I combined a VSN Challenge with mschoener's handmade flower challenge for this card Rolled Flower. I don't think I am very good at this. Ina does such a lovely job, I will have her "show" me how to do it!
this is finally the birthday card for DGD for her bday friday. I have to mail it tomorrow!
This is the first card I've posted in a while. I've been so busy at my job, with yard work, spring cleaning and camping. I had to make 10 birthday cards for card club swap. Birthday Zinnia

This is one of my cards for June, Ive also used it as my Masculine Challenge, Im really enjoying joining in the challenges as it helps with the inspiration and its a welcome change from Christmas cards when the temperature is 32c !!!!
My husband went to Canada in the 70's, he was in the army, they went to the ranges in suffield and he said how hot is was. He had his R& R in Calgary, we keep saying we will visit there one of these times when we are going to San Francisco but I'm always too eager to see our grandson so we go straight there.
Jan, I had to look up where Suffield was, but I found it.....it's near Medicine Hat. I think you would really enjoy going to Alberta. It's only hot in the summertime. It gets really cold in the winter. Not too far from Suffield are the badlands of Alberta, which has gorgeous rock formations and dinosaur bones, and then if you traveled west, you would see the Rockies, which are absolutely awesome!

Oh he did go to medicine hat, we've looked at the train, think it's the rocky mountaineer, I think that goes across country through the Rockies, looks spectacular, we will have to do it, always something going on so we don't do it, next time we go we will have a new grandson to meet,

And if you go 150(?) miles south of Medicine Hat, you'd be visiting me in Montana.
Hey girls!
I updated the CCC12 tonight. I'll be in here to update you guys tomorrow night. By the time I get Adrian to bed at 10, I'm not far behind her :-)
I'm going to miss her when she goes home but... 9 more days and I can get back to routine.

Two more cards made for June, my friend asked me to make a birthday card for her daughter and a 70th card for her brother in law, always worries me when I make cards for other people to give so hope she likes them.
Oh, my - I did make and send my June cards, but got behind in uploading and posting. So I guess I'll just start fresh for July. Congrats to all who made so many beautiful cards and shared them with us.
I did get my Christmas cards done for June - on this very last day!
I'm enjoying seeing all the creativity here. Sharon, June is almost half over! Must be a light month for you.
I didn't upload anything last week or participate in any challenges. But you will see that I was busy creating stuff. I've made 4 cards for my S.S. class, sent out a sympathy card from my stash, sent 2 more birthday cards from my stash, made a thank you card, and altered that clipboard.
I still need 2 more birthday, 4 more for my class ... and the June CCC cards.
Here's what I uploaded today:
Left Love, Val!

Here is my card for the June 15 challenge. My son is a cook and he is one of our cooks for our 4th of July bbq we host for the community so I decided to go with the King Of The Grill stamp set. I am so not good coloring this image. I chose to use red, white and blue since they are the colors of our flag.
You did a great job, Debbie!

Another card for June: My Daughter in Law has been ill and this is a thinking of you card, inspired by a VSN challenge.
I have to make a birthday card for DGD now for her bday the 22nd. Hope one of the challenges fits that!
Sharon
Left love, Sharon. Great card

Hope all my fellow Americans had a wonderful 4th of July. Mine was real busy with our big community bbq and music festival. We had at least 1400 people this year. The morning started off with a coupld of glitches but ended up being a fun time. We saw a lot of new faces and a lot of familiar faces. I had a lot of great help again this year. There's something to be said about small town events. The support from individuals and businesses was overwhelming. In the past I used to make all of the thank you notes, but DH has taken over that task. We use a piece of his artwork on them now. I still have the task of writing in htem. I don't like writing a generic thank you; I like to make them more personalized. I think that may be why we get so much support from our local businesses. In fact, one of them mentioned to DH when he was asking for a donation again this year how nice that personal thank you was. So many people are asking for donations for fundraisers and they only put a generic thank you in the paper. We list every business and individual who either donated money or items for our raffles in a thank you ad. I know we miss some people because they show up to help and DH and I don't always get their names. Our thank you list is over 100.
Thanks, Val. We haven't even started on comparing notes for our thank yous. We need to get a thank you ad ready for the paper. I know there's going to be close to 100 names on that list. We shold have had that pretty much ready by now, but we've been so tired. My brain doesn't even want to function.
