I did very poorly and only scrapped one page in August! I don't know how Lela and others do so many. I think I over think each page, and I rarely have kits, unless it is very old in my stash. I have so much, I rarely buy anything accept glue and adhesive, anymore! LOL
So, my goal is 10 again and I hope I do more than one page.

I will be adding our last party challenge to the Summer VSBN sometime this month; so watch for that.

Then in October I will add the last VSBN Challenges of the year. PM me with any ideas for themes or challenges.
Happy scrapping! So glad to see Lela popping in!

I agree that it's hard to believe it's September already!

I did 14 pages in August so my YTD is 74. I'll set my September goal at 10.

I'm starting to work on 2019 & I think I have around 40 pages to do so that should get me there by the end of the year! I've also noticed several events don't have a lot of photos so I'm going to try to use my kits! I have so many but my photos never seem to fit! Also feels good to use my stash! I'm trying to only buy adhesive too!

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

I will set my goal for 20 this month to make up for the ZERO I did last month! I do have a crop mid month so I should be able to catch up.
August was extra busy with my mother’s appointments, college move in and work. I did get cards done, so it wasn’t a totally uncrafty month.

August was a bust for me as well.
Only 2/10 for goal. YTD 59/125
Sept will be better and set goal at 10 again.

Hey ladies!
I did very little crafting in August and only a few necessary cards.
So yesterday I ignored everything else and got seven events scrapped for my youngest, for a total of ten pages. They span over the last six years, ha. I uploaded some last night and a couple more this morning. Two are for the VSBN - picnic and pool challenges.

Seven Months
Graham Cracker Houses
Back to School Night
Polar Express Night
Father's Day
Learn to Swim
Kindergarten

Happy September! I have (4) more pages to add titles and embellishments to and my 54 from the Crop are in the books! I scrapped like a “mad woman” 😝😝😝 but MOJO was good and I had made page “kits” to take with me. That was HUGE PLUS!!! I will definitely do that again

This month will be iffy… Big News …. We’re moving! We bought a house closer to our Kids. I’m so excited. New Scrap/Office is 10.5x10.5. It will be more about organizing, purging and packing than maybe scrapping we’ll see?! You know what happens when you start organizing supplies - Inspiration

This weekend is CM Virtual Crop and so far the sketches are great so I may get some pages done this weekend

How fun you are moving! You are the second person I have heard of this month who is moving to be near their kids. We are afraid to do that as our kids might not be done moving!

Lela,
that is exciting! Can’t wait to see your new space. I am lucky to live close to my family. It is great. My mother took care of all the grandkids and a few others through the years.

I scrapped today, it was good to craft again. I have a crop next weekend. I have to start packing for that. I bring all my Disney stuff because I store it separate from my other stuff. It is sorta packed already.

we’ve been looking for almost (2) years, it’s been so tough to find or get offer accepted. I’m hoping my kids stay but at least we’re further South even if they don’t …

yes! I’ll share! I’ve been sharing on my Facebook CTMH site because I started in on the process of packing, purging, organizing, moving, unpacking, organizing and set up … LOL!

I have SO MANY 12x12 Albums (43) … I love looking at them but DH said we may have to add on just to have Album storage. I still have so many stories and photos to scrap though …

it will be fun to live by Family and Friends again! We moved here for my job 18 years ago so we were not by anyone we knew. This will be good

Have fun at your Crop! I’m going in October, yay!

thank you, I always collect things on trips and then forget to include them! I am going to try to get more organized with how I save maps etc. I’m just thinking a large envelope after each trip would help.

Lela, Congrats on the move! I can certainly understand wanting to be closer. I am happy you found what you were looking for after all that time. We do not have grandkids yet, but both of my boys live 3 hours from us now and I already feel the draw to be closer and know that if we get blessed with littles then that will be on my heart more than the house I love that I am living in right now.

Question that may seem like a dim witted one. Can someone explain crop kits to me? Are you talking about things purchased that already go together or are you referring to putting together all of the elements that you would use on a page with those particular pics ahead of time? Or something else entirely? I have not been to a crop in decades now. All of my scrapping friends from when I started do not do it anymore and I have such a great set up at home that when I think I want to I do not pull the plug to spend the money for it. But, I know I would enjoy the social part of it.

Here are my first 4 for Sept and all were done with VSBN in mind.
Lake Life 22 by Shirleysgirl at Splitcoaststampers
Lake Vaca 22 by Shirleysgirl at Splitcoaststampers
Dock Day by Shirleysgirl at Splitcoaststampers
Learning Lake Dog Life by Shirleysgirl at Splitcoaststampers

I have kits that I bought. They are pre-designed pages, but I usually change them for my needs. They come with everything you need. I also have some page kits from Close to My heart. These include all the papers, etc. to make the pages. I also create my own kits. So if I know I am going to work on football pictures, I can gather all my football stuff in a kit and then create the page. It helps with packing for crops.
I am lucky to have a group of 6 who craft together. A few of us were friends before and then we added some others!! We try to go to one away crop a year and then craft at my house a few times a year. We have a blast!

I forgot to post. I had a great weekend away. We crafted, ate lots of yummy food and even had a few drinks. I worked on an album for my mother, total 24 layouts in a simple stories binder and 10 12x12 layouts for my album. I was working with pictures from a 2021 DL trip. I will post a few pictures soon.

Amy, really cute pages!! Who made the clear water stickers? I would love to get some for my upcoming lake pages. How's Joe the Show doing? His name makes me smile!!

I went to a craft day with my friends last Saturday & did 4 pages. I just need to put some finishing touches on them before I post. It's suppose to rain here this weekend so I'm hoping to get that done as well as a few other pages. Getting to the end of the month & I still need to do 6 pages to hit my goal.

You can do it Lou Ann! It is going to rain here too. We have a birthday party, then I hope to come home and scrap! I’m waiting for my order with a 2nd simple stories album so I can finish my mothers gift. I love the books, but the small layouts can be a challenge. I’m so used to 12x12. Last weekend I started working on a gift scrapbook too. My niece is having her 2nd baby in January, so I need to make her a book.

Last weekend I started working on a gift scrapbook too. My niece is having her 2nd baby in January, so I need to make her a book.
I should be staying home but I'm off to shop with my sister-in-laws...LOL! I'll scrap when I get home & tomorrow. At least I got the 2 finished up this morning.

I'm not sure I could do anything else but a 12X12! Have fun at your birthday party!

I finished my mothers book! I have to count the layouts to add to my tally. My niece showed me all the pictures she has been putting in the album I made as a baby shower gift. I’m working on an album for her 2nd. Today I am making cards, I need a bday gift for a coworker.

I was hoping for more but I was able to get 2 pages done today! The journaling took me the longest.

I still have to count the pages I added to my mothers book. I did manage to make another set of card as a gift. I used a Queen and co. Disney shaker card kit. I decided that I don’t love shaker cards! But I’m trying to use what I own. I bought this years ago and spent a lot, so I’m making more Disney shaker cards!
