Can you believe this is our 8th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2015 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2016! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2015! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2015 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc16apr"

Hello April! I managed 8 layouts in March, so I'm going to go for 10 this month. YTD I'm at 15 layouts. I got a jump start on April by completing a layout based on the April single page sketch. Come play!
Hi! I did 13 in March, 3 over my goal! I have a total of 34 for the year done!
My goal for April will be 5. I already did 3! I am on iPad and not good with copy and paste, so just click on link in my soggy.

Got another layout finished this morning. Trying not to be envious of those who have 60+ layouts completed this year (and you know who you are, ladies)!
Hello my "scrappy" friends! I am in Virginia and will likely be here all month. No baby yet, due the 12th, but feel he will arrive before that. I am planning to take lots of photographs thou. So, none for me for April, but hope to pop in when I can to see what you have accomplished.

I'm at 51 pages for the year so far, which is pretty cool considering that's half my annual goal I'll be gone all this week but hope to hit it when we get back home from Disneyland. April goal = 10 pages.

Your sketch is going to work so perfectly for the album I'll do for our new building. I've been taking photos of the renovations. We are actually finally making the move of all our equipment this coming Thursday. Unfortunately, our office areas are not anywhere near being finished so not quite sure how this is all going to work! Men's bathroom is workable but no women's facilities yet! We've donated our building this coming Friday and Saturday for the Boyscouts who are trying out a new fundraiser this year. They are delivering bags of mulch and actually sold over 4000 bags! Delivery day is all day Saturday (will have quite a few tired boys I'm thinking ) So the next 2 days are going to be really busy in trying to get our breakroom area done and the other bathroom finished. I've been so tired the past 2 weeks I almost can't see straight anymore!
Terry, seems like this renovation has been going on for a long time, so I'm glad you're almost at the end of it! Kudos to you for helping out the Boy Scouts with their mulch fundraiser, too. Speaking of mulch, I posted a layout of a rose garden that probably requires mulching yearly. Okay, I really don't know that's the case, but it seemed like a good transition!
I need to rant for a moment, so here goes. After many years of using the quality post-bound albums from CTMH, I finally ran out of my last faux-leather album this year, so I looked around for a new album brand to use. I bought a Pioneer post-bound album and tried to place my completed pages in it, and I am soooo unimpressed! I had to use a screwdriver to remove the post backings (something I never had to do with the CTMH albums), and the base unit could only fit ten pages in it before it was full. Since I had forgotten to buy page extenders, I will have to drive 30 minutes back to the scrapbook store to get more, crossing my fingers that they even carry them. The expandable spine is really cheaply made, and once I punch holes for the current expansion of my album, it will not be expandable anymore. Really frustrated right now, and wishing CTMH had not retired their albums!
All the April VSBN challenges have been posted. I couldn't get them to sticky to the top of the threads, so you'll have to scroll down a bit. Happy Scrappin!

Wow, the VSBN challenges look so fun! I *really hope I can find a way to play soon!!
For March I got two pages done... that is... not what I had planned.
But here's what I have learned. You make a plan and God says "yeah, that's a good idea, but here's what we're going to do instead!"
And this year, God has said to my family "Yes, now you can have that baby you've been trying for for five and a half years" AND "It is, in fact, time to move."
Both very happy, exciting news that we have been anxiously waiting for...but I would never have chosen for them to hit at the same time. ;)
(And by move, I mean sell our place that we outgrew a few years ago, move in with my parents for at least the summer, and find a place to buy...)
Not only that, but my temp office job AND my babysitting job (neither of which needed me at all Dec-Feb) need me now, so I'm working 2-5 days a week. And the money helps! That's a good thing!!
But I haven't had a baby in a decade, and I am feeling my age, hahaha! There's a reason I had my other kids when I was younger...
Translation: any free time is spent NAPPING, not CRAFTING. And trying to motivate myself to pack. And clean.
So for today, I do not know exactly when I will get to scrapbook again. :( I DO still need to complete the calendar pages for this Christmas, but that might be all for a while......

OH, here is my first page for VSBN Sail Away!
I am scrapping in the family room as my room is a mess because I had to move everything to dry the carpet out from a hot water heater leak. Had to move all cabinets from one wall, and to do that I had to take everything out of them, and off them and that is all stacked everywhere. I can't get to supplies very easily and have not work space available!
I have all the VSBN challenges written down and I plan to take them with me to the 3 day get away I am going to this weekend. Here's hoping I scrap more than I talk. lol

Sooooo.... I am a little late checking in this month due to some wonderful (and maybe really stupid reasons) but here goes.... A friend of mine, knowing that my health has much improved and I am feeling like I am on top of the world, approached me and asked if I was ready to go back to work yet. I explained to her that other than independent sales jobs at companies like Stampin'Up!, Tupperware, Watkins, Real Estate and being a chef at my restaurant, I have always been a stay at home mom and now I am the stay at home "YaYa" (soon to be grandma to another in Sept.) She gave me the "BLAH BLAH BLAH" signal and said she needed my help with a project and went on to explain. After listening I was intrigued and told her to make me an offer that I couldn't refuse.... A WEEK LATER SHE DID!!!!!!
Little did I know what my title or role was going to be in all of this. The only real thing I knew to be true was how much she was paying me, I could set my own schedule around being home with my granddaughter and that I would be switching from my food and beverage career style to Retail. Never did I ever dream that I would be given the title of South Rim Manager, nor did I ever dream that I actually would answer to only her (my friend) and that I would be over and managing currently three gift shop style stores (soon to be five). My Husband and I talked and prayed a lot about it and felt very inspired to seize the moment, enjoy the new learning curve and thank God for all the blessings he has given us.
So to be really honest.... I am a brand new, full time manager that feels like she is on top of the world, that hasn't found time to stop by here and chat yet. I did however beat my MARCH goals by 2 due to VSBN and look forward this weekend checking up on April's Challenges.
My April Goals are as listed:
Scrapbook layouts and pages ~ 5
Year to date Totals ~ 22
Cards to Create ~ 10
Altered Projects ~ 2
Art Journaling ~ 2
I miss you all and feel so grateful that I have friends in all of you to share my "Art therapy" and passions with.....

I agree, I liked their old style! Have been disappointed ever since...
Is anyone else doing VSBN? I have one more to do, but either have to find some photos or get some printed!
Hey, hey Sharon, I'm back from my business trip although not less busy with work until Friday. Whew! I also have a busy weekend planned but it's fun stuff, dates with both my boys, one on Sat, one on Sunday (in MI). It's all good though, more to scrap, LOL!
I did finish all the VSBN Challenges but 1 so far and it's laid out on my desk. Liz did fabulous with so much inspiration I hope to finish that one on Friday night.
I am hoping for a Spring Break here soon .....
