Default Background Stamps! Woohoo!!!!

I am SO excited this fine day here in sunny Southern California! I was inspired to try the large SU Sunflower BG stamp and oh my! I was able to put THREE different colors on using stamp pads and sponges! Without my MISTI I could have never done this. I've never been able to get a really clean inking of this stamp because of how big it is - I usually get ink-pad lines. I started out getting that but on the second inking - GONE!

I've noticed that there is very little activity in our little community. What is everyone doing with you MISTIs? Or am I just missing the discussions?

Everyone in Texas has run outside to enjoy the sun after the floods!

I have been MISTIing up a storm - I'm teaching a few MISTI classes at my retreat next weekend and I invented a SUPER fun technique I'll reveal soon

I did my swallowtail background with the distress stain watercolor technique using MISTI today and was able to add colors to it! I will be right back with a pic!

Just remembered my phone is charging so I can't take a picture at the moment. The tablet camera takes bad pics but I could try...

Muscrat I love what you did with that beautiful stamp. I too love it! You have inspired me to put up the daisy that I did yesterday. Im playing with PicMonkey for edges and watermark! Not sure I like this but here goes:

I am so loving the MISTI. I used a sponge to make the blending of the colors. I also did direct to paper on the SU butterfly die with Brilliance Copper ink. Love these ink pads!

Who else has something to share that has been done recently?

Love the blending of the colors and that butterfly looks like a copper piece!

Now that the MISTI has solved our "complete" image issue...OMG I love this tool, what is your favorite ink to use with the large background stamps and your MISTI?

I don't have a favorite. I use any and all of the ink I have for backgrounds. It more about color...which brand's color matches my project.

Default back ground stamps

I want to take my background stamps that I now have on wood and remove them off the wood and make them into clear type stamps so I can use them in my Misti. I rec'd my Misti but have not yet been able to use it. :(

Best thing you will ever do for yourself. All of mine are off the wood along with all of my roller stamps are now flat! So much more satisfying with our little MISTI girl! Enjoy!
