Happy Mix-Ability day! So, here in my part of the US, kiddos are heading back to school. I was never a fan of summer. I loved school - orderly, wonderful supplies, and all that went with it. Except...the germs!
This week, let's have fun killing off some germs with hand sanitizer! Here's how: Squirt out a generous blob of hand sanitizer onto your work surface. Drop in some reinker, copic refill juice, or another colorant. Swirl it together. Gently lay your paper over the surface and pat to make sure you have good contact. Lift it off, then let it dry. Now you have a unique print to use for your project!
I used hand sanitizer with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and smooshed that on my paper. It was too pale, so I pulled out the Brusho powders. I wondered how it would respond to the hand sanitizer. Let me tell ya - magical! So that's the blue and red bits in the water. I colored this sweet gal with Copics, added some wink of stella on her floatie, and put a tiny rhinestone in the center of the flower.
And it's tiny! I'm addicted to these little notecards. They start with a 5x7 inch panel that I fold in half. Perfect for little notes when you want to spread love, but don't have a long letter to write. So easy and perfect for a last fling with summer!
Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX342) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can come ooh and ahh!

That sounds like great fun, and I <3 an early post, you're da bomb. But wouldn't you know it,. I've just dropped DH to the airport and I'm going to spend the night with my sister so I can't even avail of it today. My to-do list for Sunday just grows and grows.
I am an inky mess and hope I can get some of the color off my fingers before I head to work! Took me 4 tries to figure out a good ratio between sanitizer and ink drops . . .
so glad for this challenge today as I had this card I "julia-fied" by fussy cutting the chick and propping it up over my soft peachy background- didn't have hand sanitizer but substituted a chlorox wipe instead. Added some embellishments with my eyelet and ribbon vertical borders- and finished with a hand written sentiment. Here's MIX342 floral thinking of you
For a childhood family friend who lost her DH (93 years old) after a happy life.

What a fun technique! I don't have reinkers, so used a couple of my Dylusions Ink sprays. Spread hand sanitizer on my craft mat and sprayed with my inks. Laid my water color paper on it and pressed gently. Here is my card
