Here we are, already nearly a month in to this new year. Do you like calendars? Boy, I sure do. So many clean slates, places to line out the steps of my day, and multiple formats. But it got me thinking back to the days when the bank would give us a rolled up fabric calendar for the whole year! And they were printed with scenes, or maybe patterned with sunflowers! So let's give a nod to things that we need that might be unrecognizable to our younger selves. Let those old works of art inspire the new!

Challenge: Be inspired by calendars - old, new, digital, or anything about the dates those pages might show.

Calendars sent me to envelopes because I often make off-size envelopes from old calendar pages. My envelope here is part of the mixed media element, but I also included the little mini pics from the back of a calendar. Glad to have had some crafting time today - even on Friday's it's not a given these days :-(.

I'm a little late to the party, but I made it! I purchased an old calendar a few years back because I just love Marilyn Monroe, always have.

As soon as I heard Calendar, I started wondering how I could use it!
