So we all got an alert to our phones to stay home! Hey I have been doing that for a year. Yesterday I went down to do laundry and a couple , in their 20s, were just ready to party with no masks on. I felt like punching them. No wonder Ontario is having 3000 cases per day! So because of idiots like that we are in lockdown.
Lynn, thanks for sharing Blessing Island with us! You "paint" such a beautiful picture of our island! It makes me want to stop whatever I'm doing and dream of being there. Hugs!
Jan, I'm so sorry to hear that you're in lockdown again. I sure wonder when we'll ever get back to normal. That's it...I'm heading to Blessing Island.

We walked around the corner to take the trash and our neighbours have visitors which isn’t allowed and the bar was busy with people sat close together, we thought the bars were closed! Really annoys me when don’t do what they are told,
I am ignoring what is going on and heading back to Blessing Island.
Today I am going to the lagoon. It is a peaceful place with shade from trees on one side and areas to lay out on the other side. The water is calm and warm. Perfect for just laying on my back and drifting. Grumpy and his dog are gone exploring. I am just listening to nature. I think we can do lunch in a nice sunny spot. Oh... Here comes grumpy and his dog! Yup a bunch of birds just took flight. They are just so colorful as they fly off. Oh no! Dog just jumped in and is coming to check on me. I guess it is play time! Lol
Lynn, I got the alert this morning as I was riding in my neighbours's car to go home from being in town. We don't live together Am I a bad girl? We both wore masks. I was in the back set of a big buick, and she had picked me up from the garage where my car was being serviced.

No you are not a bad girl! If I am in the same car as grumpy I am in the back seat with my mask on. We still need to eat. Grumpy and I went to do a curbside order. Grumpy needed a new kettle. I needed to replace things that were broken.
Stupid people go to Starbucks without a mask then all stand in a close circle talking. Next door had a party of about 8 people with a ton of pot being smoked. These are the ones that spread the virus.
Sorry you are back in lockdown Lynn and Jan. It’s all depressing. I wish it would all just go pffttt...I’m going back to my island.
I hope they can get the site sorted. Last night when I tried to post and kept being thrown out I was glad that I had reduced my on screen time. Small things.
I did receive some happy mail when we returned home yesterday.
ina, your card is beautiful. Thank you.
I’m going back to my little world now...bye.
Keep safe and well everyone. Hugs

I just don't understand. All cell phones received the stay at home order. We knew it was coming. People were panic buying again. SO why was the hiway just as busy as last week? Sorry this was for the province of Ontario. The province of Quebec has a curfew. Why can't people get it???
Thanks Lynn. Today so far I left home at 10am and finally sat down just now.......6.5 hrs later. Nothing has been easy to do today. My credit card has been hacked from somewhere in the States and we’ve just had an internet scammer person phone and claim they are our internet service provider and they need access to our pc..yep right..even though they couldn’t assure us who they were. What is happening today. It’s enough to make me pour a G&t and I’m not drinking at present.

That's one of the reasons I don't shop online. With my anxiety issues, I'd panic if I got hacked. I've only been hacked once and the bank caught it immediately and it never went through, but I had to change out my bank card.
I am on the island of Blessing, enjoying the sound of the waves, warmed by the campfire, managed by grumpy, I think. Dog is letting me pet him. What kind of dog is it?
Yes grumpy enjoys being the fire master! I am only allowed to sit and observe, long story behind that one. I will go find a picture of Joe the feral dog we had. On an island I can only think of Joe at my son's side. Kerra was a lovely corgi but an island would be far too hot and she didn't like water. We used to give her tummy a shave every summer to help keep her cool.
Joe was a dog found wandering the countryside. We got him as a rescue. The body was a small german shepherd, one ear up-ish one flopped over, long curly tail that could knock anything off a low table. there is a picture of how my son and his dog used to sleep.
So Kerra was my dog and my choice. I got her after I stopped work and went on disability. Joe was my son's dog. We searched rescue sites and found JoJo. We all went out to the country to see the dog. My son took the dog for a long walk. When he got back he wanted to think things over. So I told Kerra up and both dogs jumped into the car! Lol my son thought for about 2 weeks before he decided. Jojo was named Joe after something grandpa Bob used to say. They would go for walks, bike rides, skateboarding and hikes. Joe used to jump into ponds trying to catch something to eat. Oh Joe would come home stinking and hated having been washed. Joe would do anything for me for a belly rub. Very smart and easy to train.
I need something else to watch! Uuggh nothing on TV. I am using my son's Prime account and have resorted to movies in other languages just so I can have something different. Uuggh this stay at home order is for 28 days.
I have every season of The Walking Dead on DVD and just finished a third or fourth round! I'm starting back to season 1 later tonight. I think my favorite seasons are the first two because it was more about the virus and what it did. After that the living became more of a threat than the dead.. As I watch them over and over, I catch stuff I missed before. And I tend to fast forward through some stuff. I have my favorite episodes.
I am kicking cat off the island! Yup I am tired of stepping in cat puke! Is no place sacred!?!?!
I am opting for Mosiac. She was the cat I had in Vancouver. A rescue cat, a torti with 5 gold necklaces. Great indoor or outdoor cat. She ate the grubs we had in the grass! Lol. She was cuddly one all right. I had her indoors but the contractor's were putting up new siding and as soon as they opened the door she was gone.
Yup once grumpy and I buy something we will get a family dog. Must be a rescue. No bigger than a small mid-size. Grumpy will do the long walks in the park. I will do doggie daycare and training. I used to do walks in the woods with Joe. I had him trained to help me go up the steep slopes or slow me going down.
Lynn do you have Netflix as there’s some great shows on there?
I hope we do get a cat too as I like cats and can we have a small dog that I can cuddle lol..one that doesn’t yap all night lol. I hope Kathy brings caramel and nut choccies too. I’ll bring board games. I think we need girly stuff too so we can have pampering sessions..facials and nails although no one is touching my feet lol.

