I've been sitting here for five days thinking- "What the heck is a nugget box?" LOL - nuggets are chicken in Australia! Now I know
Thanks so much for posting all these templates!!
Hahaha! Too funny Leanne! Nuggets are chicken in America too but in our usual crazy way so are those little chunks of chocolate. They are also called 'Treasures' and mini in a slightly different size.
Goodness me, this has been a labour of love! Many, many thanks for taking so much time and trouble "experimenting" and documenting these boxes and for sharing them so freely.
"The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it." ~Charles Swindoll
I just love these little boxes. I saw your Thread for the Nestle Treasure box, but for the life of me I could not find the nestle treasure candies anywhere. I went to walmart, two different drug stores and one supermarket. So I gave up on the Nestle Treasures and opted to go with the Hershey's Nuggets. (Although I like the Nestle Treasure a bit better) Wanted to say thanks for the blue prints for all the different size boxes, both the Treasures and the Nuggets. Awesome Job!
Okay, this is where I prove what a compulsive geek I am. I'm all excited about making nugget boxes, so of course, I have to try different sizes. And being the big geek, I can't stop until I've made every possible size that you can make from 8.5 by 11 cardstock (and now 12 by 12 also!)
In the replies to this topic, you'll find over 20 different PDF files, each to make a different size of nugget box. Each of the files has a name similar to this: nugget_box_8_long.pdf - this tells you how many nugget candies it holds (8 in this case). If the name includes 'long' or 'short', it just means that there is more than one shape of box that holds that number of nuggets. For example, 8 nuggets could be either one row of eight (long), or two rows of four (short).
If you click on one of the PDF files and get a blank screen, you probably need to upgrade your Adobe reader software. You can get the free upgrade at www.adobe.com - version 7.0 is the minimum that you should get.
The patterns are mixed in with quite a bit of discussion in this topic. Here's a list of which reply to look at to find the template you're looking for:
Talk about "compulsive geek"...I made 52 of these in various sizes for the staff at school for Valentines treats. Once I got started, I couldn't stop! I can't even count how many bags of nuggets I bought at WalMart.
Thank you so much for sharing your hard work!
Wow! thanks for your hard work - I'm just sitting here counting out making loads of these - thought it might be nice for my son's team for Valentine's because they are a fab group of kids - and of course it would be a secret valentine.
Wow! You are awesome. I work at a school and I am always looking for an idea to give the kids and the teachers I work with. Guess what I'm making this year? Thank you for all your hard work.
Wow this is just what we needed.....well at least I needed this. I've been wanting to make these nugget boxes forever!!! I've made them before at Stamp Club and a Stamp Camp. But always gave them away before I got to make them again! Thanks for all of the detailed info on this post. It's a little confussing, but I'll figure it out once I take the time to read through it. Thanks again for sharing!!!!

Wow, you are the GREATEST! Thanks for sharing!
I had a hard enough time copying a box I was given!
These are GREAT!
Thanks again for all your time, effort and generostiy!
Oh WOW! Thank you soooo much for sharing your awesome skills and tutorials with us! I really appreciate your talent and your willingness to share it! I have been inspired! My mother and mother-in-law will be getting some of these for Mother's Day!
Thank you Thank you Thank you! You will be blessed for taking the time to make so many of our lives and projects easier for the time you took to make this for all. I am forever appreciative. These are so neat
I have them at my Wal-mart and they are the cheapest I've found.
One bag is 2.38 .....not bad!
For some reason the Wal-marts in canada (well Calgary anyway) don't carry Nuggets, just the Hershy miniatures, which are somewhat nugget-like but they are thinner and not nearly as good (no truffles :( ). They aren't quite the same dimensions as the American Nuggets either (believe me I've tried!!). I'm almost willing to make a trip over the border to find them! Would you believe I've even checked on EBAY! haha Thanks for the help though
I find walmart only has them at Christmas time. I have found them at Zellers though and in the bulk food section of Save-On Foods.
Thanks! Zellers! I didn't even think of looking there! There aren't any Save-On's left in Alberta either, my mom is in BC though, maybe she'd mail them to me! LOL Thanks!!!:-D
Sobey's or Co-Op might sell them as well and in BC some of the drugstores sell them (maybe try London Drugs?) Another thought might be Superstores bulk section but I don't recall seeing them there last time I looked.
Good luck finding them as I know it's a pain trying to find something so specific to make these cute little boxes with but it' worth it customers LOVE them!
