You guys do AMAZING pages. And those of you doing it with kids to contend with are my heros :-) Currently I am a single grandma to a toddler 24/7 (when hubby is gone. He's gone 3 weeks and home 3 weeks) But daughter tells us she'll be situated and able to move the baby in with her in June. I hope come the first of July you'll have room for one more at your scrappin' table.

I'm sorry Patti about your Mom. You will definitely be in my thoughts.
Thanks Wendy for the link to Peppermint Creative phrases. I am always struggling for that "little catch phrase" on my layouts and she has so many that I know I would use.
I too haven't been very productive lately, but life has been very busy for me. I had 70 people to our home last night for dinner. We had a thank-you bbq for our staff for their support this past year. Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of losing my BIL and our business partner. This has been a very emotional time too for us, but we are getting better slowly.
My golf course opened for the season this weekend too -- so, since I usually golf about 4 times per week, that leaves less time in my scrap room.
My DH caught the front 9 yesterday. That's why I got 4 pages done yesterday! *giggle*

Oh my you are one strong woman! Raising your Gchild right now!
Of course we have room for you! Jump in anytime

There's always room for one more. I know what you mean with a toddler. Sure they eventually sleep but by then your energy is spent. Hope you get a chance to pop online to chat with us during VSBN April 23-25. You might not have the time or energy to scrap then but it might give you inspiration and you'll get to meet some of the girls. Take care and enjoy your grandchild because they grow up too quick.

Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.

It's already on my schedule to play. I'm not sure I"ll get to upload anything in time (I have to drive 40 mi. one way to use wifi) but hubby is home one more week and is going to do toddler duty. I'll miss Sat. morning because of a prior commitment but should be back in time to play after the last break on Sat.
Yes, energy is usually spent by evening. I'm a night writer and my fiction writing has been put aside for the most part because I just can't string 2 sentences together by the time she's in bed at 8.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Melina. I adore my grandtoddler. She is just too precious (that's her in my avatar 'cleaning her stamps') After being an empty nester for 5 years, this was quite a change. :-) I look forward to my own schedule again but I wouldn't have missed this time with her for all the world.

Welcome! You'll have lots to scrap if you take lots of pictures between now and then! Looking forward to "seeing" you over VSBN. I'm hosting a challenge on Sunday afternoon.
I can sympathize with you about having a young one around. My DGS is now 6 and has been living with my DH and I since he was born. Wasn't too bad when he couldn't get around but once he started to crawl and then walk, I've never been the same since! It's great fun and very rewarding most times but exhausting especially since I work 9 hour days.
Good morning. Annie, checked out your blogs. AWESOME! They're bookmarked. Great info.
I did a little shopping yesterday. We took Adrian to the zoo. She had a blast and we took a TON of pictures. For a little girl who was wide awake at 7 a.m. she did quite well. A cat nap on the way home but other than that, wide awake till we got home at 10. (the zoo is 2 hours away). I found some papers for her album which I plan to work on this weekend.

Morning Glories!
Hope your day is great! It is rainy and overcast in British Columbia, my favourite weather! I am motivated, have clarity of purpose, and the energy to back it up, and am going to get the Spring Cleaning accomplished on the main floor today. GO KRISTIN! My reward, I'm going to play scrapbooking tonight (I think there might even be a hockey game on to keep Daddy and boys occupied!).
May we all feel somewhat accomplished today, whether at work or home or play!
Kristin

I have not been around in a long time and probably will not hit my goal this month. Last week we received some bad news concerning my moms health and we have been up north to her house and will be going again this week for who knows how long. I wanted to share this as I feel you all are indeed my friends. This is a tough time for our family but with GOD on our side we will get through it. I will pop back in when I can. Please pray for our mom.
We have missed you and we will be sending hugs and prayers your way... Take care!

I have finished my goal for April with this layout........... I even finished the Christmas layout I was having so much trouble with this last week. I will be adding more to my count soon.
"Reality" is starting to set in... I can't believe that it is Thursday again all ready... and that we are half way through the month... AND NEXT WEEKEND IS ANOTHER AWESOME VSBN!!!! check it out... Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Anyway, The "Reality" of the matter is that I have been trying to come up with some fun new layouts to scrap for the VSBN weekend. And one came to mind this week while we were watching the "Deadliest Catch" marathon, with the boys, getting ready for the 2010 season. We really enjoy this show... but I can't help wanting a CAPE COD LOBSTER ROLL every time I watch it. SO you can only imagine, after watching all week, what we have been enjoying for lunch.
So we thought we would share our version of the recipe with all of you....
CAPE COD LOBSTER ROLLS
Ingredients
* 1 pound cooked & chilled lobster meat, cut into large pieces
* 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
* 1/16 cup finely chopped tarragon leaves
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise
* 1 lemon, juiced
* 1 green onion, diced
* 1 stalk celery, diced
* Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
* 4 hot dog buns
* 4 leaves flat green lettuce shredded
Directions:
In a large, chilled bowl, mix all ingredients well, making sure not to mash the lobster. Season well with salt and pepper. Grill or caramelize each hot dog bun and line with shredded lettuce and fill evenly with the lobster salad.
My Challenge to everyone today is to use the "Reality" of the recipe and your imagination to create a page or layout using either the colors from the Lobster Rolls, beach pictures, boating or even just plain fishing photos.
Ok I love the reciept thank you. I am glad I am not the only one here that likes the deadlist catch. My DH thinks that I am nuts for watching it LOL. Which is you favorite. Jess
