Happy Mix-Ability day! This week's challenge is inspired by today's date, 9/25, which made me think nine-two-five, which made me think of 9 to 5, and I started singing that song!! Here's a photo to inspire your project - use colors, themes, or lyrics!
Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose from.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX400) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!
We don't usually do prizes, because just learning and having fun is rewarding. However 400 is a pretty big deal, so for a very limited time we are going to have a couple of prizes. One prize is a box of handmade quilled roses, made by MariLynn. One prize is a jar of paper glaze. Final prize is a Misti 2.0. To be eligible for the prize create a project with this week's challenge. Make sure you have the correct keyword MIX400 so that it shows up in the gallery. Next Friday we will use a random number generator to "Pick" the 3 winners. You will still be able to add projects to the gallery after that date because there is no time limit for challenges.
It's the first Friday for over a month that I've had the day off, so I appreciate the early posting. Gives me time to think about how I can incorporate the loose checks in her dress with one of my typewriter images. Thanks, Dina.
Please count me out of your prize draw - I'd hate to think of the expense of posting anything bulky over here, I think it stands at a minimum of $17 dollars for anything more than a large envelope.
My first time to participate in the Mix-Ability Challenge. I was inspired by the colors in the photo. Thanks for a great challenge Dini! Here's my card:
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
Well it is Friday. You have had a week to make a project to enter the prize contest. We had 14 entries to the gallery. Thanks so much for playing along. I used a random number generator to pick the 3 winners. So drum roll please..........For the first prize, MariLynn's box of hand quilled roses goes to #11 ruby-heartedmom. The second prize, the paper glaze goes to #2, which happens to be me. You have to know that I didn't cheat because if I had I would have picked to win the piece de resistance prize number three, the Misti 2.0 because I don't have one. But having said that the random number generator picked #4 snietje. Congratulations ladies. I will send you a private message to get addresses. Thanks again for playing along with our #400 MIX-ability challenge. Here is to many many more!

Thank you so much, I don't got a Misti neither so I'm really pleased!!
Congrats to the other prize winners and thank you for the great challenges!!
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on a few Easter cards that I forgot to post!
I think I might have misinterpreted the challenge! I thought you were to find a song, movie, etc. to inspire your card. I didn't understand that you had to use the 9 to 5 movie, song, etc., but in re-reading while posting here, I think I discovered my error!
Since I needed Easter cards, I let an Easter song inspire me! You'll find my inspiration song posted in the card description..."How Deep the Father's Love for Us" sung by Stuart Townsend. It's a beauty!
My mediums: chalk or pigment ink (edge distressing), dye-ink (sentiment stamping), computer ink: inside verse).
