I just wanted to say thank you to Lela and Crystal, and all the other gals who have run and hosted the prior VSBNs. You do a LOT of work to get these weekend funfests put together!
And to our scrappin' ladies --
Gals-- if you haven't hosted a VSBN challenge before, why not give it a try. It's really not hard and Lela and Crystal can help you with the techie stuff. It's not the WHOLE VSBN -- just one of the many challenges they have throughout the weekend (April 23-25).
The theme this quarter--"Reality Shows" is great and pretty easy to come up with an idea. Then, you just have to (1) pick a time for your challenge (the girls will post those soon), (2) do a little write-up describing your challenge and (3) come up with a page for your theme. If you can, it would be great if you can hang around on the thread while your challenge is in play (but it's not mandatory.)
I'm thinking that if we want to have four VSBNs a year, some of us are gonna have to step up to the plate and help make it happen. Two gals can't do it all! (And Amazing Lela already has way too much on her plate!)
This will be my second time hosting a challenge. One cool thing I hadn't known -- as a hostess you get to see all the challenges early and can do any of them you want in advance--awesome perk!!
So please, give it some thought and see if you can't come up with an idea for a challenge and submit it to Lela and Crystal.

I'll get off my soapbox now! Thanks for listening!
Thanks for posting this Wendy!!! This is actually my first time hosting a challenge for VSBN and I'm a scrapbook challenge hostess so I'm a bit embarrassed to not have helped out in the past. It's really not a tough job to host a challenge and you would be surprised by what you can come up with if you just take a little time to think about it. There's approximately 15 challenges posted during the total VSBN and that would be a lot of challenges to come up with and sample pages to create for just these 2 ladies. If you have an idea and you're worried about getting all the posting details right, don't let that stop you. (I mention this because once when I did a call for guest hostesses for my challenge someone brought this up). There are plenty of us around here who will help you with creating the links and the galleries and such...I promise. So, come on and join the hosting fun!!:p
I didn't make my goal for march but I was just 6 away from my YTD goal at the end of March. So, put me down for 5 for April and I can hopefully get the remaining 6 done also, especially with VSBN this month. I volunteered to hostess a challenge or two and this is my first time hostessing. I love VSBN so thought why not.

I have been busy this month, after missing my goal for February and March I figured I better get moving this month if I want to get caught up this year! So these 4 layouts put me at 8 pages for the month...out of 26...still work to do!
Well I got 2 pages done, but I haven't uploaded them yet. Had the baby early. She was born Monday at 8;15 pm, she was 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20 in. I'm home but she is in the Intensive Care Nursery. Doubt I will get much more scrapping done.

Congrats on the birth of your baby! I hope everything is ok...why in the intensive care unit?

Thank you ladies. I really appreciate prayers. She is having problems with remembering to breathe and keeping her oxygen levels at a good level. We have mostly moved to her doing this while sleeping to doing it while eating. Just acting like a premie baby which she kind of is at 37 weeks.

Congratulations on the baby and hope she does well soon! She's a nice size baby for being a wee bit early and hopefully that will lead her on the road of healthy development. No scrapping but time to take all those photos to tell her story!

Congratulations.... Hugs and prayers are coming your way. DS #4 was born at 37 weeks and spent 10 in ICU, but you would never know it now. They can do such marvelous things with preemies now. Hope her day is good!
Congratulations Kelli on the birth of your baby girl. Have you named her yet? She certainly was a very good size for being early. Hopefully she will join your family at home soon.

52 Week Challenge #14 - 2010
Good Morning Everyone!!!
IT'S TIME FOR A GAME SHOW..... A "IT's REALITY" GAME SHOW!
Our family has a new found favorite game show called "A MINUTE TO WIN IT!" hosted by GUY Fieri on Sunday & Wednesday nights. Contestants are given a randomly chosen game with a "blue print" explanation. And then the contestant is given one minute to complete the game. If they do then the contestant wins money and moves up to try again. Each time the contestant chooses to play they get a chance to work their way to a million dollars. It is great fun to watch and we have even tried some of the games at home. They are very quick, simple, but not easy to do games that will have the whole family laughing in no time.
Okay... so back to Today/Yesterday's challenge... We are going to play "A Minute to Win it!" Your challenge is to work your way to a million dollar page or Layout!
Here is your Game "Blue Print"...
You have one minute to open an idea book and choose a layout or page to copy
You have one minute to choose the photos that your are going to scrap
You have one minute to choose your accents, embellishments and or bling
You have one minute to ruff sketch your layout
You have one minute to crop your photos
You have one minute to stick down the first layer of your page or layout
You have one minute to do any punching, crimping, and die-cutting
You have one minute to add and ribbon, hardware or tags
You have one minute to attach any other accents, embellishments, or Bling
You have one minute to add your journaling, words of wisdom or phrases.
You have one minute to set back, relax and enjoy your page!
put me down for 15 this month, I made 10 last month, but now survivor is in full swing along with my ct duties and the speed scrap I am hosting, plus a scrapping weekend with my SIL...should be able to get them done!
I have more Christmas pages but it gets a little tiresome doing all of them let along looking at them. That's why I took a small break to make a spring page.
Congrats on the baby! I am sure you will be out of the nicu soon, even if it means home with oxygen....we did two weeks in there with our second son, I know how it feels to not have your baby home....
