I look forward to being a part of this groups for a long time!
I have already completed 2 layouts so I'm off to a good start!
Welcome! Wow...what great pages in your gallery. It's good that you are coming to join and play along. We'll be able to find your pages easily now. I just got back from Disney and got to see thru your pages some of the things we missed! That park is SO huge! And with a birthday party #7 coming up on the end of August, that pirate idea sounds good and I loved your pages. Great inspiration!
Thanks for your kind comments! I have enjoyed working on my Disney album but realize while looking at others' layouts that I didn't take near the pictures I should have!! lol Oh well, I'll have to get those the next time. It is hard to see everything, that's for sure.
Good luck with your pirate party (if you decide to do it). I'd be more than happy to send you up close pics of the invitation if you're interested. [email protected]
I had a slow July as I managed to finish only 2 pages. I don't mind as I did not think I would get any pages done. Hard to finish when I am not at home!!
I will go for 10 pages in Aug. which means I need to get home to start...........
Please put me down for 10 pages for August. We are starting school (homeschooling for my daughter), but I think I can do this. I did rearrange the furniture over the weekend & now have my own crafting space in the living room. I do not have enough space to have my own room here. I had a spot in the bedroom, but can't go in there during the day or the kids get into too many things & I can't go in there & scrap at night or I disturb DH's sleeping. He has to leave home at 4 AM each day!
I don't know Melina...I might have that title, slow poke of the year! I lowered my goals and still haven't been hitting them (and my yearly goal is lower than yours!). Fortunately, we are restarting our weekly scrapping get togethers tomorrow. A group of us that are available during the day (I really can't stand the 'stay' at home mom term since we all volunteer and/or work different schedules). We switched last year from Tuesday to Monday's and it didn't seem to work as well so we're back to Tuesdays and we have more people joining us...about 8 all together (but we'll see how many really are consistent ;-)) It seems like when I have a schedule I get more done. Tomorrow the mom's will scrap and the kiddos will swim & play...should be fun for all. Now I need to exercise then clean my house! My goals are in my siggy...have a great day!
LOL Mary Pat! This year just seems to be getting away from me! Your weekly scrap meetings sound wonderful! I didn't get re-hired full time at the school this year so I'm back on the sub list. I should have more time when the kids start back. DD starts this Thursday (!!!!!) and DS starts Monday.
Hi all! Even though, I did a lot of scrapping' in July, I feel like I did zero. I scrapped all for some one else. All the many pages done were not my personal lo's. I didn't upload any for the same reason. I don't think I'm adding to my goal because my count is usually my personal pages or at least something I have made for a gift for my friends or family.
So for August, put me down for 30 and I'll be sure to I'll play catch-up.

I did manage to meet my July goal of 10 pages. I'll try for 10 again in August. With holidays the beginning and again at the end of August, it might be a little harder, but I'll try.
We've had terrible weather here. Lots of rain. My Mom's basement flooded and we had to tear out all her carpeting as water was coming up through the concrete floors. We don't know if her house is structurally damaged or not. So we are now in the process of hauling everything up and it has given us the chance to go through everything. She has decided to sell a lot of it and donate lots of it as well. It's going to take us the next couple of weeks to get all that done. I know in the end it will be nice for her to have that HUGE job done. And as she's 85 years old, it'll be nice for us kids to have her here making the decisions.
This is definitely the main reason that I haven't been on here for the last month.

Deb- wow, that's a lot of work. It will be nice when it's all done
Jacqui- the only way I know is if people put the links into the thread. You can click on the member's name in the thread and it will give you several options, one being to view their gallery.
Is there some trick to get straight from this page, onto the Gallery? And how do I view member's gallery's? Thanks....
I click on Gallery at the top, then type in SBC10AUG in the search box on the lefthand side. Or sometimes I create an Internet Explorer favorite on my toolbar.

Anyone do it a faster, easier way?
I suspected as much. I have put the links in my signature, as I am leaving this office some time in near future, and would loose all the "favorites" from my Internet Explorer.
Thanks for you help.

