Hi all. I feel like it's been forever since I checked out something other than work related issues! My DH bought out another company at the end of December and we now have "real" employees along with 1001 other issues that he's never had before. We took on a 3rd partner with this buyout and after 42 days, the guy decided to no longer be a partner which has caused all sorts of negative problems that we've had to deal with legally. Then my DH younger brother died in Oregon so he had to fly out there and was gone for 5 days dealing with stuff....it's been an absolute zoo trying to deal with a new business venture, legal matters, death issues, and general day to day kid stuff (I had to take care of cub scout stuff in his absence too!) that I just haven't had the time or energy to get online for anything other than business! This morning we have a school meeting for DGS and then we have to deliver parts down towards Philadelphia for something that was promised by the former partner that he shouldn't have and try to salvage another customer relationship..just never seems to end anymore. Good thing (maybe) is that with all the activity I have to do now, it's been no problem losing weight I just don't have time to snack and sit around I think I've lost close to 10 pounds the last 2 months! If this keeps up, I'll waste away to nothing in no time...now to find time to go and buy a new wardrobe I hope to get some time to go look at what was done for VSBN and in the gallery...might give me some inspiration to try to remember how to turn on Elements. Taking pictures at the Pinewood Derby this year is the first time I've even taken my camera out. DGS did place 2nd in his Webelos division so he was pretty happy. Have a good day everyone...off to the school meeting next!
I already checked them out & left a little luv! How did you layer your background paper on "Enjoy the Ride"? I think that's so unique!
It has been a few days since I have "visited" here. Long enough that I had to go back to look to see just what I did for that page.
I used a Silhouette cut file background with offset layers to cut all three layers, red, grey, print dp. Than I took the negative of the dp to layer over black for the second page.
WOW Terry, I knew there would be someone else with a much more hectic schedule then mine. I will not whine about my schedule again and if I feel the need to whine I will just come here to see what is going on with others.
Doesn't it just make you wish you could literally "pop" in and out of peoples lives and homes to give a helping hand with errends and whatnot so our lives did not seem overwhelming?? It makes me wonder how we always manage....... well, I know how we do it but still. Take a deep breath in and out then on the run again.
Hope that scrapping time comes soon Terry but in the meantime, don't forget to take pictures to have when the time comes.
Boy, Terry, being busy is one thing but a stressful time like you've had is a triple wammie! Hope things change so you can get back to scrapping!
By the way, CKC Lancaster will be opening up soon early April. We're coming down Tuesday before the classes start to shop around the area. You should check out the day pass for the vendor show...maybe we could meet?

That would be fun! I looked it up online and it says it's Jully 26 and 27. What is in April?

April is when they have everything finalized & open class registration. If you don't sign up for any classes you don't need to worry. You can buy passes for the vendor fair online up until a week before the event or even at the door.
Once ti gets closer, we'll have to make some plans!
I finished 2 more pages so I'm up to 4 for March and guess what...it's not BLUE!! I think I'm going to try to expand my color palette on my next LO too! hahaha!
Eeek! I'm behind but want to join the March challenge. I didn't meet my goal in February... and not sure how March is looking either - lol! I will set my March goal for 6 pages. I better get busy!

