I have lumpy/bumpy sorted by color boxes as Cabela's tackleboxes on shelves in the closet because, the stack well and I can glance at a box and see its a green box or a red box.

hth,
I do basically the same thing. I put mine in see-through plastic shoeboxes and it is easy to find what I need. I'm in the process of sorting all my decorative paper by color, too.

I use the craft organizer cases from Hobby Lobby...they are 1.99 each, usually in the jewelry section. I keep all my little individual stuff by color in those....the have about 20-25 sections...I keep my rhinestones, buttons, flowers, embroidery floss, some felt shapes, etc in these. I have a pink box, red, blue, green and so on. I keep my ribbon by color wrapped on 8" x 15" (approx) foamcore pieces that I made to fit a lined basket. I can get about 20-30 different ribbons on each piece. Stickers and thickers sorted by color in plastic shoes boxes. I do have my brads altogether in one organizer box...never sorted those!! I use sterilite plastic 12 x 12 drawers to sort my paper scraps by color and another stack for stickers, rub ons, chipboard, other elements by theme. Paper sorted by color mostly in file crates. Ink pads in an old wooden cassette storage piece. I think that is it!!

definitely store by color so all your goodies are right there together! If you know any moms using the Gerber baby foods in the plastic containers, they are great to keep little things, covers stay on tight and they are see-through.