I'll bring graham crackers, Hershey chocolate bars and marshmallows for Smores! Grumpy and I may fight over playing in the fire! LOL
Kathy I have a new love: Hershey's Lava dark chocolate kisses! YUM! We'll have to have a grove of chocolate kiss trees!
Right now, I'm lying on the beach on Blessing Island in the warm sun, listening to the waves gently caress the shore...oh no, here come Jenny and Sadie splashing in the ocean and then coming over by me and shaking water off their fur! Crazy dogs!

Kathy, I think we are all bringing chocolate. I will bring marshmallows.
Wow, I had a lot of catcjphing up to do. Off for one day and everyone is chattering. I have been busy making a birthday card that was commissioned by my neighbour. She wanted sewing included and a dog, so I decided on a bridge card, but when I made an A2 card, I decided it was too small, so I started overwith a 5 x 7. I am almost finishe and I have spent 7 hours on it so far.
It is an absolutely beautiful day here in rural Ontario. Sunshine and 33 degrees now. We had a great walk. Yesterday we stretched our walk to 1 1/2 hours, but todaay it was only 1 hour as I wanted to get back in order to listen to the garden show on the radio. A lot of town people have discovered our trail, and we are meeting a fair number of dogs. Today, it was a beautiful husky. I will not be bringing a dog to the island, but anyone wants a dog walker, I'm your gal.

Oh we need a girls pampering day! OK on the beach. We each have a sort of cabana so we can get a massage. Oh boy could I use a massage. I hate things touching my face so I gotta do my own facial. Ladies get to take their pick of the pampering they will get. I want chocolate covered strawberries!
Joe was not a small dog but if I told him you were OK then he would be right up to your face asking for rubs. My friend said her glasses were never safe from Joe's nose. No small yappy dogs like I have at the other end of the hall!
I hate people! Just went to the store that has everything frozen. About 20 minutes across the top of the city. I go there because it is clean, well organized and friendly. But dealing with the idiots on the road..and the man walking through traffic! No
I am headed to a secluded point on the island where I can listen to the waves crash on the rocks!
I hope you are having a sangria Lynn whilst you watch it. I love sangria lol. Hola
i take it we won’t need many clothes on this island..saves washing lol. Better pack lots of sun lotion though. I’d love a floor where we can dance and maybe a juke box with heaps of different music on. I quite fancy dancing under the stars in my hula skirt lol

OK..so we have a bar. We have a dance floor with a huge library of music. Me..no clothes on..umm NO! LOL we have a laundry service. Jayne in a hula skirt sure! Why not. This island is what EVER we want it to be. I tell you thinking about the island has been great at helping bring my BP down. Yup no sunburn! I am Celtic so just looking at going out in the sun and I turn red!
Just trying to catch up on the chat, the cats would have to be away from steve as he allergic to them, gets so he can’t get his breath, I’m loving all the things to do, I love a bit of a jig as my mum would a good job we won’t put on weight with all the goodies!
Lynn I’ve never seen that programme was it in English or Spanish?
Ina your walks always sound so lovely, we used to take our dog Sam into Derbyshire and up on to Froggets edge, we would do a twenty mile circular walk on the hills and end at the pub for lunch, we used to say Sam did forty miles as he would run ahead and then come back to check on us before dashing off again, we would meet Steve’s eldest brother as he lived over that way, SIL hated walking so she would go to play Bingo!
Gracie we couldn’t do that now, we used to have a really steep climb up to the top of hill but once up there most of the walk was along the edges of the hills, the walk back to the pub was all uphill, we were certainly ready for a drink and a sit down. When Sam was getting old steve used to lift him into the car at the end but he just loved to be out with us, if we cleaned the car he had to sit in the trunk with the door open , he couldn’t bear being left behind, it’s as if he knew it was the weekend and not a work day when he was quite happy staying home.
Jan, 20 miles is a long, long walk, even for me! Our regular walj is about 4 kms, but now that the cottage road is too icy, we walj on a path through the forest, and I wpam guestimating, that we may walk sbout 6 kms now. Your walj sounds wonderful though, over the hills and dales. And to have a social lunch afterwards!
i am awaiting a call back from my daughter, as we may go walking this afternoon ......... same trail.

No allergies on the island. No illness. Mosiac would stay at my villa most of the time so you would have to come visit to see her. Joe would be off with grumpy. There would be a large selection of walking trails. Serenity Way is just one. Each trail could have whatever you want for difficulty or view.
When grumpy and I lived in the south end of Vancouver we used to do walks all the time. One walk was down the street to the 101 steps. Down the steps to a rocky kinda path. Follow the path to the beach usually seeing eagles along the way. Stay at the beach and have fish n chips. Then back uphill to home. At the back of the property was an urban mixed use park. There was a wooded duck pond area. There was two places for soccer and one for cricket. There was another area for baseball. We used to ride our bikes around the park it was so big. Used to worry about Sparkplug, our dog as there were coyotes in there. Sparky was a little peke-a-poo poodle mix with no brains.
