Thank you, thank you. I have been teaching cardmaking for some 13 year and the hardest thing to teach is the knot or bow. With your permission I will refer my students to your tutorials. Great photography.
I am just a computer illiterate and do not get the hang of posting a card or anything like that. Again thanks. PC49
Hello and thank you for the great bow-tying tips. Here is yet another one that I have been making for a while. It is good if you just cannot get to grips with bow-tying or do not have a small slot punch. Hope you can follow my directions. Mariana
Thank you to MarianaB for some of the simplest instruction EVER! I've been a crafter for years, but its the whole upload thing that slows me down. Thank You.
By the way, does anyone have a Fav tool?Tell me then, desperate for answers in tool and product thread...
Wow! I nearly lost my mind today (what little there is left) trying to tie 6 knots on cards with exactly the same ribbon in the tutorial. Thanks you and a thousand heart hugs to you from Sunny California.

Hello
I am trying to re-locate a video I saw somewhere on how to tie a "stay put" bow. The tutorial punched a hole where the knot was to be tied and then it showed how to "navigate" the ribbon so it looked neat and tidy and the bow didn't move on the card. Does anyone know where I could find this? Am I just losing it with old age? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I too, am "bow challenged". I love the way they look but for some reason I have a hard time with them. I've saved your instructions and I'll give it a try. (The pictures wouldn't come through for me though. )
I use my first two fingers--they are usually right where I left them. Just wrap the ribbon around them (I go from right to left) and take the end of it and come up between your fingers from the back to the front below the "wrapped" ribbon, catching the other ribbon end in the loop (but it will stay in the back). Go over the top of the wrapped ribbon and tie the two ribbon ends together tightly in the back. You can play with it a bit if it needs to be bigger or smaller. I've tried the bow easy and watching videos, but this works best for me. When you wrap the ribbon around your fingers, it is more like laying it over the tops.
You can see my bows on my website--my brother says I use them on EVERYTHING (what does he know, anyway?!).
