:( no scrapping for me this month -- nor will there be I'm afraid. We have had so much rain here. Our entire basement flooded yesterday. And that is where my craft room is. Thankfully I didn't have any paper on the floor! I need to call my insurance agent as soon as they are open to file a claim. I think we will have to tear out all our carpeting and replace it all. We just finished renovating our whole house a year ago. I'm too old for this. There is so much water, it blew our hottub right out of the floor (and it was cemented into the floor). It is raised right now about 18" out of the ground. We pumped 350 gallons of water out from underneath it last night. What a mess I'm in.
Anyway enough crying here -- I hope you all have a great day in your scrap rooms.
Oh no, Deb, that is so awful. Especially after just having all the renovations done. Be sure you think about mold and mildew problems when you get your estimate. We had a basement flood many years ago in my house in NY, so I can certainly commiserate with you. It's so much work and aggravation. :-( I guess the silver lining is that at least you were home and not away on a trip/vacation when your basement got flooded. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
Yeah for Rebekah for finishing your Wedding Album!!!! Let us know what program you are using to try to resize your pages, maybe one of us can help you.
I haven't tried to resize the photos...never done that before. But I used Windows Live Photo Gallery to upload them and crop them...

I just checked on my computer and I have it and this is what I would try (I use my PSE and not this program): 1) Open your photo; 2) (on my version) In the 3d box you'll see the selection PROPERTIES, (it might say ORGANIZE first but mine only did that when the window was small) click on it; 3) under Properties click on RESIZE, then click on SMALL(640 refers to the megapixels); 4) under Browse make sure you click on the file you want to save it under (I have one I mark SCS); Resize & Save. Just be sure when you upload you go to the correct file.

Thanks Mary Pat...still was not able to do it in that program BUT I figured it out in Paint... So, here they are...
Rebekah, do you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager? That's what I use to resize photos for SCS. I usually resize to 25% and also compress it for web pages.
YAY! And in further news, my sister in law is in labor with my nephew right now...Little Eddie is being a bit stubborn so they might have to do a c-section...Can't wait to meet him and take pictures of him!!!!

Congratulations!!! Having a whole slew of Eddie's in my family (father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousins)...tell her to get use to the stubborness!!! :-) Best wishes for a safe delivery & healthy baby!
do you see that paper with the numbers on it? And the lovely flowers and snowflakes? Tons of stickers and rub-ons! Heaven! I think I will be getting it and joining in doing a December Daily album! I will have to plan things to do during December so that I have things to take pictures of.
Oooooh - what fun stuff for December Daily albums!!! Unfortuneatly, I am up to my eyeballs in Christmas stuff, so I try to use what I have. But go for it girl!!! I will cheer you on and help you get it done!!

Oh no, Deb! What a catastrophy!!! I would be devastated. :( I will pray that the insurance company helps out and let me know if there is anything I can do.

I'm still plugging away over here. Almost done with the mini and I am doing a copy for another friend of my DD who is going to move. Don't know how many 'pages' they should count for? Still have to journal on all the other pages I've completed this month as well and then clean up the scrapbook room before DH returns home from his deployment.

Oh my Deb. I agree with Wendy though...at least you were home. We had that happen to us at our last house after sewer lines were put in. They blasted the road in front of our house and changed the water table...the next time it rained a lot, we got flooded. Our poor dog alerted us in the middle of the night since she didn't have anyplace to lay down without being under water! It sure is a mess and an awful lot of work to clean up...hope things are progressing with the ins co and the clean up...prayers for strength!
And remember Sharon to "think" outside the box when taking photos. You had some awesome pics on your Italy album so just think "scrapbook" pages when taking more pics!
I've caught myself grabbing the camera more often since I started hanging out here on SCS and getting some pretty odd pics of things You never know when you can use them on a page...some of the challenges offer unique ways to scrap them!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you are going to get with your prize!
Remember to use your keywords ThurFS0728 and SBC11JUL
Enjoy!
This is a good challenge and I kind of thought the same as Wendy when I read the sentence. Will have to browse through pics to see what inspires me! Maybe I can work in the plaid challenge at the same time
Only one and a half days left of July and I have 16 pages scrapped. Don't think I will hit my goal of 25! I have to leave now for a baby shower, but hopefully I can come back and scrap some more tonight. My hubby and the kids are away on a little trip, and I secretly hope they don't get back until late tonight. Is that bad of me? Loving the quiet, productive time.
I had planned to do some card challenges from Friday's mini-VSN, but I concluded that I've become a scrapbooker through & through. Every challenge I read only brought to mind photos & SB pages I could make--never cards! So, unless I get a sudden urge to make a card, I think I'll stick to scrapping! lol

I found myself doing the same, haha! I sat down to look through the VSN challenges and ended up scrapping pages for Patti's "What a Difference" challenge and today, instead of doing cards I finished a page for Sharon's "Ice Cream" challenge from a few weeks ago ... I'm sure I'll do cards again later but not this weekend.

I managed to scrap a couple more pages this weekend, so here's the last seven layouts I completed. If you only have time to check out a few, my favorite is the So Grateful layout, and the Round & Round layout is from a sketch challenge posted on my blog. It would be fun to have some of you ladies play along!
