Today I was spontaneous and went to a crop at a local scrapbook store where my friend had been all weekend scrapbooking. I just took along some card projects, though I was tempted to bring my computer and do some digital pages, LOL. I got about 7 cards done, and had fun catching up with my friend
Since I've been home I made another card, and worked out how to use my electronic cutter - or at least, got a start on it. Used it to make a cute pocket from a free download on SVGCuts.com. While I've got things all plugged in, I am sitting here tonight going through and actually printing a bunch of my pages. Feeling productive - its been a good day!

Love productive days!
I'm slightly (actually, extremely!) jealous that you have a local scrapbook store! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I've spent most of the evening looking thru the gallery and looking at stamps from Paper Smooches. I should have been "doing" something rather than "looking". The next couple of weeks are going to be busy as we help our daughter and son in law pack and move into their new house. ;)

It is actually really rare for me to go to the local scrapbook store (there are lots around here). It costs me too much money! LOL I went mostly to hang out and catch up with my good friend - her son and mine have been going to school together since kindergarten! I often get a lot more accomplished at home and I have so much here it kills me to go somewhere else to play because I can't take it all with me!
I hope your daughter and son in law's move goes very well! I'm adding bling to my pages as they print...a nice start to my hybrid page goal for this year!

As I sit here printing pages I've decided that I really need to start printing as I create. It is SO fun to make my digital bling ACTUAL bling - as long as I don't resize my SU pearls, rhinestones, buttons, etc I can add the same actual item to the page. It looks AWESOME!

I am totally lost when it comes to digital scrapbooking. I would love to watch someone. ;)
My digital pages are a LOT like my traditional paper pages. I mix and match them in ring albums - although I am admittedly doing almost exclusively digital pages these days.
I use My Digital Studio. I am in awe of those who use Photoshop, but I found the learning curve too steep for me. I don't have much patience!

Terri - I'm jealous about your e-cutter. Have you used it with MDS yet? I have the Silhouette Cameo on my wish list. I'm in awe at what I see some people doing with it! And I know what you mean about packing stuff to crops. I'm going to a neighbor's house this Friday to scrapbook - it takes me all week to pack and get organized for it. I kind of prefer to create at home b/c everything is right at my finger tips... but the socializing makes it worth it. ;) I mix and match my pages as well. I'm doing mostly digi from here on out except for the hundreds of photos I already have printed that I'll go back and scrap traditionally! And I'm with you about MDS - so easy and so fun! Lisa - there are so many quick and easy tutorials on the MDS site. You should get the free download and try it!
What a great page Cori!! I got a Sizzix eClips. I like it, and yes, I have been fiddling with stuff on MDS, but not enough to actually create anything yet. I wonder if the Silhouette isn't a little bit easier - but I think it would be a learning curve no matter which system. The cost for each is about the same, though I think you can get a Cameo with a coupon at Joann or Michael's.

This brings me to a question....how do you ladies organize your photos you want to print? Do you print pics immediately that you know you'll want to scrap? Do you choose a layout and then the pics? I find it intimidating going back and looking thru tons and tons of digital pics to choose the ones I want to print. :?
I have my photos in files with dates, so a 2013 file, and then with a file for Jan, Feb, etc. If there is a huge event in that month, where I take more than say, 15 pictures, then it gets its own file, within the month it happened. This makes it less overwhelming to me.
I wait for photo printing sales thru snapfish and walgreens, and print off what looks interesting, or what I just bought something for.

Good Afternoon Ladies! I am finishing up my chores, taking a dip in the pool, then hitting my craft room. Took a break from chores to leave some love and all your pages are inspiring me!

Terri, LOL ... I had to laugh about that as I've been staying away for the same reason. I love to go scrap and chat but whew...my wallet and stash get hit every time. I have been better about staying away lately, mostly just because we've been busy-busy. It's all good ... I actually prefer to scrap at home as well because it's so much easier having everything where I know where it is, !
I got some good scrappin' done this weekend. If I ever get my camera back I hope to photo for the gallery

LOL they mostly sit around my house. I am trying to add photos but I just can't seem to find the right "theme" of photos to add to them. So they are shelf "pretties" for right now.

