Hello and welcome to another mixed media challenge week in the Mix-Ability forum! This week you can choose whatever transfer method you like or want to try FIRST and then add your mixed media mojo! Here are some SCS tutorials that qualify as a transfer method.
I'd done printed image transfer with gel medium recently, enjoyed the process and would have been happy to do it again but I'm very short on time. I picked some leaves on the way back from shopping, but couldn't work out how to incorporate a leaf print into the card I needed to make without getting out my full size gel plate and taking more time than I had. So I went with the quick option of magical masking tape (the link in the first post isn't working??) I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article you linked, and again with more time would love to explore some of the ideas there.
