Now if you ex-Girl Scouts can remember the verse for tying the bowline. That's the one I can never remember....... The bunny comes out of the hole., goes around the tree.....whatever. I need to look it up on the net and print it out so I can post it somewhere. Whenever I use fishing line for something in crafts, I never can remember it. Scout

Thank you for making this great instruction sheet! The pictures are a great help too.
I'm saving it to my computer for later use. Thank you again for sharing! :-)

Just tried out your instructions and they were great! I needed a simple flat knot and this did the trick perfectly!
Thanks so much,
Jeanne

Scout, I found this saying for tying a certain type of knot, but I'm not sure what it would look like: "The bunny rabbit comes out of his hole, goes around the tree and pops back into his hole again."
And I thought I was the only "bow challenged" person! Thanks for the great tips!! Now I can actually enjoy using ribbon since I won't have to feel as if it's "wrecking" the look of my card
Fabulous tutorial! Thanks for putting that together and sharing with us. My stampers group was beginning to groan with sympathy for me each time we had a bow-tying project.
WOW! Thanks to showmestamper! Your so great to send me the answers so quickly. I appreciate your willingness to share. Your work is one of the best I have ever seen. I would like to send you a snail mail thank you. May I have your address? Thanks Tinker Bell Debbie
I'm really challenged=I'm left-handed, so I will have to try this, but have a feeling I have to reverse the hands as stated, but that would still be worth a try, thanks for sharing and that your husband doesn't mind being involved also, what a guy! Carolyn
Thanks so much for posting this! I've been searching for something like this! I've even looked in bookstores! I'll pass it on at my stamp camps too! So many people feel inadequate tieing ribbon! Thanks again!
Thank you very very very much for posting this thread. I am definetly going to use it. My stamp class will really appreciate this as I seem to be using alot of ribbon for their Christmas card classes.
Ack - does anyone have the instructions for tying the Tiffany Bow? I tried the link provided but apparently the link has been hacked and is no longer any good.
You're right, looks like the link to the instructions for tying a Tiffany style bow is broken. Seems the photos are still out there though and I have a printout of the text, so here you go (at least until the photos disappear too)...
Retyped based on a printout saved from the original content at http://www.the-moores.net/?p=13 (link no longer works). Please note that I am not the original author of these Tiffany-style bow instructions.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I'm going to try this tonight! I always use the "cheater" method for ribbons. You are just a wealth of information!
Thanks again.....Happy knotting!!!!
Are you using one piece of ribbon? On stop one, you said pull tight....how? Its one peice of ribbon.. pull what tight?? See? I don;t get it. Please help.. i really want to be able to do these.
thanks Teresa

I am using one long piece of ribbon that is centered on a box or book (or you could use a card). So I started with two ends.
Lay out a long piece of ribbon horizontally. Place a box or book (these are easy to practice with) in the middle of it. Then hold one end of the ribbon in your left hand and one end in your right and bring them up to the center of the box. Then start from my tip sheet and continue from there. Hope this helps!
Just adding my thanks for this awesome step-by-step...so easy and so perfect! I thought I was an "OK" ribbon knotter before but now...look out!! ;) Thanks so much.

Sorry about that - if I was taking the photos again, I'd make sure to show it from a little farther away to include the ends. On the first photo, the ends are at the top and bottom.
