Scrappin' Challenge 2008
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2008! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are we posting our goals here or chit chatting? anyway my goal is again 20 for $30. I didn't hit my 20 for Feb I got 15 done, but that is good it is better than nothing. I am going to hit my goal this month!

Hi Guys! Just signing on before bed. I have to be sure I'm subscribed before tomorrow - I can't miss a minute of Scrappin' fun when I wake up in the morning. I'll be here bright & early with coffee in hand . . .
Well, considering that March is only 1 hour and 25 minutes away as I'm typing this, I think it's safe to say that I will not be making my February goal.:confused: It's okay, life happens. Besides, if I didn't have that goal, I probably would have scrapped a big fat zero. This month I challenge myself to:
use more brads and/or eyelets on every page
use some of the chipboard I have stashed
create my own diecuts with my sizzix sidekick and cricut
Lastly my page goal is 5. Not a very large one but, it will be a challenge as I will also be working on bridal shower invitations this month as well. :o
My March goal is so different from my Jan/Feb goal. Easter and DD Randi has a birthday all in the same weekend! I want to for sure scrap that, so I'll save those for April.
Remember how I told you I had to make 75 wedding announcements and then the wedding was off? Ummmm it's back on. hmmmmm. So now I've got to hunker down and get them done too.
I've been so naughty, I haven't made one card although I've had every good intention. So I need to make some cards too!
My March goal is: 2 pages and my budget is still undetermined due to SAB. I want to finish all of the wedding announcements. So add 75 cards to my goals too!:eek: :eek:
I'm hoping I can get back on track in March! I'm looking forward to all the great EAster and birthday pictures for April! woot woot

My scrap goal is 6 again as this months and next month is testing month for the state so I'm not sure how much time I'll get go scrap. I'll also budget $100 again. I am hoping to get two pages done this weekend to catch up on my 52 week challenge. Not sure if I will get to play in VSN this weekend, but I will sure as heck try
On a whole other note I did manage to get another 15 stamp sets unmounted

Last month I was sooooo very bad. Didn't meet my goal and spent an embarrassing and non-speakable amount on scrapping supplies! Even though I only got 2 of my eight pages done, that was still two more than I probably would have done without you all!!
This month is full on with kiddies birthday's & sleepovers and going camping for Easter, I'm going to have to drop it to 6 pages & a big, fat, massive, ginormous (is there such a word??), humongous $0.00 spending money..... oh wait, my friend has just given me the stampin' up catalogue. What do I do?????

I'm still on the cricut mission - just bidding my time - giving you a chance to jump on in first (aren't I full of the most useless excuses???)!!
My DH & I are off to dinner now minus two children tonight. Heaven!! Hope we manage an adult conversation that doesn't revolve around talking about the kids or me spending the evening madly looking around for them thinking they have wandered off!!!

So living with the parents is really cramping my stamping of any kind. I hate to mess up their dining room (which they have been nice about letting me have and DH the office). I think that's way I've been so into the digi thing (no mess). I do miss my stamps and papers though. We will be moving back into our own home this summer, and we'll be looking at either enough rooms for a computer office and craft room (5 bedrooms and a study) or an office/study big enough for both. Do people really need a dining room? On the plus side, my parents have been really nice about the three of us living with them this long (8 months) - DS has really been working his charm
WOW, March already! Since I was way off for Feb, I first thought of lowering my goal, then decided I should add int he number I didn't get done for Feb in to march, which would bring me over what I had for Feb..such a dilemma
So after going back and forth, I finally came to my numbers....
22 pages and $30 to spend.
Here's hoping I can reach it this month!

I guess I wasn't the only who didn't make their February goal. I needed to complete just two more pages and ran out of energy.
So this month I will not be setting my goal so high. I will say 10 pages (hopefully VSBN will help) and $0 for budget. I did use what i have for the pages I finished so that is what I am aiming for.

I would like to join, but i have a question or two
I am doing some swaps and so do I count just the original lay-out or all of the multiples that I send off as part of goal too--I am also making 2 sets of whatever I do for my sons as Christmas presents--would I count each lay-out or just the original one??

I think you count them all, I have been when I make five of the same (1 for each son)...
I have been SWAKed!!!! I got a pile of lovely cards from such talented ladies. I have sent cards out so please be looking for them. Thanks for all the hugs you sent to me overseas. They are just what I needed! (( HUGS to you all))!
Ok-here goes--it is a really good thing that I get a week's vacation in March
I am going to make 33 double page lay-outs as swaps
8 double page lay-outs for me w/pics
10 double page lay-outs for my sons w/pics
I am going to spend 125.00 and use a bunch of what I have in my scrap room!
Another big motivator for me is the fact that I have inherited the old pics from my mom's and my sister's passing in the last year and I want to get them all scrapped while I can get answers from my dad and aunt about who the people are in these pics!
Thanks--off to get busy--I want to finish my dog swap and my summer fun swap this weekend

We had SO much FUN SWAKin' (Sending Wishes and Kindness) that I thought if you were "game", in MARCH we would play something I'm calling "LUCKY ME".
Here's what I'm thinking...I'll send out to 2 people--maybe 3 (2 cards each). When they get it, they will keep 1 card, add one to the envelope and send it to someone else. We'll just keep it going for all of March. Everytime you get the envelope, you'll get to keep one of the cards but have to add one and send out. You can pick (from those who want to play) who you send it to or I can make a suggestion if you need one. The only 3 criteria - (1) The card has to have green on it somewhere (2) You post in your signature "Lucky Me" and add a number each time you get the package (3) Please try to send out the package not more than 3 days after you receive it. Each Package will only have 2 CARDs in it at a time. You can choose either card to keep!
The people who have the CARDS on March 30 get to keep both cards --- LUCKY (ME) YOU!!!

Ok I am actually going to change my goal:eek: I want to add the pages I missed from last month so I am going to up it to 25 still with a $30 budget. I also really do want to give those pages that need the "love" some love this month and get them out of my way. I am ashamed to say it has taken 2 months for me to get this done since I made it a conscience goal add that to the 2 yrs or so. there really is no excuse.
So my goal is 25 ppages including giving some love to the loveless. I am keeping my spending to the stamp club amount even tho we get our bonus this week and all debt will be paid off!!!!! YAHOOO YIIIIPPPPPEEEE HOOORAY!! Then I can use my paychecks for whatever I want, but I do want to be wise with our money and save up for holidays/vacations/improvements/emergencies etc kwim. Either way I am just excited, next week I will be stoked!
Ok I am going to go do stampticians sketch right now cause I know exactly which pics I want to do and I want to get that done before I have to take dd to a party. After that I hope to join VSBN for a little bit until ds baseball game. Tomorrow I won't be able to be here cause we will be having games all day most likely. (Baseball season has now begun! so I will be busy with that.)
Ok sorry I just rambled on and on. GOing now to work on that sketch.
My goal for March is to finish the 5 i missed last month plus 5 more. All on a $0.00 budget. I gotta use up my storage and hoarded materials...lol.
