I also put my appointments and stuff on there. I tell everyone that if it isn't in my planner then I don't know it exists. I have a regular calendar in my kitchen and one beside my recliner. Though I still never know what day it is!!!

I put all the appointments, flights, travel on my iPhone calendar with a reminder, Steve has blood tests every five weeks and meds every four so they all go on , Steve does the same so we don’t forget! We never know what day of the week it is either Lynn!
Same here..no idea what the date or day is sometimes. If I didn’t change the calendar in the study I wouldn’t have a clue. If DH asks, I just look at my phone lol. I don’t use wall calendars or paper ones. When I worked I used a Filofax and had to do lists, reminders and all sorts of handwritten notes. Now I have everything on my phone…addresses, birthdays, appointments and keep important things such as a list of what meds I take in notes. It comes in handy when changing dentists and they ask. Before I used to guess…now I have the dosage and correct name. I feel a lot more organised but if the cloud stops working I’m stuffed lol.
Today didn’t go to plan but I did achieve one thing..sorting my cards and cardstock. I now feel I need a lie down lol. There’s always later or tomorrow to do what I wanted to do today I guess.
Happy weekend everyone.

I've been sitting for the past half hour. My back and legs hurt so bad from walking up and down the backyard. We had a group of family members here to help put a tent shed together for my mom. It is 12x20 and we couldn't do it on our own. So I made lunch for everyone and took it up to the picnic pavilion. But all that walking has worn me out.
Kathy, I hope you back and legs are feeling better. I'll bet it feels good to have that tent shed up, and ready fo r storing items. Your mom will appreciate it so much.
Waving 'hello' to everyone else. Hope your week starts out well. It's a gorgeous day here. Sunny and 25° or 77°F.

Got my mammogram results in the mail today. They were normal! I will probably get my dexascan results tomorrow at appt. I don't expect them to be so good, but hoping so.
Chuckle, chuckle. Of course! Here in Canada, we call it a bone mineral density test. Perhaps there is another name, but I don't know it. I had one a couple of years ago.

Kathy, good luck for the bone density test. And great news the mammogram came back good.
I go every two years for the bone density and every year for mammogram. I think this year will be the year for the bone one. They said I had Osteopenia, then last time, osteoporosis. They wanted to put me on something, but I just said I would take more calcium. I keep walking; hope that helps, too. Sat, yesterday and today I walked four miles each day. But I have not been doing it for about a month because of the heat. I hope it will start getting cooler, now. 90s today instead of 100s.
She told me today that my bone density actually improved in my left hip. It was considered osteoporosis but now dropped to osteopenia. However the lower lumbar is still having osteoporosis levels. I take vitamin d3 everyday. I take 2000 IU and then another 800 in my calcium pill. I was D deficient so doc gave me a prescription for 50,000 IU once and then dropped me to 2000. Yes, sharon, exercise can help. She gave me some print outs of exercises for the hip and back.
I’m late but I finally made something that works for the March challenge too. Here it is.
Happy day everyone

Oh right! Thank you. I need to check. They want me to check for cervical cancer yet I don't have a cervix. I do need to book my mammogram. I have a phone call with the gut doc beginning of Sept.
I went to my LSS and bought some MOJO. Yup two online classes. I asked to order a .. skip in my step... but I don't think she had a product code for it.

So grumpy goes back woods camping on the 28th. I keep reminding him to get things done. Me I completely forgot to move my car for the power washing! I did get calendars for next year so thank you. Yup totally and completely forgot everything! Changed meds so I will switch back to days over the next 5 days.
Bighuge hugs

Yup worried about cat. She is throwing up again. I thought I had figured it out. She gets wet food mixed with no salt bone broth plus there is some dry food and plenty of water. She seemed to be doing so much better though she is skinny. We have been reading together every day and she seems to enjoy it. What a change in her personality, she is quite affectionate now. I don't know what to do.
I am baking again. Yes it is summer so hot but less than 30c so I am baking at night. Made banana bread last night.. yup I am soooo weird
Happy Monday and week everyone. The sun is out but it’s cool today..indoors lol. I think it’s going to be 21 today. No rain…yay. I’ve been creating and having fun. Quick make in my Art Journal. Got a few jobs to do and heading out so will say bye for now and have fun everyone. Keep well.

See how it is in the middle of no where! That is what they like. The site will have a fire pit and not much else. They will be gone for a week. Grumpy managed to MacGyver a dry sac to fit my digital slr camera. I can't wait to see the pics!
Oh I have a new neighbor! #1003. She is 72 and a crafter!

I think it is great when kids can get out. I know when I was a boy scout leader, some of the kids were rarely out of the city. I found it funny when we had a power outage and the twins had no clue what to do. The dad's cell phone ran out of power. So I loaned him my spare power bank. Explained to put the candles in the sink lit. They are much better with it now.
The sun is shining and 23 today. It’s so lovely to sit out in the sunshine. We are going nursery shopping and finally getting to the garden project. The plants need to be in within the next two weeks.
Kathy won a DTGD prize…congratulations and enjoy shopping.

Grumpy is on the hunt. He was here for 10 minutes last night for 14 oz of oatmeal! Now he has decided that he will fish and needs a container for his fishing lures. I don't understand it. This year is very different. Usually he has all this figured out over 2 weeks ago. He doesn't have a filter for his water system.
Congratulations on your win Kathy.
Lynn, Grumpy will be fine. He'll get it all together before he leaves. Does he have inexperienced campers with him this time? Hope the mosquitoes are not bad. They are around here.
Wow! We just had a downpour here. I was in town to sing at the nursing home and I sat in the car for more than 10 minutes because the wind and rain were so bad. I am thankful for the rain though.

Cornflakes, white bread, chicken in soy sauce…yum. I shall tell myself this for the next two days and enjoy it all and will appreciate it once Sunday comes around and I can’t eat a thing lol. Guess where I’m going on Monday. Celebrating my boy’s birthday a different way lol.

To anwer your questions Sharon. The hymn sing in the residential part of the nursing home is my sister-in-law's ministry, that she does every Thursday. I fill in for her, when she is unable to do it, like for her 4 joint replacement surgeries, and this week she is at a cottage. I do not sing well and I am often not in the right key. But scripture does say, "Make a joyful noise". I was in a church choir a couple of times for Christmas performances. Mostly, I am an alto, but only as long as I am close to a strong alto. About 8 to 12 people come to the hymn sings, mostly women, with 2 regular attending men. There were only 8 yesterday. The nursing home section is in Covid lock down right now. Every time we go in, we get a rapid Covid test. Always negative.

So grumpy will be by the campfire by now. They left at 7am and were having breakfast in north bay by 10.30. They made great time. I will hear from him next Saturday night. He is up there with hunter.
Ina, can you kayak on ontario lakes? Grumpy wants to go out more but it is harder to canoe with just one person. I know there are times he is out there on the lakes and the winds can make the waves higher than the canoe. Am I making any sense?
