I had trouble with your link ..at first...but I realised where the mistake was. "http: //" was written twice in the link.

Unfortunately its not what I was looking for :( .
Thank you for your help

The lid to the box is actually when the sides are closed up it forms the lid.

Thanks Glenda, that is a cute box, I will have to add that one in my favourites.

Alas it isn't what I was looking for..but I have found a picture of what I was looking for.. I hope the attachment works as this is the first time I have added one.

I know I have seen instructions somewhere..

Just looked but couldn't find it but i do know how to make it.

To make a 2" box.

Score a piece of card at Card is 8" by 6"

1" , 3" 5" and 7"

2" and 4" Now cut a tiny bit of each side of the 6" so it's about 5 6/8" wide.. this is the easyiest way to do this...

The next thing is the cutting... as you look at the card you will see you have

the red bit is the cutting guide

DSCF1145_by_sharron246 by sharron246 at Splitcoaststampers

what the cut looks like.

you mark 1 1/4 in from each edge on the 8" cut down till you meet a score line, then cut that score line.

your cut looks like a T shape.

after that it's quiet easy.

fold the 2 sections on either side of the center square up and stick to make your box.

Fold the 2 sections at the edge up to make half a lid..

then fold the 2 lids to the centre too make the box.

you can see it from the photo above,

Happy to help. I think it was hard to find because they called it an origami box, which of course it isn't.

I only found it because I got side-tracked and started to look at everything on the site (again). :-)

Wish I could take credit but is from someone else she credited me on sending her the idea, as she is wraping candy in 101 ways so thought the idea would add to her collection.
