Hi Everyone! I've been MIA for the month..lots going on here. I've been doing a bit of traveling and card making. Trying to get some mojo for scrapping but every time I sit down, something comes up and I get distracted.
I did 10 pages in March (puts my YTD at 45 pages). I don't think I'm going to get that many in April so I'm going to set a (late goal) of 6. I can't believe its mid April already!!! My girls are getting ready for finals and coming home for the summer! My youngest will be done with her first year at the end of the month!
I'm sorry I haven't had time to visit and check out everyone's pages, I've been trying to get everything set for summer! Organizing and cleaning!
Here's the Stashbuster challenge for this week! April Week 1

Hello from Virginia! Miss you, so had to pop in and catch up a little. Congrats to Tanya and Anavon!
My DGD Kara is officially over due, will be induced next week - unless baby can make his appearance sooner. She was so hoping for a natural delivery. Her husband requested orders to Arizona to be near his family so they will be moving the first of May. The Navy packs them up, so that is a help. Then the babies and Kara come back to Florida with me for the month he is in school in Pensacola. Finally in June they drive out to AZ. It is going to be a difficult drive, I'm afraid, when we head to FL. Kara and the two babies and me one SUV and daddy and dog in his two seater car. So, Tanya, I feel your pain as I'm watching my granddaughter experience it too.

Just checking in. Got an email today about registering for CKC Lancaster and realized that is the weekend I just scheduled to go on vacation! Never even thought about it when I booked my timeshare week in Washington DC. Bummed! However if it works out that I don't go on vacation and someone goes to CKC, let me know and maybe I can come and hang out when possible.
They have one near here, in Tulsa in August. I have never been. Have you! Terry? I wonder if I would like it. I have never even been to a crop. I just can't think that I would get anything done. I read where a lot of you go to crops and get lots done.

I've tried a crop once but I didn't get anything done so I don't go anymore to any. I went to CKC Lancaster last year with LouAnn and her friends and also with Lela. It was fun and thru the one class I actually got a small Christmas album done and completed! It was really fun. If I have to do traditional paper scrapping, I'd use a fully made kit again. That way I don't have to match papers etc. It's all done for me and I would get it done a lot quicker. The only problem I had was trying to fit already printed pictures into the premade spots.

Thank you for your input. So, I would probably like the show, you think.

Sharon, I think you'd like the CKC Show/Classes. They are fun for new techniques or trying a new product. I'm going to take a couple of card classes at this year's in Lancaster. Not sure about the crop though. The ones they have are short time, usually evenings and the only time I went to the CKC Crop I did nothing, the space just wasn't set up to being real productive.

Seems like everyone is having a problem this month. Ha!
Count Me In ... I just can't seem to get anything started .... I'm hoping that having some time off this week and next will help me kick in a few pages to my annual total

Just checking in to say hi. Count me in on the "can't get going" crowd. I'm in my scraproom wishing I could scrapbook, but I have to prep for Bible study tonight, so I've committed to not scrapbooking until that's done. Of course, chatting on SCS isn't getting me to my scrapbooking any faster!
I do have an exciting announcement to make: I haven't posted a lot about it, but we've been fostering two siblings for the past 22 months, and when we went to court last week, the judge confirmed that we would be able to adopt them! It's been a long drawn out and stressful battle to get to this point, and we still have to get past a possible appeal by the birth mom, but at last we're moving in the right direction. I'm so excited that I'll get to scrapbook pictures of them thinking, "These are my kids," rather than "We wanted to adopt them but weren't able to," which is what I feared might happen.

Me too, Sharon! I've never been to a crop or convention! P.S. I love your Stash Buster Layout! Anavon and Tanya, so happy for your good news. Good luck in your new adventures.
Cheryl, that's great news! Good luck on adopting, prayers for a smooth transition.
I'm not sure I'm going to get anymore layouts done this month :( I'm starting my Scuba classes online and next week we're heading down to get my DD....she's finished with her freshman year of college!!!
I'll be posting the second Stash buster Challenge early...busy month!

Good morning, ladies. I threw my back out yesterday and I can't really do housework, so I guess I will have to resign myself to doing some scrapbooking today - LOL! I just posted the April Double Page Sketch challenge, so feel free to check it out. Hope it helps you in your scrapbooking this weekend!
BTW, are we planning anything for National Scrapbook Day on May 7? It's the day before Mother's Day, so I'm pretty sure I can persuade my hubby to take the kids on a fun excursion somewhere while I scrapbook! I would be willing to host a challenge or two if nothing's being planned yet.
I bet Lela has another mini VSBN planned for around that date. She usually does something around National Scrapbooking Day.
Our Mini-VSBN have been the 2nd weekend of each Month ... but definitely planning to post part of the challenge on Sat, May 7. I plan to be scrapping all day
*** I'll be introducing a "new" Mini-VSBN Challenge so you'll want to check in on Sat, May 7 and check it out ***

My great grandson arrived April 18th, my granddaughter was able to go natural all the way - no drugs at all! That wasn't the big surprise even though we feared she would not go into labor and would need to be induced. The big surprise was his size - 10 lbs, 5 ozs! Photo taken at 5 days old.
Good news from Cheryl, hope all continues in your favor.

It's chilly and rain here, dinner is done and I'm at the Scrap Desk ready to get some pages done! Off to a crafty start to the weekend. It's supposed to be "wet" weather all weekend so I just may find lots of time to scrap and stamp, I like it!
Sharon and Patti, you have a great Scrappy Month goin'!
