Hi everyone! Just checking in. I have not been doing very well on any of my challenges this year so far, but that is going to change this weekend! I actually have a couple of days at home with no commitments and I am going to create something! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hey girls! February was kind of a bust for me. We were all sick for a week two different times, I'm still getting used to my husband going to the gym after work, and we had a couple of full weekends. I don't think I uploaded a single card last month. I even did some of the Lovefest challenges, but didn't get them uploaded in time. Anyway. Onwards and upwards.

January and February for card making was a bust for me. I got 2 valentine day cards made but the holiday came and went before I had a chance to mail a card out to anyone. so this weekend I made a set of 6 Easter cards, clean and simple cards. this week I will get the envelopes addressed and the cards wrote out. so that way all I need to do is mail them.
I made a list this weekend of card goals (realistic goals) of what I want to do each month and mail out. I want to try to stay a month ahead of my goals and so far starting over from march on...I'm doing good. Now we'll see how long that keeps up.
anyone have any idea's on a christening card? I'm lost on this one and someone I know is in need of one for the this month. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like you've at least got a plan. we're here to help you meet that goal
Would be interested in any christening ideas myself as I have to make one for our grandson, I have played with the book die but it isn't going well so any fresh ideas would be useful.
Kirstyn you can only do what you can with the time you have, I have my birthday list and that takes priority before Christmas cards or challenges.
I only have two birthday cards for this month and a couple sympathy cards. I'm hoping to build my stash for sympathy cards so I don't have to try to make one at the last minute. I just wish I had more time right now. Or more creative mojo.
The challenge for March 15 will be easy-peasy, Back to Basics! Remember when you first started stamping and/or scrapping? You probably started with some white cardstock and black ink!! So, let's get back to basics and create a card/cards using black and white.

Ohhh. I love the B&W combo! Great challenge.
Thank you Vickie!
Can I join? I finally got my DH to move my craft table to my new craft space in the basement and joined a monthly stamp club (first order is going in today so I should have some new stuff to play with shortly!!), so I'm ready to get back after it. I've already missed enough birthdays this year and could use some motivation! :( My goal, starting in April, is to make at least 3 cards a month...
Hi! Still alive, still behind. ;) Just not getting much crafting time and my craft room is a heinous mess, so when I do have time I'm spending a lot of it cleaning up. I think it's time to bust out some super CAS cards.

hey hey Paula....teehee...there you are...been wondering if them kiddos were keeping you on the run.
That and my husband has been working on our computer. It's so much nicer now! Hooray! Just been busy on the weekends and with the time change the kids have been getting to bed so late! My mom's birthday is next week so it's time to get crafty. Too bad I have no idea yet for her card.

I'm so relieved to read I'm not the only one who has been too busy to get many cards done! I've gotten a couple done and photographed but, never had the time to edit and post. My mother even called me on St. Patrick's Day to scold me for NOT MAKING HER A CARD!!!! She said she really looks forward to getting homemade greeting cards.
I suggested she not hold her breath, waiting on an Easter card.....

well, Ina, I'm getting a little better...but still need to work on it. been expending my energy lately on job hunting and clearing out the house so not much left over for cards. gotta find me some energizer bunny pills or something.

If you find some, will you buy me some too?! ;)
March has just not been a crafty month for me. No mojo. I did some organizing and cleaning in the craft room and I did a heck of a lot of shopping. (Yeah, my stamp to spend totals in my signature are NOT accurate at the moment.) But I'm kind of feeling maybe not quite crafty mojo, but the itch to craft? So I think I'm just going to CASE myself and recycle some layouts and ideas and just get some cards made. Sort of a warm up to being creative.

Paula, we all hit those patches! At least you got some cleaning and organizing done. As for the shopping.....we all enjoy that too. But I imagine that you were more aware of needs versus wants......even though the wants win out sometimes. Just look at your new acquisitions and feel motivated to use them!

Around here in April Spring sometimes has a hard time getting started. like today, it was sleeting this am....YIKES!! but Spring is always my fave season...wind and rain and all.
So For April 1st challenge'(a little late)
I challenge you to use something on your card to represent your fave season
Ha, ha Sheri! We had 3 inches of snow this morning, with 21 degree temperatures and a bitter wind! The thermometer has gone all the way up to 28 degrees now! Not a nice drive in to see my orthopedic specialist, but he had good news for me. My fracture has healed and he is really pleased with the range of motion I have. He does however, suspect I have a bit of a tear in the rotator cuff, but it's probably small.
BTW, my favourite season is summer!

So glad you got a mostly good report Ina. My favorite season is anything BUT summer. Ha! Remember, I live in Texas! I guess I'd have to say fall is my favorite. If I were still living up north, I'd say winter, but Texas winters aren't all that exciting. I'll see if I can do something fall-ish for my next card.
Great news Ina, pleased to hear you are on the mend.
I think summer is my favourite season although July and August is far too hot, June and September are my favourite months here.
Ina, good to know you're mending nicely. Time is flying by fast around here. Which is a good thing because I'll be done with the tax season on Monday. That will free up my Mondays again so I have more time to make cards. I am so far on everything that I just decided not to worry about them.
