I haven't had a chance to pop in here and update my goals for the year. For December I need to complete 13 pages to reach my yearly goal of 75. However, I am participating in the December Daily Album and that will more than cover my 13 pages. I see no reason why I shouldn't make my goal this year.
Hope you all are doing well! I miss being over here and chatting with you. I just have alot I'm dealing with right now. I hope that 2010 brings positive change to my life.
For those of you that like to play along I have posted this week's IFC challenge tonight.
Lela, love all your 2010 fun ideas so far!! You always do such a great job keeping everyone motivated to scrap.
hey Anavon, Thanks for posting that link to the Today show.
I "took the mornings off" (Slept on the couch no matter WHAT) this week after being sick twice. My poor 4yr old is boucning off the walls now, in retaliation, I think.
Unfortunately scrapping has been put on the back burner until I get this, that and the other done for Christmas. I *am* going to do the December Daily album as soon as I get my MDS Christmas Morning (haha) so in the mean time I am taking pictures and writing up my journaling each night. I am hoping to keep checking in on your pages tho!

Good Morning all.....
Good Morning All....
Daizees...... You're welcome! Did you watch it? What did you think?
Sounds like everyone had a great weekend. We spent our weekend with lots of church meetings and ironing out the end details on the Christmas party that DH and I are catering this weekend. Everything it going as planned.
I am off to go for my walk and to get ready to check in at the office... I watched the sun come up this morning and it is looks very chilly and damp out there! bbl....
Just posted Days 5 & 6 for December Daily, of course now my Days 1 and 2 are gone again, I sent a note, because this is so frustrating, not sure why they keep getting removed, the names are definitely different so hopefully they can let me know what the heck is going on!!!!
Not sure when 5 and 6 will show up, hopefully soon though, what a great project to keep me moving through this month!

This page is awesome! Do you remember where the Title Alpha came from? It's really cute. I learned how to use the burn tool in the one JSprague class I took but I didn't care for it too much. Whatever you did was different from what I remember. Doesn't look bad though.

Thanks Terry, I don't really know what I did with that burn tool, but I couldn't undo it so I had to leave it. As for the title alpha, it was on my PSE8 program I'ts called PT ribbons

Taaaa Daaaaa .....here's the most recent update! I'm sorry about the double post from yesterday, I fixed it. I was typing from the 24Hr Emergency Care during my 2hr wait to see a doc for 5 minutes to tell me that I had a sinus infection which is what I already knew! I was trying to productively pass the time instead of standing up yelling at them to "hurry up". I don't claim patience as a virtue especially when my head is hurting

SCS52WK48 / Thursday Challenge
"Cut Glass Christmas"
I "Adore"all the magic colors that the holiday season brings... Everything always seems a little bit brighter and little bit cheerier... And keeping with the theme of family traditions, I thought it would be fun to create a page using all your favorite Christmas colors that we find in OUR FAMILY'S Favorite Christmas Day Dessert along with tying back in that one Word that we choose at the beginning of the year.
So.... Your Challenge is to create a LO using your favorite colors of Christmas, showing a family tradition or sharing your family's favorite holiday recipe.
Here is the recipe for our salad:
"Cut Glass Salad"
Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) box lime gelatin
1 (3 ounce) box blue gelatin
1 (3 ounce) box orange gelatin
1 (3 ounce) box cherry gelatin
2 (3 ounce) boxes lemon gelatin
Water
1 1/2 single packages graham crackers
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 large cool whip
2 cups Whipped Cream (sweetened 1/4 of the sugar)
Make each box of lime, blue, orange, cherry and 1 box of lemon gelatin according to package directions using 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Pour each flavor into a greased 8-inch square pan and chill in refrigerator until set. Cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
Crush graham crackers and mix with margarine and 1/4 cup sugar. Save 1/2 cup of the graham cracker mixture and set aside. Press remaining graham cracker crumbs into bottom of a cold-cut keeper or 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Drain juice from crushed pineapple and add water to juice to make 1 cup. Dissolve the other box of lemon gelatin in 1 cup of warm water and add pineapple juice. Chill until almost set, will be chunky when stirred. Stir in pineapple.
Fold together cool whip, whipped cream, lemon pineapple mixture. Next lightly fold in gelatin cubes. Stir easy as to not break up the gelatin cubes. Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle reserved 1/2 cup crumbs on top. Chill in refrigerator until set, at least 2 hours.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
Note: We put the graham cracker crumbs on the side because they sometimes go soggy and that is not to my family's liking. So we use them as a garnish for those who like them.
I am at working posting this so not sure if my quotes will show up correctly … alot of web sites are now blocked …
I am totally MIA for November and December. For the past week I have been down with bronchitis ... just got back to work today. The next few days are going to be crazy at work for me with the Commander's Holiday Open House on Sunday followed by graduation at the end of the week. My Christmas cards still need to be assembled and mailed and hope to work on them tonight. Then we will be off and driving across the state of Texas to spend the holidays with the kids.
Maybe when we return I'll get my last few pages done to meet my goal for 2009, so my goal for December is 4 pages ... if not, there is always next year!
Okay, now that I have given my sob story I'll move on.

Actually, have a very busy weekend here - not sure how much scrapping I can get in. I have DH's bday party tomorrow at my in-laws (combo early Christmas gathering with cousins). I'm baking a cake for him - well, one for him, and one for the rest of us who don't like German chocolate! I just finished up a photo book of scrapbook layouts to give as Christmas presents to grandparents... got it uploaded and ordered this morning - so I'm done with scrapped Christmas gifts. DH is taking DD to a movie today with a group of people (neighboring town does free holiday movies during December - they are older movies, and they are in the morning - but they are totally free! it's so fun!) and they'll be out of my hair today so I can work on sewing the scarf and apron i want to make for my DD. Plus, I got some new ikea shelving installed in my stamp studio/loft, so i want to spend some time organizing things up there. Not to mention the end of the year work I need to catch up on for my real job, and the photo orders that have piled up for my photo clients. And planning a baby shower for my SIL who is expecting twins in Feb/March. Baby shower is just after Christmas. Need to get invites done!
As much as I love this time of year, i do look forward to a quiet January.

14. 2010 Scrap Budget It's not so much the "planned" scrappin' /stampin' spend (demo purchase, club purchase) as it is the "impulse" buying. If you really think about it, certain times or moods bring out the push to purchase. This year we're going to have 3 ways to track your Scrap Spendin'. For those of you who want a little "boost" for pages we'll have scrap before you spend option. This option is for you to decide how many pages you want to complete with stash you have before you purchase "new" items. Our 2nd budget tracking option will be a monthly spending tracker. Set a dollar amount and track how close you get. This will be included in yearly goal tracker so easier to look back over a year. 3rd option will be a Scrap Savings Tracker. In this option, for every scrap dollar you spend, you'll be encouraged to put that much into savings. Next year, your scrap budget (or some other fun) will be funded from this year! We started doing this the first year and it was LOTS of fun! You are welcome to join us for any or all of these you'd like to participate in!
(pssst...not yet) ;)
More updates for 2010
