Why is it I couldn't get motivated all afternoon to get some crafting done and now my mojo is in FULL flare at... uhm... 11pm when I have to be at work at 6am?
So not fair. Hopefully I'll have some mojo tomorrow and get to my goal. Almost done with a lunchbox gift- just needs some hodgepodge tomorrow.
I sent out your package of goodies this morn. Hope it gets your mojo flowing!!

Too funny! And it reminded me of MY DD's self haircut. Didn't seem to matter where I hid the scissors, she seemed to find them and manage to get a snip or two before I could catch her. I finally gave up and had her yearly portrait taken with the "self" haircut so that later on I could blackmail her. Seems like now would be a good time, huh? :twisted:
Good Morning Ladies.......I'm sooooo excited in just 5 days DH and I are heading to Mickey's House!!!! First ALONE vacation in about 10 years.;)
I'm in FL for work this week (at the Swan/Dolphin) and it's sunny & 70 today! Of course, I'm inside at a customer event but still nice. Just stoppin' by to take a quick 5 minute lunch break and step "away" from the busi-ness to catch my breath. Ever have one of those days the merry-go-round seems to be spinning out of control? :rolleyes: LOL!
GREAT Scrappin' Gals! Many of you have made your goal for this month!! That's awesome! If not, you still have a few days and even then, if you just got a few pages scrapped, that's still progress!!
I will be posting the Feb thread tonight so you can check out the upcoming "happenings" AND be thinking of your Feb Calendar so you can come up with a goal that works for you! Can you believe January is already almost behind us? Wow!

However useful I find premade digi pages to be to get things done quickly, I do not find them as fulfulling. But I remind myself that it is more important for me to get the pictures and story recorded more than me doing the digital pages myself.

I so know that feeling! (although my "work" usually crawls into my bed in the middle of the night and then gets me up at 6! lol ;))
Just stopping by to say 'HELLO!' January has been a hectic month to say the least and am now getting ready for our Camporee this weekend; the younger girls are running a program that is earning them their Bronze Award. I'm SOOO ready for that to be over. I'm hoping to have lunch with Lela on Thursday if she calls so that will be fun. I can't wait to get back to my scrapping but looks like not until February. Everyone here is rockin' the pages and they're fabulous...not able to leave luv for everyone right now but will as soon as I can! Somehow I made my goals...so unusual for me ;-) Catch up with you all in February! :-)
11 down and 29 to go....home today due to the weather....the end of the month is near...hoping to get busy on completing quite a few more today. Wish me luck!

Great pages! I love how we all have different strengths...Elizabeth can do the purple, and you are afraid to touch it but are rockin' the Kraft, and I have never touched Kraft.
Here is a page I finished that my goal was to use as much stuff in my stash that I hold on to because it is "special". So I busted out some of the "special" stuff and used as much as I could:

Well, I leave to my hometown in Kansas tomorrow for my "official" job interview/meet the staff, etc. There is only 1 ob/gyn in my hometown and if I join I will make two. SSOOOO exciting but won't be with my scrappin' gear. I got MDS for my birthday in October and still haven't used it, maybe I'll do some digi (ack! scared to try!) and still meet my goal?
So if the envie comes, I'll get it Sunday night when I return to Phoenix.
Well goal is met, will work on uploaded my Project 365 pages this weekend, doing them digi, I keep going back and tweaking things, but I think I am done with that part too. Then I still want to get a few more pages in before the end of the month - go me!!!

Well, I missed the actual day Candy but I still hope everything went great! Happy Belated Birthday.
I've spent the last 3 days doing W2 and 1099 forms and annual payroll reporting so I haven't been on here much during the day. I did scrap the "Inspiration Word" last night so I will have it ready to download on Friday...Is there a specific time we are to download? (Is it cheating too much if I took it and scanned it so I could do a digi page?)With that page, I will have TRIPLED my original goal for January!
I need to take vacation from crafting the next 2 months so that I can concentrate on getting our business/personal taxes together for 2009. I always procrastinate on the business end and then tear my hair out the beginning of the next year! LOL! Mmmm...do I sense a possible New Year's Resolution?
Terry, I do bookkeeping for a couple of small businesses and I am still waiting on a few things from one of them for their 2008 year!
I've got my inspiration word, just need to get down to my craft room and figure out what pictures to use.
LOL! That doesn't make me feel too bad then. At least I get mine done in the timeframe it is supposed to be done! Ever since DGS came to live with us, I just can't seem to get and stay organized!

Good luck with your interview...and yes...try out that MDS. Digi scrapping is the BOMB! I dread having to do paper scrapping now..I am just SO NOT color coordinated/creative enough to put elements together correctly for interesting pages. I lean to putting the pics down and journaling beside them!

Hope everything goes well for you -- it sounds like a good position -- a feel good kind of job in a place you obviously like.
Once things calm down a little, I think you'll enjoy the convenience of digi.

My DH and I are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary today. I worked with him today (I don't usually work there, but I went in to help out a bit), we went out for a lovely dinner and I came home to a bouquet of 31 red roses. It is beautiful. Our 1st anniversary, I got 1 red rose -- our 2nd I got 2 -- he has never forgotten a year, or how many. It is so sweet.
I've been trying to leave a little love in the gallery, but it's just been hectic around here lately. My inspiration page is finished -- just waiting for Friday.

I so understand your not feeling as fulfilled doing quickpages; I feel that way too, but in my case, I just scrap what I choose since I'm "the grandma" and feel I have more choices as to what pics I scrap and what I don't. I'm sure you'll "mix it up" as time allows--quick vs. personally-designed digi or even paper.
The joy you'll feel looking through your albums of lovely pages with your family will be worth it--no matter what format you used--memories your family will remember for the rest of their lives. Now that's truly what counts!!
