Swimming in the deep end here! I wish I could get to my crafty stuff...I do have to do something for work that is crafty so I will get to touch my Cricut but not for personal fun ;-). I had to replace my cell so we upgraded to smart phones and I was able to take a pic of my last project to upload to gallery...on the computer to link...not sure how to do that yet on the phone (or if I can). Is it a sign that I'm getting old if the phone is smarter than me? ;-) This is a 'drive by' so I can't get to leave luv in the gallery though I do click on the links to see your pages ~ hopefully next weekend. Here is the dps I did last month but did not get to post.
Anavon, the pic is upside down so I'll have to look closer later but DS & fianc look lovely! DD1 is Asperger's and it's always so encouraging to hear those positive stories. Have to say, I don't doubt her future at all; everything seems to even out in the end. I'm blessed she's 'high functioning' and although she has some difficulties in life, they seem to get easier and the 'quirks' seem to not stand out as much as she gets older; I'm hoping with the end of public school it'll be even better! She starts our local college in the fall and we hope after she gets her A.A. all will be good and we can send her to the art school she'd like to attend (if she/we can afford it...YIKES! ;-) ) Wishing him (& all our Aspies) bright happy futures!!!
Just checking in from Charlotte, NC! Hello ... hope all good. Not as warm here as I would have expected ... on my way to Greenville, SC and Atlanta, GA.
No scrappin' for a few days but I hope to enjoy the gallery for inspiration over the next few days ...
Hope everyone is having a good week

I was able to squeeze in a couple more challenges!
I really liked the March Progressive challenge, so here's my finished page: Rummage Sale Flop
I combined it with the DGSC115 challenge - Wearing O'Green
It's been a crazy month, but I finally came up for a breath of fresh air this week and decided to spend some time scrapbooking - woohoo! I completed 2 layouts and hope to do 2 more this week, since I'm so far behind on my monthly total. A big thank you to Lela and Valerie who jumped in to rescue the Stash Busters challenge when I was drowning in other stuff. You gals are the best!
Regina asked on the Tuesday Digital challenge if I would post some of my MDS projects that have been about as scrapbook-y as I have been able to get lately.
I noticed that details for how to see the games on live stream video online are on the poster. Don't be afraid to check it out! Gonna be some great action, and if you've never seen wheelchair basketball it will be a good opportunity to see! My guy is #14 on Team Alberta! (and the kid in the lower right hand corner photo on the poster...its also his hand on the ball in the postcard)

My Mom passed into the presence of Jesus the 19th. So happy for her that her suffering is over. She can talk again, and sing, and move her arms and legs, and eat! Don't know when I will get pages done and start posting again.
Just wanted to tell you why I haven't been on for awhile.

Prayers for you and your family Sharon. You were blessed to have your mother for so long and the sadness is strong but with time your start remembering so many memories and then you'll be able to create. Now is your time of mourning and healing ~ we will be here when you feel time to create and we look forward to seeing your lovely pages.
Coming to you 'Live' from the Rosen Plaza in Orlando Florida...
I'm here chaperoning DD1s convention/competition for TV/Film production class ;-). We've been here since Thursday and leave Sunday and I'm only just setting up my laptop so I can do some digi pages. We don't really need to supervise but we still had some busy times. I love being around all these creative students and I'm jealous I couldn't take a class like this when I was in high school! :-).
I'm off to check out the Feb digi challenge. I hope your weekend is going well.

Had a great Sunday, ended up subbing for our Sunday School Teacher today. One of my favorite, but emotional lessons about the sacrifice and true obedience of Abraham & Isaac. I think it went every well... But all I have thought about for the rest of the afternoon is how much I miss my kids and giving hugs & kisses to my new granddaughter. woe is me.... !

So I've been making signs for Jr Nationals and I was going to take some for outdoor to get laminated at Staples. Decided that at $49 for 12 11x17 signs I would just buy myself a laminator and do them myself. Now I'm in love with another new toy and envisioning some pretty fun laminated digiscrap recipe books for Christmas gifts this year!! ;)

Ran my very first 5k (color vibe) this morning in 58 mins. To you who run, I know that is slow, but for me that is a new record!
Looking Good Anavon....Congrats! Dman ran his first ever 3K a year or so ago in about 45 minutes so your time is awesome! It would take me forever...literally. I'd be beside the road somewhere waiting for someone to come by and find me and pick me up!
Okay, so I have 3 more pages from today. I have a free shutterfly book and the offer ends tomorrow. So let the kids govern themselves, I'm doing this! Mount Wanda Mom Day 2013 June 2012

That sounds like such an awesome idea. Though maybe a little bit labor intensive. But since you already have the idea now (instead of a week before Christmas) you can start early. Which is super!

