Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2008 & 2009 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2010! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2010! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for July. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for July, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund! See POST #5 below for BUDGET!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2010 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 3 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "SBC10Jul"

We're going to launch another Thursday Challenge for 2010! I'm so excited!!
SCS 52 Week Thursday Goal Challenge!
This year on Thursdays you'll be invited to join us for our 52 Week Scrap Challenge. These challenges will be PERFECT whether you're working on your kids albums, 2010 Family Album, Daily Life Album or a "BOM" (Book of Me).
We have a SPECIAL Hostess for every month and each Thursday they will post a challenge that goes with their theme for the month! By the end of the year, you'll have some GREAT pages or a complete 2010 Scrapbook...OR BOTH!
I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal
wow, July already. That means I'm another year older in 5 days. So wow, 55 already!
I did double my page count for June, but I'd better just stick with 10 for July as we're going on holidays to Toronto again at the end of July to watch my beloved Blue Jays play (I sure wish they'd start winning again)

WOW! I'm thought since I'm up at 2:20am my time I'd peek at SC. Happy Belated Bday to Annavon and Congrats on your new home!!!!, Happy early B-day to Deb. Hello to all!MP you are doing the Mommy big time Your dd's are so lucky to have you. Lela have fun on your Vacations! Wendy as always your pages sooo Rock! Love them Digi Queen! Sarah, thanks for complement on my blog. It's very new for me but trial and era I'm learning as I go. Answering your question about adhering mini books, it really depends on the type of book for me. If it is a gift or for a item to sale I will decoupage all pages. Usually before I glue, I will trace and cut leaving a 1/4" allowance around chipboard traced edge and trim with exacto tool when dry, sand edges and embellish. If it's for me or a eco album I use glue dots, staples. brads (whatever at hand ). I recently bought Fabri- tac for heavier embelli's and it ( even though it's a little messy) works great. I am doing a lot of other crafts lately so I'm trying new stuff all the time.
So on to July..... well as I said " I'm keeping very busy" I agreed to make my sister's sorority albums and thank you cards, it totals to 700pages and 700 cards. I have a total assembly line going. I even have hubby cutting paper. I needed something to keep me occupied while my baby dd is gone .
My 16 year old ( baby dd) dd applied for a scholarship through American Councils for International Education and was chosen to study abroad. My youngest dd in Russia for 7 weeks, yes I'm a nervous wreck! She is staying with host family ( a retired mother and college age daughter) in Kazan and attending a University for language/ international studies.
Soooooo for July I will not set a goal (per say) just know that I am very busy creating Greek ( stuff) paraphernalia:. I won't be able to show it until after the 22nd, when they are having their National assembly.
Keep on Scrappin'!!!! tfl

hoping everyone is well!

well...i didn't quite reach my june goal. somehow summer seems to be just as busy as the school year :( however, i'm going to go big for july and set a goal of 16 pages.
i'm in! 10 layouts for this month. got a TON of catchup to do too!
waiting on an order of 2500+ pictures, 2400 of which are all individual different pictures! haha. i haven't ordered pictures to scrap with that weren't for a specific project in about 3-ish years so i went by month (what i could find anyway!) and spanned new year's 2008 - may 2010. haha. should be interesting!!
also in the midst of a craft room (and house-wide!) purge, reorganization, and cleaning, and i'm in the process of taking all my ribbon off their spools (including the ten millllllllion 25-yd rolls of sheer organza) right now.. its been about 3 days of doing this and i really hope i'll be done tonight!! hoping to be done cleaning by the time the pictures get here so i hope they take another week!! lol
JULY...how the heck did that happen...I've been WAY too busy but not scrappin' nearly as much as I'd like too. I've been shooting for 10 pages a month and am a bit behind so I'll set my goal for 16 in July. I keep thinking it's going to slow down but it doesn't seem to be doing that. We're off to Ft. Wilderness for this long weekend and should be back Monday. The girls start Tennis camp from the 5 thru the 14 but it's only 2 hours a day so I'm hoping to be able to scrap in the afternoons when we return. Also, the pool should be finished sometime during those two weeks and we can start up our weekly scrap group again. The girls only have 6 more weeks of summer break from Monday...back to school as soon as I get use to them being home!
We went to Universal today and walked through the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...all I can say is WOW! That's to the park itself but more to the MOB of people there! I'm sooooo glad we have annual passes this year because we didn't get to see inside of anything...IT WAS CRAZY! We'll go back during the 'slow' time. However, it was easy to get on a lot of the other rides in the rest of the park ;-) While in 'Hogsmede,' I did make DD1 & dd2's friend stand around the town while we waited for DD2 & friend's brother who were on the Dueling Dragons...so creating memories instead of scrappin' them...probably even better than scrappin' :-)
Kel, I too have been 'organizing' and thought my craft room was done until I went through my closet...now I have to make some adjustments :-)
Lela & Terry...have fun while you're down here...it's HOT & HUMID so be prepared ;-)
Tam...DO YOU SLEEP? My goodness woman, that's A TON of stuff to do even if your DD is gone...WOWZA! How proud you must be of your DD for getting that scholarship, so happy for you and her. What an experience! I hope she enjoys it and has a wonderful time and comes home safely.
I'm off to pay bills and pack for camping...have a FABULOUS weekend to you all!
Does anyone know if they have changed the upload policy? I have been trying to upload a page for 2 days and it keeps telling me to re-format. I am using the same size and doing things the same way as I always have so I am wondereing if something has changed............