I prefer scrapping at home too (when I'm either paper or digi scrapping.) I get more chatting than scrapping done when I'm with a group. Never been to a crop, but I do notice how hard it is to focus when I go to an SU workshop or party. That's fun too, though!
Melina, that page is so cute and so fun! Love the colors and the layout! I have got to get my pages photographed. Why is that such a hard task?? lol
I have found that if I use my phone camera and email the photo to myself, I am more likely to post it than if I wait to use my regular camera. More steps are involved if I use my regular camera so not likely to do it. Of course, I first have to scrapbook some pages! LOL!
Just a reminder, that if you use Creative Memories albums, you have until July 31st to order pages and page protectors and some coversets. After July 31st, they are no longer available.
Hi everyone. I have been working on cards and other projects this past weekend. I managed to make some of the cutest little chics that I posted in My Gallery and my blog if you care to look. I cut all three of them using my Silhouette Cameo. DoodleDivaDesigns: Shirley Goodness and Mercy Silhouette Cuts
I also decided to become a Close To My Heart consultant the other day and I am very excited! If anyone would like a book please pm me and I will be happy to send you one. I just love all the new stuff that they have available.

Have a great week!
Too funny, I've been considering this but I don't have a local consultant and just contacted 2 yesterday to see if they had workshops. My gf does SU but only as a hobbyist...just not sure what I want to do.

Mary Pat,
I don't have a local consultant either. I joined under a gal I have chatted with in another forum. I love all the CTMH products!

Oh wow, I wondered when they would "go away". I have never been able to afford those things! Yikes the last time I looked at CM website just to get 1 album with 2 extra sets of side loading pages......it was going to be $100!!!
I have some CM albums/coversets that were given to me and I found pages that fit them (with the staple and everything) at Hobby Lobby. I use my 40% coupon on each pack that I buy. Ahhhhh, much more affordable.
Here is a DPS using Cheryl's sketch and challenge. It's been so long since I scrapped it took me forever to get it done & I have tons of scraps left over.
I'm still working on my digi page in PSE 10 but I'm not sure if it's the program or the computer so I may just switch and go back to PSE7...it maybe because I'm on Windows 8...wish I knew more about computers! I like digi scrapping but if it keeps taking me this long to do a page I may just stick to paper for now.

I have never used CTMH albums but I hear great things about them. Now that they are "going away" I am beginning to wonder if I am missing out!! Crazy.
Maybe someone else will use the same style under another name.

Too Funny .... we have lots of CTMH Gals here on the thread MP, you should do it ...
I just got my 5year pin and I know Cheryl (scs: motherload) has been w/ CTMH for probably that long too
Everyone needs to check out the new Artbooking Cricut Cart because it's awesome.
Fun Fact, they opened in Australia/New Zealand last week (stepped in to take over CM) and they've already had over 1000 Gals sign up to be Demo - wow!

Getting them uploaded seems to be so difficult...LOL!
My camera is still broken. I sent to Nikon over a week and a half ago and they are STILL working on it. Their customer service and repair service has been less than impressive but I love my Nikon camera.

I pre ordered the Artbooking Cart!! I also ordered a stamp set. These will be my first purchases, but I've used some of the stamps/papers at a couple of card classes I've gone to. Can't wait to get my goodies!

Dell, you'll love being a consultant. Don't worry about having a local upline. There is so much support on the consultant bulletin boards and Facebook group that you can figure out just about anything you need to know! Welcome to the family. I just got my 5 year pin (just like Lela) and I love this company.
Look! I made a PAPER scrapbook page!! I just need to find a birthday picture to print and add to it! I used up TWO full sheets of patterned paper on this page, and a full sheet plus of cardstock. Attack the stash!!
I couldn't see myself using the July My Paper Pumpkin pennants on anything but a scrapbook page. I'm pretty happy with the result, and I have enough supplies left to make another page similar - or different! I will do a little more digging to find another sketch

August is almost here, and do you know what that means? (Drum roll, please.) It's time for another VSBN! VSBN runs from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11. The theme this time is all about techniques, and we're looking for hostesses to prepare challenges for us. If you are interested, please check out the hostess call thread here!

How did you get in my studio?? This looks just like my space!! Down to all the creative mess around my key board (same) and SU paper under my work. I try to attack the stash every day and have been looking for inspiration to start another layout. I have always started here for that inspiration and more ideas. Thanks to all of you I don't have to look far!
As you can tell, I don't know the difference between CM and CTMH..... I keep getting the two mixed up. CM's albums are going away, not CTMH! Sorry about the goof.
I too pre ordered the artbooking cartridge bundle. Yea for August, when it comes in. Fortunately I have a trip to Montana between now and when the cart arrives so it takes my mind off waiting for it.