I was thinking the same, I would have had twice that time on a good day if I even made it :o
Hello from Nashville, TN. I actually will be arriving home tonight from a two week business trip. Looking forward to spending the weekend in my scrap office watching Match Madness. B basketball.

Sharon, I'm so sorry for your loss, but am glad too that your mom has been released from her suffering here. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Been busy recovering from surgery (a minor procedure) last week and trying to get ready for vacation! Going to NYC next week!
Catching up on everyone's posts! Will have to check out pages when I return, in the meantime I hope everyone has a chance to sing along with the new Quotes & Lyrics challenge....
Busy does not even begin to describe this month so far. And I am not entirely sure I have accomplished much of anything. Crafting hasn't even entered into the picture although I have thought about it a few times Had hoped to maybe go the a weekly crop tonight but ended up going to the gym with DH for a workout (day 2 as we just joined this week!) and decided it was easier to stay home than to go.
I have week 2 & 3 of the Stashbusters printed out and at least plan on pulling things together, when week 4 gets up I hope to get it all done and posted before monday!
Hope everyone's March has gone reasonably well. Tomorrow is my baby's 17th birthday, feeling a tad bit old
Hi ladies. I probably won't get the Stash Busters challenge officially posted until very late tonight (still working on my sample and I have to leave for a banquet with my hubby), but I thought I would give you a jump start by giving you the list. For week 4, please use either 1 piece of mulberry paper & 1 patterned paper OR 2 patterned papers, alphabet stickers, embroidery floss, and 1 embossed item (either wet or dry). Hopefully I can work on my sample some more tonight and get it posted!
I will have to do a search, I don't remember exactly what Mulberry paper is? But I am sure I will figure it out and use some sort of representation of it!
Digi folks, Designer Digitals is having a sale until April 3, 900 items at 39% off a day with a 99 cent special and it changes daily. It's a good thing I was very frugal all month! Since I didn't scrap for so long, Katie made a lot of goodies that I missed!
Yesterday was dh's 65th birthday, I felt kind of bad, I had to work, of course, but I bought him a steak and a cake for dinner and cooked, so he was happy! I think my sons will celebrate his birthday on Sunday, they were busy yesterday, which seems to be the norm-they are busy folks, I know, I lived with them for a 1 1/2 years while my dad was alive!
I am hosting a Culture Feast at my high school tomorrow. I advise the National Honor Society and I have asked my kids to help put on this event, which asks all the school clubs to have a table with an ethnic food for sale and we will hopefully have some entertainment, and we plan to give out 200 Certificates of Greatness to students.
My dear friend and colleague from Las Vegas hosted this event there, and she passed from liver cancer last year. I felt I needed to bring this to my new school in her memory- I was her helper, but I had no idea how much she put into this event. I have heard her tell me "kiddo" several times this last week when I have felt overwhelmed- ( She used to call me "kiddo" which was such a sweet thing for a 50 something woman, me, to hear!)
I plan to make a couple more pages this week, so I will finish out the month with 41 or so pages, I still have nearly 20 pages of 2012 to finish!
Off to work I go....
Have a great day everyone!

I didn't go with this option on my layout, but I actually have one piece of it that was hidden in my stash. It's a paper with lots of rough fibers woven into it, and when you tear it, it leaves a soft edge. On the piece I have, one side has been pounded smooth and the other side has lots of texture. I'm attaching a photo so you can get an idea of what it is.
Hi! I did two more pages but can't upload them yet b/c they're for a Design Team post… I updated my signature though - hope that's not "cheating". lol. I'm leaving tomorrow to go on a cruise (so excited) so I won't be around for the April challenge post. If you happen to see this… I'll say 5 pages again. If not, I'll check back when we return on the 6th. Happy scrapping!!

I've got a whole ream of this stuff. I'll have to start using it on cards since that's what I'm in the process of trying to make

This is the "problem" with stash! I know I have some pink or white mulberry paper but where it is, that's the problem and thus causes the stash issue because it's not somewhere where I think it should be, LOL!