Yes, they did. I believe Wendy posted a link to the change in the June challenge thread.
i'm on a roll...2 more repeat pages done 12 more to go for the month. too bad my family is wondering what we are going to have for dinner or i would just stay up here all night.
I took my written board exam on Monday so now *just* have to move... man! it's been a busy couple of months.
I'm still going to try for my year goal of 50, I'll have to break this down into months again once things settle down for me. With the wedding and graduation done I have a TON to work on! I will try to get- say 4 pages done before I pack up all my goodies to move home to Kansas. Can't wait to play with you guys more regularly. The time is coming!

I've been thinking about de-spooling my ribbon too--what are you putting the ribbon on instead of the spools?

This is my post #229 from the June goals thread:
Here's a thread that explains why people have been having to resize files lately. I came across it today while trying to figure out why my gallery says my last upload has 7 comments but only 5 show when I actually go to the page to look. (I haven't gotten an answer to that yet!)
due to hurricane alex we have gotten so much rain over the past two days that all i can do is scrap i just thought i didn't like hurricane season--LOL! i have completed two more pages this morning, but its another repeat so i won't bore you making you look at it again ;) however, i did make this very simple card last night! TFL!
I sure hope MP is not "rained out" for camping! It's been raining here in FL off and on yesterday and today. Remnants of Hurricane Alex ... it's so nice to have a few days "off work" spending time w/ family!
We're looking forward to Fun, Family, Food & Fireworks, that's for sure! Hope all of you are enjoying your holiday weekend.
I got invited to a Crop at the end of the month & I'm looking forward to it since I got behind in June on my scrap goal ... I'm sure I'll catch up, the good "scrap months" for living in the Midwest are coming soon.......

Hi!!! I saw on the weather forecast rain every day but DH says to expect that. It's so gorgeous here in PA today too! We leave around 9 tomorrow am for the airport and this time tomorrow will be in FL getting a game plan together for Sunday fun! Almost finished packing...just got to get the fish to their temp home at work so someone is around to feed them! TaTa!
Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!
''''forgot this was the goal thread""" I missed June so I'll go for 4 in July as well...we'll see though!
Oh my gosh. I have been MIA since Jan. It has been very hard to find scrapping time. But I met w/a group last night and finished two pages! Whoo hoo! It felt good...now if I can only keep the progress rolling.
I'll set my goal for 5 pages for July. I'm hoping to get caught up on the YTD totals before the year is over.

I decided to use the VSBN projects, trying to do one per week. Some are double spreads, so I hope to do 6 pages by the end of the month. I haven't done goal oriented
scrapping before. I have sooooooooooooooooo many pix to do. Hope this helps keep me motivated.
July. Oh my word. Well, I got 7 done last month but this month I'm shooting for 20. I have this week off of scout camp and maybe I can get something done with paper!
I will try to upload my June pages tonight or tomorrow...

Whoo Hoo! I got to scrap. Now that I'm done with residency these pages are even more nostalgic. I'm going to try to complete the "week as night chief" before I pack up and move.
I don't think I've done three pages in one day EVER! Yay! They take me sooo long, I don't know how you ladies do these 2 hour challenges. I just hope that the more I scrap the faster I'll get. Well, here is night 4/5 of my "Week as Chief".
