Vicky Papioannou's videos also inspired me to try art journaling. I thought art journaling meant you need the ability to draw, get messy and want to record your thoughts. I soon learned that it could also include using your stamps, clean pages and no need to do any actual "journaling". After watching hours and hours of videos, I created my first art journal pages.
Her style is very much akin to my style and she uses many different types of products and techniques. Very informative.
Some of her videos can be quite long, but I like that. Also, I don't like videos where there is no audio. I want to hear all of the explanations about the products and the techniques.

thanks for all the suggestions, all I can say is: more, more, more!! ;) I plan on doing some marathon watching this week. I have watched one of Gabrielle's videos, her work was beautiful! I have a feeling my "watch" list is about to grow exponentially.
Believe it or not I found a great basic background video on the Stampendous channel where she uses acrylic paints, blending solution and a brayer on a piece of hard plastic. I tried it using an 11 x 8 1/2 sticker release sheet and it didn't work as well because even though the paper was coated it still soaked up a lot of the paint, then the paint wasn't wet enough. I tried adding a spritz of water and ended up with a cool look but different, more streak like instead of smooth colors splotches. I've have since remembered a large sheet of hard-ish plastic kinda like she was using stored away in my closet. I got it years ago when my son was little and we used to make things with gallery glass. I'll be digging it out and will let ya'll know how it goes.
and to give you an idea of how long ago that was, he's in college now, lol.

Fran (owner of Stampendous) came out with a new product line within the last few years called Frantage.
I especially love the aged embossing powders (shabby chic) which is a mixture of different embossing powders with typically one of the 'ingredients' being metallic. The Frantage line also includes glass glitter, mica products and some other mixed embossing powders with glitter being one of the 'ingredients' and there may be a few other items in the Frantage line as well.
Fran has YouTube Frantage demo videos on the Stampendous channel if you're interested.

Thank you for sharing! I'm loving the videos,
Here is a link to some one i found early in paper-crafting; Vivian Keh's tutorials on her Contadina K blog. Tutorials | contadina k
This is some who narrates and leads you through her process and shows unique ways to use products.
Yes, I have looked at Fran's creative palette videos. I have a gelli plate, so I think the creative palette would be redundant for me, but it's neat !!!
I was just throwing the Frantage into the mix - I love those embossing powders so much (is it possible to love embossing powder? LOL)............

Oh yes!!! I mean isn't that what got a lot of us hooked in the first place, lol. I really need to pull them out and use them more.
I'm glad you mentioned the gelli plate as I have wondered what the big deal is and had wondered while watching Fran's video if the results/tech would be the same. Since I have the plastic sheet I guess I don't need a gelli plate.
I love the videos by MixedMedia Jenn. They have a music background and are sped up but it is obvious what she is doing. She shows the products she uses and inserts any clarifying comments. She mostly does art journaling, ATCs and index cards, but any of these techniques can be used for card making too.

Donna Downey always has amazing videos on her blog: simply me
I used to love her 'inspiration wednesday' YouTube videos, but I think she has stopped those and opted to go with only online workshops for which she does charge handsomely.

Limor uses a lot of Lindy's Stamp Gang products, so some of her videos may be the same as the ones that are in the Lindy's Stamp Gang YouTube channel that Louisa May mentioned higher in this thread. I like longer videos with audio and step-by-step and Limor has some lengthy videos.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
And another mixed media artist that I learn a lot from. She is bilingual (French/English) so some videos are in English and some are in French: https://www.youtube.com/user/scrapbookcentrale

I've started watching some of the suggestions here and all I can say is THANK YOU, oh and that my subscribe list has gotten much longer all of a sudden.
How sweet is the girl? She has said everything I wanted to hear to get started in art journaling and I love her work... oh, I wish I could see and touch something like her journal which she shows in the video.
I have been watching video's from this journalist the past couple of days and having the best time doing so. I LOVE his "ehhh who cares" attitude when he messes up or things don't go as planned.
