You're right - they definitely switched the weather. My parents live in Mississauga and for once, my mother gets to brag about her daffodils blooming before mine and how she's already sat on her patio drinking tea! I haven't even started my garden cleanup yet!!!!
I am so jealous of your mom! I sit by the window with a glass of tea.. wishing my garden would do something! LOL
Do you have a tutorial for that rose? I would like to learn it's construction.
I kinda cheated....it's Tim Holtz's pinecone die. He showed how to make them into flowers on last December's 12 Tags of Christmas posts...I will see if I can locate which one had the video for you...
I will miss my dear friend a lot, but he knew he was going to heaven and looking forward to it. He lost a 5 year struggle with cancer, but we had him 2 years longer than expected. We used to meet every other Saturday morning at the grocery store and would have lovely chats. He and his wife have always been a great support to me. The tragedy is not that he died (being the same age as me...65) but that his daughter who is only 39 also has the same cancer as he had and is starting her 6th round of chemo this week. She has 4 young children. She is in pain and very weak, so I did not approach her at the funeral. So the card I made was for her.
So sad, Ina. Sorry for your loss

I should be out gardening but our weather is so foul - freezing cold and a mix of hail and rain. So I'm spending the day in the craft room. Sorry for posting so many cards this month but it's all the fault of our abnormal weather! Here's another:
Don't be sorry about posting so many cards, Susan. I love to be inspired... even if I can't get into the Studio right now to play.

You guys have been doing a great job! Thank you for continuing to post in my absence. With the Texas Music Awards just 2 days away, I've been really busy trying to spotlight as many of the nominees as possible and get short story contest entries ready for competitions.
I took one stormy day last week and got some serious cleaning done on the 'office' side of my Studio. Unfortunately, it left stuff on my work table. It will be Monday before I can clear it off and get some projects finished up.

Ina, so sorry about your friend. I am thankful for the comfort and strength that we can have in the Lord.
I made another card this month for my BFF's DH. He was cutting wood and building a fence yesterday , and almost cut his thumb off with a table saw. They were able to stitch it back togerher. But I made this masculine tree card for him. He spends a lot of time "playing in the trees" as his wife says. So that is why is used trees! I alwasys have a difficult time with masculine cards.
Awesome card Sharon. So glad your friend didn't lose his thumb! That 'lovely as a tree' stamp set is just so classic and versatile. As a matter of fact, my sister-in-law is a potter and this week she was showing me her work and I noticed the big tree from that set was impressed in a plate she made. So cool!

Is it really spring? I think Mother Nature is really confused. It's snowing here again. We just got rid of most of the snow from Monday. At least it's not the heavy, we snow like on Monday. These are the soft, fluffy flakes. It looks like we're supposed to get more snow tomorrow. Well, I do live in Montana where it's not spring until Easter. We really did need the moisture.
I finally got to make a "happy" card instead of a sympathy card. This also takes care of my obligations for March. Now I have to look to see what I need for April.
I'm working on a set of OSW cards for my daughter. I had the paper cut way before Christmas but never did get the cards done. My daughter and granddaughters love horses. I can't remember what template I used, but I think it makes 15 cards. Here's the first three.
Thanks, Ina. I think I really needed to make these to get me in the mood again. I was starting to get really depressed making so many sympathy cards this year. I hope one day soon I can make some sympathy cards to keep in my stash. It's so much easier than having to make one to use right away. I know I need to make a bunch for my boss for her stash.
I made a very quick card to keep in my stash. It's one of Kelly's challenges in the S2S 2012 forum. It's Make Your Own Holiday day today. I make today a Senior Moments Holiday. Go ahead and have all the "senior moments" you wnat. It's okay. You don't have to feel guilty. I literally threw this card together without much thought.
I just got done leaving love on all these cards. Susan, Ina and Val have really been cranking the cards out this month!!! I've been very busy with work but, I did get some cards done last weekend.
I made ten sympathy cards for a swap. No pictures, barely got them done in time for the swap. I got all four cards done for the monthly Verve sketch challenge. I made four of the St. Patrick's Day cards. They are: St. Pat's Wild Rose Sweet Friend
and a quick easy one, Chocolate Chip Coffee
Can't believe the month is almost over! I've got a challenge ready for you on April 1st!!!

Thanks for all your love Dianne. I'll be looking forward to your challenge, although I won't be making or uploading any cards until after April 9, as I am visiting my son in Austin right now and in a house with 3 kids and three dogs, you don't get much chance to settle down to card making. I will be shopping though! We don't have any Hobby Lobby or Joanne stores in Canada, and my son lives close to several of those here!

~~~~~ Oh hi Ina!!! Can you see me waving from Keller? We're only about 150 miles apart but I still won't get a chance to meet you. Arrrrgh! Enjoy your visit and shopping. Don't let those 3 kids and dogs wear you out!
