I hope that it's ok that I started this thread here but mods, please feel free to move it to a more appropriate location if necessary.
Ladies (and gents),
I started an exercise challenge at work several months ago and its going great. As you can see by my siggy, its actually working wonders on me. Ive mentioned the program to a few people and several have indicated an interest in participating on it here. So, I thought Id start it.
I found that having a partner really made me a lot more responsible for exercising every day.
Sign up until June 1st by sending an email to:
[email protected] or posting here.
1) Indicate the name of your partner. (SCS name and real name) (Make sure you exchange email addresses with your partner).
2) If you dont have a partner, then indicate that youd like to be set up with one. I will pass your email address along to your partner.
3) Indicate if youd like to be in the Mini Fit or Mega Fit Group.
a. Mini Fit: Dont exercise regularly at all right now. Goal: exercise about 3 hours per week.
b. Mega Fit: Exercise about 20-30 minutes per day. Goal: exercise about 5 hours per week or more
4) Send me your team name as it will be used for posting progress results.
The Challenge:
1) Each 10 minutes you exercise will move you 10 km along the map.
2) Email me once the amount of time you and your partner have exercised adds up to the distance required on the map. For example, the first leg of the trip is from Lisbon to Madrid (638 km). Once you and your partner have exercised a total of 638 km (638 minutes), your team captain sends me an email stating how much each of you have exercised.
3) Your exercise time can NOT be paid time. If you are paid to do it, you cant count it.
4) I have attached a list of different types of exercises. Please make sure your exercise is on the list. If its not, check with me to make sure it is ok. If it is, Ill add it to the list.
5) Every Sunday night, I will post a challenge to be completed that week. If you complete it, you can earn bonus time as well as the time spent on the activity.
