Hello!! I am back from the most magical place on earth - DISNEY WORLD! We had so much fun and didn't want to leave. I am still exhausted and my feet hurt. We hopped three parks on Thursday trying to catch some shows and stuff we missed. Between us, we took about 1100 photos! the girls are already asking when we are going back. I'm thinking for Christmas! now to catch up here.

Jumping in mid month here. It has been a long time since I have joined - just completed three pages (okay so they all were very simple). My goal for April will be total of 6 pages - am I cheating no that I'm 1/2 way there?
Here is a Back to School page. I metaphorically dug through the Scrapbook sketch archives and liked SBSC115 for this layout.
Working full time, and still being Mum to Bek. Tired from the pregnancy and trying to find time to complete my assignments for Uni, so have been so busy i just haven't had time to scrapbook or even put a card together, but I have been thinking of you all.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy, and 2011 is treating you all well.

Glad to hear you have work, Jacqui. Wow, it's exhausting working FT and raising a child (AND taking classes???)-- especially when one is pregnant as well. We miss seeing you here, but ya gotta have priorities, and for the time being, it's not paper crafting! Will you continue to work after the baby is born?

I finished up two more pages. They had been layed out on my table, and I didn't know how to finish them up. I finally used Michele's Variety challenge to do strip journalling!
I cut out times and places right out of our daily ship schedule!!

I want to take it with me next month when I visit my daughter and show it to her.
I have been a very bad girl this month. I only have 4 of my 20 done and I'm not sure if I will be able to reach my goal! I forgot that my DD has 2 1/2 weeks off from her british school this month. Ugh. I am going to *try* to do at least 10 and then I'll have to add what I don't finish to next month. Who knows, maybe by some miracle, I'll get there! lol

I forgot to mention that I included on one of these pages an example of the ribbon weaving I learned on the ship.

I've been plugging away and have actually finished 9 pages so far this month. I started our trip to Italy and it is bringing back so many fun memories. I hope to have lots of time in the next week.

We were in Italy November 2010. We loved it too. Unfortunately it poured rain the entire time we were there, but we were still able to look between the raindrops and could see how beautiful the country really was. I'd go back again in a minute.

Have you ever wondered what to do with the little scraps....? I have and I am looking for some new ideas.
What size do you consider little scraps?
What do you do with your little scraps?
and When do you just (heaven forbid) toss them in the old tin can...?
I'm starting to get a little better. I used to save every little scrap -- now I save it for a little while -- make a pile of them -- then finally just toss them. If I only used 1/2 sheet of each paper I own, I'd live to be 100 and not use them all up. I have decided that it's okay to throw them all away! It is rather cleansing, I must say.

It was wonderful! We visited Rome, Florence and Palestrina. Thankfully, no rain while we were there but it was soooo hot!

We visited Modena, Bologna, Portovenere, Venice, Verona, Florence, Rome, Vatican City. It was wonderful.

Have you ever wondered what to do with the little scraps....? I have and I am looking for some new ideas.
What size do you consider little scraps?

If it is SU paper, I put it in the file with color it is. If it isn't, I put scraps in a plastic drawers marked colored, white, or black. I like to save little scraps if it is really pretty, and punch little flowers etc, out of them. I, too, used to save every scrap, don't as much anymore. But I sure get a lot of use out of those scraps!
Another thing, is to go ahead and punch the shapes out of the scraps, and then they are not scraps anymore. I have containers of those too. But, I make cards too, and all those shapes come in handy, you know like butterflies, flowers, etc.
Just found this thread. What a great group for morale support and accountability. I am finding after a few years of no scrapbooking and only card making that I am getting a hankering to scrapbook again. It is hard to get started because I can't remember where all my photos are stashed...we moved in August. I have a great craft room and have used it and improved it every month since we've moved in, but until this week only created cards. I'm inspired by national scrapbook month. I made a mini album to show my card making club gals and I'm going have each of them make one like it (I even took all their photos and made copies for each of them to use in their own mini scrapbook.) But now, I'm ready to tackle some baby albums. I have 3 kids ages 26, 24 and 16. Can you believe I never did baby albums? I figure I can make them all at once. I also want to make each of them Disney albums from the trips we've taken to Disney over the years...I'm inspired because we're scheduled to go again in 6 weeks. I'm not ready to commit to # of pages, but I'll be thinking about it and joining with a goal for May. Maybe between now and then I can find where I stashed all the photos.

Don't feel bad -- our kids are almost 30, 25, 25 and 23 and I haven't started their albums either. I do keep up with our grandbabies tho. And I pick away at different trips we have taken. Someday, I'll tackle our kids albums.