The 90+ heat is keeping me at home and inside today! Maybe when I get more than a 2 minute break from playing Legos, I can run to my scrap room! lol
I'm enjoying seeing everyone's creations and appreciate all the kind comments! I'm glad Sarah and Valerie directed me to this group!
Laundry is piling up at my house, but right now the kids are totally engrossed in playing with their train set, so I am alternating between surfing the web and working on some more layouts. Love days like this! BTW, I am trying to clear out my craft room and I have lots of SU stamp sets that I need to sell. Anyone interested? They are all retired and most are from 2007 or earlier. I posted a thread on the buy/sell board, so check it out and PM me if you want anything.

My laundry is piling up and I'm supposed to be washing it to put in suitcases for a vacation that starts Sunday... .I'm torn between that, recuperating from VBS, and SCRAPPIN my 2005 disney pages... so thankful I have Amanda to live vicariously through for those

Lela, I think that happens to us all. Sometimes I'll go to an all day crop and my hubby can't believe I only finished three layouts in eight hours! But I checked out your layout, and it's quality work, so you can be proud of it. I plan to do some more scrapping today while my hubby is out of town, and I even finished a load of laundry, made the bed, and washed the dishes first. Ow, I just hurt myself while I was trying to pat my back.
I'm here for a bit. I'm back to designing cards for the church group again for next Saturday and getting kits together. So far I know of 5 ladies coming and another 5 are possibles so I figure I need close to 300 cards minimum. It's gonna be a challenge for sure! I've only got one design done so far with a sample. With school starting back up and DH changing his business over to a "real" business (LLC), I told the ladies I can't head these sessions up anymore. I stress too much over it and I don't seem to get anything else accomplished (but I didn't tell them that). I've done it now for 9 months while they've been waiting for someone to take over and lead the ministry and I figure as long as I volunteer, no one will ever step up and take over.
Today is DH birthday so we will go out for supper tonight to a steak house. I need to cut both guys' hair before we go though..both are getting pretty shabby looking. My BD is next Saturday...what a way to celebrate, huh? Making cards...lol! DGS BD is at the end of the month and our 15th Anniversary is on the 25th. We are going to Fogo de Chao in Philadelphia and spending overnight nearby. DGS gets to have a sleepover with a relative (he's SUPER excited) cause they have campfires and toasted marshmallows! So this month is definitely a full one! We have 3 other birthday parties to attend and then on Labor Day Monday, the neighborhood does a yard sale which I hope to get rid of lots of things so I've got that to prepare for as well. So much to do and so little time!
Terri! You're going to need a Scrap Weekend away in September just to take a break from all the celebrations and events you're scheduled for this month! Busy...busy...
Well today I finished 3 more pages so far in between all the house stuff I need to get done before I leave for work this week. I'm "on the road" again for a couple weeks. I'll be back to post my layouts, I hope to get a couple more pages and some cards done tonight....

Good Morning!I see Gallery is already filling up! Go ladies!
So,first week of August gone. I'm finishing projects today. I didn't renew SC fan club membership, so I can't upload on Sundays anymore :(. I have lots for tomorrow.
I am going to be super busy this week, my dd Cai comes home from Russia on the 13th. we are of course throwing a family shindig to celebrate homecoming/birthday (she turned 17 on August 1st) so excited to get my baby back home. Cai only has a few days at home and then off to move in dorm ( she will be a Senior/class of 2011)on the 18th.
Any one have any ideas for fun cook-out decorations, or recipes I would totally appreciate them.
I have some paper crafting plans for party, I started a 12x12 album for Cai's many pics of her trip, a welcome home banner/ party decor, tissue paper pom poms, and not sure but some type of pic display of landmarks she visited. As far as recipes, birthday cake, chicken, ribs, and corn on the grill is as far as I've gotten.
time to get moving...... Have a blessed !Sunday

I have spent alot of time scrapping the last few days...here are a few of the pages I finished. I have a drawer in my desk that is full of pictures so I decided that I was just getting a few out and making pages no matter what the picture was so I have a real mixture of pages completed. TFL
