Hey everyone! Our Thankful Hearts Blog Party is under way and we've got a fun day of challenges, set reveals, sneak peeks and giveaways planned. Hop on over to the Verve Blog for all the festiviities!
I'll be popping in and out of this thread all day, but I'd love to hear what y'all are up to. Did you go to any doorbusters sales this morning? Have you found any great deals? What are your weekend plans? Stamping, stamping and more stamping?
My only shopping so far has been at one of my favorite online stores ... Emma's Paperie. I get so inspired when I'm looking through their website - so many thousands of fabulous products, so I splurged just a bit yesterday morning when their coupon code came through my inbox! And I've already got my shipping confirmation this morning, so I'm excited my new goodies are packed and on their way! Stamping bliss here I come!
I did go out at 4AM and honestly it was probably not worth it but I LOVE the challenge, the people, etc...... so I had to go. I even dragged hubby out- but they came home early and went to bed! I got home around 11AM.
Looking forward to today along with other jobs due to be done!
Wow, 4AM! That's commitment. LOL! Actually, I was just going to bed at 4AM, which is a whole other level of commitment (or just crazy!). As hubby often says, "I'm always trying to fit 10 pounds of spuds in a 5 pound sack!" So much to do!
We saw New Moon last week and I'm even more Team Jacob than I was before. Wow, Taylor Lautner is the perect Jacob! Sorry Edward fans - Edward broke my heart when he broke Bella's heart and I haven't quite been able to forgive him yet! LOL

4am is EARLY Heidi! I stick to online shopping on black Friday, not brave enough for the crowds!
I just saw the new Plain Janes and, as usual, they are fabulous! Right now I'm making 'bulk' Christmas cards and refreshing the Forum and the Blog from time to time... fun, fun! Can't wait to get started on the new challenges... tomorrow (while watching the USC - UCLA game) I plan to play!

Oh no, I am bad- every Black Friday AND the day after Christmas, whether I need something or not. I do not do returns the 26th though........ oh that is mean and ugly. I think that I am a junkie!
Julee- that is funny b/c I went to check on my son at 3:45 and he was still up, had not gone to bed so we drug him along. I just made him get out of bed at 2pm so he would not be out of "whack!".
I saw New Moon the other night as well and I was angrier with Edward now than I was in the book, and Jacob (oh sigh......... sigh, sigh- it is a shame he is the same age as my SON! as I push all those little thoughts out of my head!). Can anyone tell me though, WHY is Bella so unhappy, even when she is with Edward she is unhappy- my husband asked if she has ever/will ever smile.

I was absolutely devastated when I read the book and Edward left Bella. I felt like a part of my soul was ripped out, and I literally cried for days every time I thought about it. I was so glad I made it through that scene in the movie without bursting into tears. I'm such a cry baby! LOL :mrgreen:
I think Bella's a "grass is always greener" girl. She's uncomfortable in her own skin, and has no self-worth whatsoever. I'm hoping for a smile by the final movie, though! A girl can hope! LOL

That is too funny, Julee! I felt the same way when Edward left in the book! I called my friend who gave me the books and was like "You've gotta be kidding me!" I knew that couldn't be the end since there were 2 other HUGE books sitting on my dresser, but it took me a LONG while to forgive Edward for that! LOL
Julee-your cards get more and more beautiful, and I love your papers. THAT is my biggest problem, getting coordinating papers. I see paper- I love it and buy it, and then nothing coordinates. Your have a great eye for that.
All I know is 108 degrees would be a nice temperature to live with. LOL!

I went shopping this morning at 5 am! Shocking, since a) I've NEVER shopped on Black Friday before, b) I have a deep aversion to the store I shopped at, and c) I don't do mornings at all! The parking lot was full when I arrived. I was totally amusing myself driving around looking for a parking spot exclaiming, "You people are NUTS!" (as if I weren't one of them!). I ended up parking in a nearby field where the grass was up to my knees when I got out of my car. Crazy! But I got what I went for, and I was back home in my jammies snug in my bed by 5:20

We just got back from watching "Old Dogs". I laughed til I literally cried. I was quite the skeptic going in, but I lost in the vote. I wanted to see Blindsided. Oh, well. I think I tightened some ab muscles watching this one. It starts off extremely slow, but the middle packs a punch!!

Dang girl, it takes me 20min just to get to the store! I was amazed at how many women were "all made up" and I mean, hair, makeup, dressed .... it was amazing. I mean, I was dressed warmly (jeans, sweater) but no make up and my hair was pulled up- no fuss for sure!

Hi everyone!! I'm excited, I've done the color challenge and the embellish with Verve challenge!! I will be starting on the gift card and pizza box shortly! I haven't come up with an idea for the sketch, I haven't come up with an idea...yet!