Two more pages done! This LO was put together awhile ago but when I added the photos & journaling today I felt I needed to made a couple of additions to finish it off.
Did I ever tell you guys how glad I am I found this group? Yeah, I know...several times...LOL!!
Terry, I'm so sorry that things have been so hectic and stressful. Running a business with employees is no easy task and adding the death of a close family member, partners backing out, promises to keep AND still keeping the world good for the kids is overwhelming! I'm glad you found the silver lining (weight loss). Sounds like a little get-together with Lou Ann would be a nice break! I hope things slow down for you soon. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
Lou Ann, Sharon, Mary Pat--good job on your latest pages!
I've been scanning old albums for a genealogy search my niece is doing, along with trying to organize my digi supplies AND scrap area, so it's kind of a spring cleaning month. Not much scrapping getting done so far this month!
Good Monday Morning! I thought I'd stop by here for some uplifting. I need to go through my 'C' hard drive and see what I have saved. I usually save everything to my external hard drive but it's been giving me trouble and I'm hoping if I loose the information I haven't lost much :-(; I try to save in both places and on our desktop but I'm not sure how current I am. DH is taking the external to his IT guys at school to see if they can transfer to another hard drive, so here's hoping!
Mary Pat I'm sorry to hear your having technical problems. We've always tried to be good at backing our files up but it's easy to get away from it or even out of sync so things aren't always done the same way. Hope IT can save it!
I loaded a few digi pages that i need to link here, and I'm up to 4 pages for March! Two of these pages are my week pages, and no, I have not done weeks 5-8, LOL! I have a list I'm keeping track of things on, and I plan to get it done....really! haha...
Oh and Wendy! MDS Monday is a blog with challenges and sketches for digital scrapbooking. You can find it here: MDS Monday I haven't played every week but I enjoy what I've done so far.

2024 Scrapping Goals: May: 13/20; April:11; 2024: 59/125
Due to the sudden, but expected crash of my laptop yesterday, I have been forced into taking a renewed interest in leaning all aspect of my iMac. This is the first images posted using a much newer version of Photoshop Elements.
Soon I have to take my phone in hand to call Provo Craft and Silhouette America to download their designing systems. I am already missing the availability of my Silhouette.

I think I may still have everything excpet the recent digi pages I did (one didn't save which is when I realized the external was bad) & the other saved but might not be able to read. DH is working on it and he's seeing if the IT guys at work can do anything. I'm off tomorrow to buy another external. I can't access my digi kits yet and I may have lost most of them but most were free and my gf will share her files if I need them.
Nice pages Kelli. I haven't done any pages this month yet. I think I will try the last sketch challenge. Maybe get something on tonight.
Terry, sorry about all your problems. But congrats on loosing 10 pounds. i found it. LOL
Mary Pat, I feel for you with the computer problems.
I now have my 18 month old laptop hooked to a tv to be able to use it!

18 months and you have to hook up to the TV to use??? That doesn't sound good. 7 years of service out of mine was a GOOD deal then. How we suffer when our computers start glitching.

I saw you mention this before...I would never have thought of that! DH had to replace my screen on my old laptop but he's a good tinkerer so didn't cost much. How do you like it on the tv? I think I would prefer that in some ways though not if I had to sit up close.

Hooking the laptop into the TV is awesome! I was going to do it with mine for work purposes but we couldn't find a cable long enough to do it with our big screen TV but we tried it with a short cable and it works great! I didn't even need my glasses to see the screen
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm just dropping in to see what's going on and to get ready for DGS's spring concert tonight. Tomorrow DGS has off school so I'll be further behind at work..sigh....

Well, it isn't a laptop anymore! LOL
Luckily we have an old dining room table in our family room, next to my craft room. I bought the cheapest small tv, they don't come any smaller than 19", I guess, but was only $110 vs. $300.00 (according to BEST Buy) for them to send off to get fixed. So, I thought at this rate the whole thing might go, so didn't want to even buy just a monitor ( which you can do) and then have the whole thing go out and be stuck with a monitor. This way, I will have a TV that I could put in my craft room (if it comes to that) and for viewing all my out of date Videos on, and for Grandchildren's WII when they come.
I really do like it and isn't this weird, our skype on my laptop still works. So have to look at camera on it, but over to the tv to see who i am talking to..
But hopefully I can get 6 more years out of it. Sharon said her laptop has lasted 7 years. I will say this, I spent a lot of time on it. it was working most of the time!

Here is my Task 2 for the digi progressive challenge. I know there are two more weeks to go, so I'm getting a little bit nervous about how this is going to end up. Thanks for looking. ;)
Hi ladies. I've been AWOL from scrapbooking so far this month, but I finally pulled myself together and got the Variety Challenge posted for this week. Come check it out and feel free to play along!
